When I woke up, the bartender was back and a few more customers came. When I was about to pay for my drink the bartender told me "A young man came earlier and paid for your drink. Don't worry about it." I left the bar confused. But that didn't matter.

Chuuya pov

It's been 3 weeks since Dazai left the mafia and 2 weeks since I found out. Ever since I did, I've unconsciously gained a new habit of checking the news on su!cide attempts, scared of losing the brunette. I might be able to bear him leaving me if I just knew he was okay. If I just knew where he was. If he just told me why he left... But of course I would never admit that out loud.

Other then me, I think the only other person who missed Dazai the most was Akutagawa. He was a good, strong kid and he had a promising future here in the mafia. But the kid has been asking me where Dazai went or when he would come back and why he left. Telling me that he wanted to see him and wanted him to be the one teaching him. I didn't know what to answer him for I was asking those very same questions myself. Besides that, everything was completely normal. Nothing has changed. It was like he was never here.

"I should just head home early." I mumbled. I told Akutagawa I was leaving early and that he was free to go and got ready to head out.

It was a peaceful Friday. There weren't a lot of people out on the streets. From time to time I would see a few people biking or a child holding their mothers hands as they crossed the street. I passed by the park and saw a few kids playing by the playground and 2 lovers on a bench having ice cream. From time to time, I would see people going in and out of shops while others were on their way home. There were very few cars and no traffic. But right now the only things I could hear were the sound of the wind as the sun started to set. It was truly a beautiful sight.

When I got home, I didn't feel like doing anything. So I had a quick bath and went straight to bed after putting on some comfy oversized clothes.

Dazai. "I miss you..." I missed him so much. I miss his voice. His smile. His beautiful smile and gorgeous eyes. I missed the most simple things. I missed the way he would watch me as I made breakfast. From time to time helping me. I miss seeing him on my couch reading. I miss going out on missions with him. We were really a great duo. I miss his warmth. I even miss how he would tell me things every night I never thought I'd hear from him. I miss how he would notice every little thing about me that even I didn't notice. I loved hearing him say things he loved about me. Things that I didn't like about myself that he did. That comforted me. A lot. Even if it was all a lie, I would still want to believe it. I miss the way he would rest his lips on mine before he went to bed almost every night and... I miss the way he told me he loved me. Maybe if I had more time, I would've done the same. If I just confessed or stopped trying to deny these feelings, would things have been different than the way things were right now? Let's just get some rest...

"Chuuya!~ Hurry up! I'm hungry!" The air was light and filled with happiness. A tall brunette was gently pulling me by my arm headed towards an edge of a cliff. (Of course not too near the edge) "Wow~ The view here really is great, isn't it chibi?" I walked a little closer to see what the boy was talking about. Woah. The view was beautiful. From here you could see the ocean as it hit against the edges of the cliff. The sun was starting to rise and at a distance you could see a flock of birds flying through the sky. The sky was a shade of blue with a hint of pink and yellow. From afar, you can see the reflection of the sun on the ocean as it started to slowly rise. "Chuuya! Let's set the picnic here so we can get a clear view."

I set the picnic blanket on the ground then sat down. The brunette all of a sudden walked towards the edge of the forest and when he came back, he was carrying a flower. "Chuuya look what I found! Isn't this flower so pretty? It's the same color as your eyes~ Here." He placed the flower on my ear. The brunette then put the basket in the middle and took out some food and wine. Once he finished, he sat beside me and rested his head on my shoulders while eating a sandwich he helped me prepare. "This is really great Chuuya." I chuckled. "Which? The view? That we get to go on a date or are you talking about the sandwich?" "If I say all of it, including the sandwich would you be mad?" ... "You're really funny you know?" I said sarcastically. "Aw~ Thank you~" *Sigh "But seriously, thanks for doing this with me Chuu." He took my hand with his free one and intertwined our fingers. His touch felt so warm and comforting.

It's been 2 hours and we spent it talking about the most random things for what felt like only a few minutes. This was the most fun we had in a while. The mackerel all of a sudden laid his head on my lap. He raised one of his hands and laid it on my face, sort of caressing it with his thumb. I looked down to see him smiling. "What? Is there something on my face?" "Mmm no. It's just you're so pretty Chuuya. Your eyes are so mesmerizing. I feel like I could stare at them aaall day~" ... 'This guy seriously...' I thought. I could feel my face heat up. "Aw Chuu are you blushing?~" "What? No!" Laughter started to fill the air. He looks so cute when he laughs honestly. I chuckled. "Haa. You know I love you right Chuuya?" He stretched out his arm and lowered my head to give me a kiss. He let go of me after a few seconds to wait for my reply. "Yes. I know." "And?~" *Sigh "I love you too..." "Aw Chuuya~ Can you say that again please?" He said in a sweet teasing voice. "Stop making me say embarrassing things already!" I could feel my face heating up even more if that was even possible. But honestly, I wish it was always like this. I wish we could stay happy together forever...

TW!
The sun was almost at its highest when all of a sudden the brunette spoke. "Hey Chuu. I think I'm going to try to jump. You know? For a swim?" What did he say? "What? You mean diving?" I said in a worried voice. "Yeah exactly!" "From this height?? I don't think that's safe. Let's just stay up here." I said in a more serious tone. The boy ignored me and got up and started to walk towards the edge of the cliff. "Hey! Get back here!" W-what is he doing? If he jumps from that height he'd surely be dead! Why won't he listen to me? Why won't he stay with me? He turned around to look at the worried ginger's face. "Come on Chuuya~ It's gonna be fun! I promise." He said with a smile on his face. "Plus. If anything goes wrong, you'll catch me, right? You'll save me, won't you Chuuya?" He kept walking backwards until he was on the very edge of the cliff. Out of instinct, I got up and started running towards him. But for some reason, no matter how fast I ran I could never reach him. The tall brunette looked at me and smiled. "Dazai please! Wait- WAIT DAZAI NOO!!"

I sat straight up. I could hear myself panting. I held my chest tight, desperately gasping for air. W-what was that? A nightmare? Water. I need water. I slowly got up towards the door and out to the kitchen. When I entered I noticed the keys to my apartment on the counter. I wondered how it got there but it didn't really matter at the moment. I poured myself a glass of water and looked at the clock. 5:27 am. I was asleep for about 7 hours. I looked away from the clock when something caught my eyes. A flower. A single flower on my table. A Red Camellia or a Tsubaki. A flower that symbolizes love, passion, and deep desire. But it also symbolizes a noble death...(Not sure if this is true but you can check yourself lol) There was a single piece of paper under the flower. But all that was written on it was a heart. "Come on... You're way too obvious sh*tty Dazai..." I quickly ran to my cabinet and looked for a jacket, ran to the door and took my hat with me. Quickly putting on my shoes and ran out of the apartment, leaving behind the mackerel's "last" message.

I was running around in the streets of Yokohama looking for a familiar bandaged brunette. "DAZAI!" I yelled. "Where are you?! Please!!" Come on!! I could once more feel my tears falling down my face. I can't help it. What if I was too late? What if he's already?- No. He's alright. It'll all work out. It has to. I just need to find him. I know he did this all the time but, this time, this time I had a feeling that it would finally work.

I kept calling out his name but nothing. I was starting to get weird stares but it didn't matter. All that mattered was that I found out where Dazai was. What if he was inside a building? What if he was in a river? How long has the flower been on my table? How much time has passed? The sun was starting to rise but still no sign of him. I went to his apartment and checked if there was anyone inside. "Dazai?? Are you in there? Oi! Open the f*cking door sh*tty Dazai!" No reply. I looked around and found a key under a pot near the door. Seriously?- Did he seriously hide it there? No. That wasn't the point. I need to concentrate. I quickly opened the door to find nobody home. It all looked completely normal. His home compared to mine was filled with mountains and mountains of books and documents. But I could look around more later. Right now I need to find out where the owner of this apartment was first. I checked the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom but nothing. He wasn't there. This building didn't have any stairs leading to higher levels. Meaning Dazai can't jump here. I went to check the balcony but no one was there. But there. From a distance. I could see someone on the roof of an abandoned school. I squinted my eyes and saw bandages. A boy covered in bandages. Dazai.
