Later that evening Elaena listened as Ulf made many requests, they were all sitting at the dinner table together. She was glad to see the others giving him disapproving looks and sighs.

Jacaerys looked to his right where she sat and gave her a look of annoyance and rage, she placed her hand over his softly "Play nice Jace"

Rhaenyra then stood "A toast, to our new riders. The three of you, are not of noble brith, but you have done a thing never dreamed of before now." As Rhaneyra spoke Ulf chuckled making Jacaerys  eyes widened as he stared into the distance, at this point having no words for the man's I'll manners.

The queen then sat, and they all, excluding Elaena, took a sip of their wine as Jacaerys nodded his head in disapproval.

"I have entrusted you with a power only a few have known. And I charge you to take it up with fealty and respect. Serve me well, and I will make you knights of the realm" Rhaenyra said with a little smile.

"Huh? What do you think of that boys? We'll be knights.. just like that" Ulf said rudely and an awkward silence came about the room.

Addam however, had a little more respect and common sense "we will not fail you, my queen" he said and Hugh added "What must we do my queen?"

Rhaenyra paused, thinking for a moment "I had thought the mere fact of you might stay the enemy's hand... but lord Corlys is right. We must strike while we have the advantage.. and end this war. Learn your beasts and your commands. You will fly in two days time" Rhaenyra said.

Elaena looked up at this news, sharing a shocked glance with her cousin Baela who looked equally as taken aback.

"The strongholds of the usurper Oldtown and Lannisport and their armies all must be subdued. Alone, without allies he will have no choice but to surrender."

"Mother I- you wish..." Elaena began but couldn't even finish her sentence.

"You wish for us to kill innocents?" Baela asked with a shocked expression.

"And so many..?" Hugh added.

"It is hard.. but it cannot be helped" Jacaerys spoke, defending his mother making Elaena swallow. Maybe he was right, but it just felt wrong.

"We must break the will of our enemy.. or more will die in a struggle that stretches on without end" Rhaenyra said.

Addam then spoke "What about vhagar?" He asked curiously.

"She is fearsome.. but she is one dragon. The prince regent cannot defend against all of us." Rhaenyra answered.

"I'll take him on myself, silver wings a goer she is" Ulf spoke confidently.

"You speak very confidently, and excuse my I'll manners but there is no proof of your experience" Eleana said sick of hearing the man.

He simply ignored her "I said more wine!" He yelled at the servants.

Elaena stared at him "A knight will comport himself with grace at the queens table"

"Best make me a knight then" Ulf shot back.

Jacaerys had simply had enough "You forget yourself..friend" He said with a warning look.

Soon after Rhaenyra was told news from Harrenhal, and requested Addam to come with her as they left.

Jacaerys looked up in annoyance, fearing yet again, he felt as though he was where he belonged, with the bastards.

"I hope the news was good" Eleana said before putting down her fork.

Jacaerys only bummed at her, in his own world as he stared at the wall opposite him, making Elaena sigh.

"Get out of your head Jace, it only plagues you" she said softly and he looked at her for a moment before sighing realising she was in fact right, he was only making himself feel worse by thinking about it.

"Your right..again" she smiled at her.

"Of course" she added with a small chuckle.
