Takemichi's POV

"Wow, what a crowd." Hina said as we approach the shrine.

Today is the last day of this year and Hina is my date. I promised that I won't let some gremlins take her away from me this time but..

"Naoto, be sure to follow us. Don't separate." Hina said.

"Nee-san, I'm not someone who easily gets lost. You're the one who has a wrong sense of direction." Naoto said.

"N-Naoto, that was only one time." She said.

"This was supposed to be me and Hina.." I muttered.

"Takemichi-kun?" Hina asked

"But why are you here!" I said and pointed at Naoto.

"There's nothing I can do, dad asked me to come with nee-chan. "Don't leave your sister's side" he said." Naoto said.

Over-protective fathers are the biggest boulder in a relationship.

"So, what did dad said to make you agree? I know you won't say yes without anything in exchange." Hina asked and Naoto looked away and turned around.

"He said he would take me to their office for a tour." He mumbled.

"I see." Hina said and I sighed in defeat. There's nothing I can do but to bear with it.

While I was sulking around someone called my name.

"Takemicchi!" They said and when I turned around I saw Mitsuya-kun and his sisters with Hakkai and Yuzuha.

"Looks like you're all dressed for shichigo-san." Mitsuya said.

"Sup!" Hakkai said.

"Huh? Mitsuya-kun, are these two your little sisters?" Hina asked as she bend over Mana and Luna.

"Yeah, and I guess he's your brother?" Mitsuya asked Hina, referring to Naoto. Hina hummed in response.

"Yay! Pretty lady♡︎." Luna and Mana said and hugged Hina.

"You guys are so cute. How old are you?" Hina asked sweetly.

"I'm 12, and Mana is 8." Luna said.

It might be nice...

The last time I asked them, they called me "dumb face".

"How are you guys doing?" I asked Hakkai and Yuzuha.

"Everything's been going well. We also went back home. We sometimes talk to Taiju but he would rarely be home. I guess he's giving us space." Yuzuha said.

"Hear this, Takemicchi. Taiju even gave us late Christmas presents." Hakkai whispered.

"I see, isn't that great?" I said.

"Well, the issue is he gave us clothes in the wrong sizes." Hakkai said.

"At least he's really trying his best. It was the best gift I could've received this Christmas." Yuzuha said.

"I'm glad that everything is starting to be okay for you guys." I said and smiled.

She was about to say something when I heard Hina laugh.

When I turned around I saw Luna playing with Hina while Mana is suddenly being carried by Naoto.

"Hey! That's my Hina!" I shouted.

"How can you yell that and not die of embarrassment?" Mitsuya-kun asked.

"Haven't we seen worse?" Hakkai said.

"Oh yeah, Y/n and Mikey are more extreme than this." Mitsuya said.

"There goes my date." I said in defeat.

"Sorry 'bout that Takemicchi." Mitsuya said and pat my back.

"Ah! Takemichi-kun. They got Ema here." Hina said

"Ooh!! Let's get some to write on!" I said.

"Yeah! Let's all get one." Hakkai-kun said.

"Oh, I remember these, Y/n used to make us write on these." Mitsuya said

"You write your wishes on them, don't you?" Yuzuha asked and Mitsuya nodded.

I wonder what will I write this time. It was embarrassing last time so I need to change it because this time it's different.

I thought for a second before an idea popped up and I began to write it.

"Yeah!" I said as I finished writing my wish.

"What did you write?" Hina asked.

"Uhm, Hina, well you see. If I let anyone see it, then it won't come true!!" I said as I hide it.

"Huh? What is it?" Hakkai asked.

"Here, let me see, Takemicchi." Mitsuya asked behind me and I accidentally threw it up.

I screamed in panic and tried to chase it but when it landed, someone picked it up.

"Chifuyu?! Peh-yan-kun?!" I said and they looked at me. Baji-kun and Kazutora-kun was also with them

"Give that back!" I said and he tossed it again.

"Why did you throw it, you jerk!" I said.

"Sorry, reflex." He said and I chased it again.

Mikey's POV

"Are you cold?" I asked Y/n who was standing next to me.

"You call this cold? I'm wearing 5 layers of thick clothing and I'm starting to sweat." She said and I laughed.

"Don't complain, you can't catch a cold before you could even perform." Tatsuya-san said.

"But papa, isn't this a bit too much? I'm like a sheep that's never been shaved." She complained.

"You'll be cold later when you dance. Just think of it as warm-up." Tatsuya said.

"Then, I don't mind another layer to warm me up." She said and looked at me. I only chuckled and hugged her.

"Can the two of you stop being all lovey-dovey all the time you're together?" Tatsuya-san asked.

"No" we both said and smiled at him. He sighed before smiling and patting our heads at the same time.

It was nice but then he suddenly grabbed my collar and separate us.

"You two may be engaged but don't show your affection with each other too publicly, you two are distracting the other people here." He said. I only chuckled and said sorry while Y/n pouted.

"Hmmph." She said

"Anyway, where's your sister?" Tatsuya-san asked.

"I think Aki went with Shin-nii and the other to get an ema." Y/n-said.

"I see." He replied.

A moment later, Emma, Ken-chin, aniki, Akio-san, and the others finally came back.

We began to talk about everyone's new year's resolution when I heard Takemicchi shout.

I saw him running to us. Behind him, I saw Mtsuya, Baji, Kazutora, Mucho, and the others catching up to him.

"What do you mean, your Emma?" Emma asked.

"Oh! Takemicchi." Ken-chin greeted me as I picked something on the ground.

It was Takemicchi's ema and I read what he wrote, and I smiled.

"Did you mean this?" I asked.

"Aaaaahhh!!" He exclaimed.

"Please, give that back." He said and I chuckled.

"You look pretty desperate. Okay! Here you go." I said then the crowd suddenly cheered.

"10 seconds till new year!" They shouted.

"Let's jump together, guys!" Y/n said.

"Three!" the crowd counted down.

"Two!" I looked at Y/n's excited face and smiled. She also looked at me and we held hands.

"One!" The count down ended and we all jumped.

"Happy new year!!" Everyone exclaimed and I accidentally tossed the ema upwards.
