OLVIAS MIND WAS A COMPLETE AND UTTER MESS

It was like wonderland up there. She sat on the edge of the couch where Alex had his head on her lap as he slept. Reggie was asleep in a large armchair beside them.

Olivia ran her fingers through his soft blonde hair as her mind replayed the meeting with Willie moments before.

Flashback

"All these jolts we're getting is because Caleb put a stamp on us?" Luke asked fiercely as the ghosts walked down Hollywood boulevard.

"He's threatened by you! He wants you under his control. I mean, you're the only ghosts that can be visible to lifers without his help." Wyllie explained tiredly. Olivia frowned as she walked beside Alex and Reggie.

"Wait wait, but how did he stamp me? I didn't touch him at all that night?'' Olivia asked as they all stopped walking and faced the girl.

Lukes's frown deepened at her words, he had been wondering that same question.

"You remember when you first met him on the way to the bathroom? When he kissed your hand? He stamped you then, you probably felt some kind of stinging pain in your wrist after. Remember?"

Now that he had mentioned it, it did make sense. The static pain she felt as she walked away from him. That was his stupid stamp

"Ok and you let him do this to us?" Olivia asked betrayed , it was one thing to do this to all of them but another to betray Alex like this.

"I can't stop him! He owns my soul. Alright, he owns everybody's soul at that club. If he even knew I was here talking to you he ... he would destroy me" Willie said with a wounded expression, his voice cracking towards the end.

Olivia wanted to hate him for doing this to them, but he was going through the same thing. They all could tell Willie hadn't wanted them to get stamped, they knew he didn't have a choice.

"So if we don't join this club, the weird power outage thing continues till there is no more power at all?" Reggie asked with a frown.

"Yes," Willie said looking at the ground, trying to avoid Alex's hurt gaze.

"What exactly happens when the power goes out?" Olivia asked quietly.

"That's- that's it. You're done.'' Willie said morbidly, Olivia swallowed dryly.

"Uh huh- and what exactly do you mean by 'we're done, " Reggie asked.

"You don't exist anymore. Not anywhere"

"What?" Olivia whispered as Alex threw an arm around her shoulders protectively. It was bad enough that they were dead, but to be dead without his sister by his side was something Alex couldn't live with.

"So we have to choose? We have to say goodbye to Julie, give up everything we built together and work for Caleb?" Luke ask angrily as he gripped Olivia's hand tightly.

The girl interlocked their fingers as each of them held on to the other as if they were a lifeline.

"But there is another option! That's why I'm here" Willow cried desperately.

"Another option? What?" Olivia asked unsurely.

Unfinished business, Olivia thought as her mind tuned back to the present.

Willie explained all ghosts had unfinished business and that as long as they figured out what theirs was and finished it, they could cross over.

Everything about that made Olivia's head hurt.

What was their unfinished business? Was it something they could do as ghosts? How much time did they have left? Where would they go if they crossed over? Heaven? Hell? Even if she did cross over would the guys be with her?

The last thought made her shudder. She couldn't imagine going anywhere without them. They were her anchor.

She was theirs.

She ran her hand through her hair and leaned her head against the couch with a sigh.

Luke walked out of the bathroom that moment and watched the girl with a pained expression. She was wracking her brain for what could be their unfinished business, probably coming up with tons of backup plans in her head if things went south.

Deep down Luke felt guilty. If he hadn't been so pissed at Bobby and gone to find Caleb, this would have never happened.

But as he watched Olivia sit upright again and press a kiss to Alex's forehead before standing up to walk out the door, his heart couldn't help but grow with more love for the girl.

Olivia was always constantly taking care of them. Being there for each of them, supporting them.

She never put herself first, and even now with their souls at stake, all she was doing was coming up with ways to save them.

Luke had enough of it.

He was finally going to show the girl how much she meant to him.

Luke grabbed his acoustic and poofed up to the garage roof. Olivia sat on the roof with her blonde hair whipping around her face from the cool night breeze.

She turned at the sound of Lukes's shoes against the roof and smiled at him.

"Hey, why aren't you asleep?" Olivia asked as the boy took a seat beside her.

"Same as you, had too much on my mind" Luke chuckled softly as he propped his guitar on his leg.

He started to play a soft melody, something he had been practicing for a while now. Just for this moment.

Olivia tucked her knees up to her chest and rested her cheek on them, watching and listening closely as the boy began to sing.

[LINE WITHOUT A HOOK BY LUKE PATTERSON]

"I don't give a dam about the way you touch me when we're alone. You can hold my hand when no one is home.

Do you like it when I'm away? If I went and hurt my body would you love me the same? "

As he sang, Lukes's adoring gaze never left Olivias. The boy has never sung anything so sweetly or sincerely before. Maybe Olivia but this was different.

He wanted the girl to realize how much she meant to him, how special she was to him. How much he loved her, how he would do anything for her,  how she was the brightest star he knew.

How much he wanted her to be his.

"Oh baby, I am a wreck when I'm without you. I need you here to stay. Broke all my bones the day I found you crying at the lake.

Was it something I said to make you feel like you were a burden? Oh if I could take it all back I swear that I would, pull you from the tide."

Olivia couldn't look away.

The song. It was just - it was everything. Each lyric was written so beautifully, with so much meaning behind them it hit Olivia like a truck.

She let herself forget everything wrong with the world. Everything about Caleb and unfinished business. She left herself just to be there in the moment, with Luke Patterson and the most beautiful song he ever wrote.

For her.  About her.

From the way, he sang with such emotion, the way he didn't even look down at his guitar once while changing chords.

The way he looked at her like she was everything and more.

"Guess there is something and there is nothing, there is nothing in between. But in my eyes there is a tiny dancer, watching over me.

He's singing "shes a- she a lady, and I am just a boy singing "She a - she's a lady" and I am just a boy without a hook!"

Luke grinned at her with such love as he strummed the melody for the chorus. Olivia melted right there and then.

"Oh baby I am a wreck when I'm without you, I need you here to stay. Broke all my bones the day I found you, crying at the lake. Was it something I said to make you feel like you were a burden? Oh if I could take it all back I swear that i -"

He stopped strumming, singing the last words with no guitar.

"Would pull you from the tide."

Olivia was breathless as Luke stared at her with nothing but love on his face. Her heart was going miles a minute and all she wanted to do was cup his face in her hands and bury her face in the crook of his elbows.

She could barely form a sentence.

"Luke. I -"

"Olivia, I love you!"

Her heart stopped.

"Olivia I've loved you since the moment I  laid eyes on you. From the moment Alex introduced us and you smiled at me, I loved you ever since.

I've love the way you hate it when Alex beats you in basketball and you don't speak to him for hours, how you always make sure Reggie never leaves the house without his keys because you know he's forgetful.

I love how you have this certain face you make when you're focusing hard on something where you stick your tongue out a little. I love how you always make strawberry shortcakes on our birthdays because that's the only thing you know how to make.

I love that you love the color yellow because it reminds you of spring and flowers. I love that you always put peanut butter first before you put the jam because-"

"It's the only correct way to eat a PB and Jay" Olivia laughs through happy tears.

"Yeah, and I love how you laugh at almost everything. I love your laugh, oh my god I love it. I could listen to you laugh all day I swear. I loved you since the first time I ever saw you pick up a guitar and sing. I love how you are always putting others before yourself because that's just who you are!

You are the most selfless, kindest, most precious person I have ever known and I love you. I have loved you since high school and I love you now. I love you."

Olivia didn't know what to say I mean, the girl was practically breathless. Lukes's heart was spinning out of control but he had to get the words out.

He had been waiting to say them for far too long.

Over time the boy had gotten nearer to the girl and now he had his hands cupped around her face, Olivia's arm on his shoulder.

Both of them were breathing heavily and Luke swallowed nervously.

"Ol?"

The girl stared at the boy for a second, and she couldn't take it anymore. She leaned it and pressed her lips to his.

Fireworks. Went. Off

Their worlds exploded, kaboom. Everything was happening all at once and to the teenagers, it felt as if they were the only people in the world.

Luke hungrily kissed back, his hands cupping Olivia's face closer to his. Olivia's arms wrapped around his neck and pulled him closer to her.

None of them could believe it was finally happening. This moment they had dreamed of for their whole life.

The two separated for air, Luke resting his forehead against hers. He gave her small kisses now and then before she smiled at him. Their foreheads resting against each other, wrapped in each other's arms.

"Hi" she breathed.

"Hi" He smiled.
