entering the room, you could already hear the chattering of people talking. not only that, but you could feel the strong bass of the music flowing through your body. looking around in the dimly lit room, you could see people socializing and drinks everywhere. it had smelled of alcohol. parties. you loved parties, only because your friends had their ways to keep you entertained.

people had already began making out on the couches and some had already thrown up due to all the booze. the party wasn't very large, it was only made up of people from school jean was mutuals with. hence, there were about 20 people at most.

"y/n!" eren exclaimed, walking over to you. behind him was the rest of your group, all wearing the same grin on their faces.

"told you she wouldn't be late. no way she'd miss one of my awesome parties, huh y/n." jean smirked, nudging you.

"yeah yeah whatever, i'm going to go get a drink." you said to him, smiling.

"we'll wait here." mikasa said to you.

turning away from your friends, you walked over to the bar at the side of the apartment, and ordered yourself a beer to get yourself started for the night.

downing the beer, you quickly threw away the red disposable party cup, crumbling it. you thanked the bar tender and walked back to your group before you could get caught up with a random person.

"that was fast." armin muttered.

"hey y/n, we're gonna play spin the bottle with everyone in about ten minutes. you should join." ymir stated.

"who knows, you might get lucky and land on hange." connie said, patting your shoulder while laughing.

"god i sure hope they finally kiss. one of them needs to hurry up and make a move." historia said, sounding annoyed.

this was when all your friends began teasing you about hange, but you weren't paying attention.

staring at the bar once again, you caught the familiar blonde hair that you once held very dearly. she was with her two other friends, another blonde and the dark haired boy. you sat and glanced at her, that familiar frame, her familiar face. it once felt like home to you. you felt a knot in your stomach form as you painfully looked away from her.

it was annie. she did show up at this party after all.

you stated at her for a little more, until she turned and glanced at you back, her features hardening, as she downed her cup of booze and looked away from you.

"hey." you heard a silky voice state, behind you.

a smile crept on your face almost immediately, realizing who it was. spinning around, you were met with hange and levi. god, hange looked so stunning. who let them look so hot? they had looked as they usually did, but wore a more casual outfit, and had smelled of fresh lavender.

"hey. it's good to see you here." you said to them.

you glanced at hange, as they smiled back at you. you saw their mouth move, telling you something. you weren't paying attention, though. you had tuned out everything around you.

instead, were glancing back at the bar towards your ex, who had been staring at you back. this time, annie had been glaring at you two intensely, brows furrowed. she had her jealous expression on.

hange realized you weren't paying attention, and looked to where you were staring, as she realized you were staring at your ex, who was also doing the same to you.

you turned your head, looking back up at hange.

to your dismay, you watched as their facial expression fell. instead of their usual toothy grin they always wore, they were frowning now. you could almost feel the emotion of sadness and jealousy overcome hange in that moment, and your heart shattered.

"hange-" you began, placing a hand on their arm.

"spin the bottle time, everyone!" sasha shouted, as she ran towards the middle of the room, setting a bottle down on the floor.

hange walked away from you with levi, completely silent. they walked towards the circle of people forming around the bottle and sat down.

you did the same, sitting across from hange.

looking to your left, you watched as annie and her two friends also sat down, somewhat near you.

"who's gonna start?" armin questioned.

"i'll go." eren said.

and so the game began.
