THOR BELLOWED AS he ran up to Thanos holding his electrified weapons. Specter shot an energy beam from his hands but were deflected by Thanos using his sword.

Iron Man flew up and brought a blade down at the Titan but the attack was blocked. Captain America threw his shield but Thanos hit it away with the other side of his blade. Thor swung Stormbreaker, but the warlord kept parrying his attacks.

Thanos kicked Thor away and swiped his blade at Cap's shield which heaved him back as well. Specter flew in and kicked the pit of Thanos's knee to bring him down and punch him across the face. Thanos hit Specter with his oversized elbow and threw him aside. He was going to attack the Avenger, but Iron Man landed behind him and got his attention.

"Okay, Thor. Hit me." Tony called out.

The Asgardian yelled as he channeled lightning from the clouds above. He shot the bolt at Tony's back which charged the multiple blasters the suit had activated. Seven separate unibeams shot at Thanos, but he spun his double-edged sword and deflected each of them.

Thor tossed Mjölnir at Thanos, but the Titan got close to Iron Man and grabbed him by the torso. He used Tony's body as a shield to block the hammer, which heaved Tony hundreds of feet back and rendered him unconscious.

Specter recovered and shot multiple energy orbs at Thanos. A couple hit his back, but he quickly turned around and blocked each of them with his sword. Thanos swung his sword down but Specter used his intangibility to evade the attack then fly up and uppercut him.

"Not so powerful without the stones." Y/N said as he hovered over him.

"I don't need them to kill you." Thanos growled.

Y/N dove down and tried to punch him again, but Thanos weaved away and hit Specter with handle of his sword. He stabbed down at Y/N who was on the floor, but the Avenger rolled away and shot a beam at Thanos's head.

It broke off a piece of his helmet and Thanos stumbled back holding his face. He snarled as he charged Y/N again and swung his sword frantically at him.

Thor joined in and summoned lighting from Stormbreaker and shot bolts at Thanos. He grimaced in pain as he was shocked, and Specter went to punch him. The warlord was still strong enough to grab Y/N and hold him towards the current Thor was emitting, which shocked Y/N. The Asgardian stopped what he was doing once he realized that his teammate was getting hurt, and flew at Thanos.

Thanos threw aside the weakened Specter and engaged Thor. He blocked Stormbreaker with his double edged sword, but Thor got leverage and disarmed him by throwing the sword away. Thanos combatted him hand to hand, but ultimately grab Thor by the neck and punched him a few times. He dropped Stormbreaker, and Thanos threw him back near a boulder and kept pummeling him.

A dazed Thor called back his axe, but Thanos quickly grabbed the flying weapon and held the blade near Thor's face. He struggled to push it into his chest, but the god used his strength to keep the axe from impaling him.

Suddenly, Mjölnir levitated off the ground and flew at Thanos. It hit him in the face and kept flying backwards until it reached its summoner.

Captain America.

Steve glared at Thanos as he held both his shield and Mjölnir. Thor smiled as he breathed out, "I knew it!"

Thanos kicked Thor back down and charged at Cap. Steve used both the hammer and shield to fight him, even summoning lighting from the sky to injure the warlord.

Thanos was starting to get beaten, and Steve leaped at him and brought the hammer down. Thanos rolled away and grabbed Steve's torso, throwing him aside.

Thanos angrily swung his sword again at Steve, finally cutting his thigh. Steve groaned and swung Mjölnir again only for Thanos to grab his hand and hit Steve, causing the hammer to drop several yards back.

Now with just his shield, Steve went into defensive mode and blocked each attack from Thanos. His double-edged sword combined with the sheer strength of the Titan proved to be too much for the vibranium shield as it broke apart after each hit.

Steve deflected the final hit with his broken shield but was heaved away and crashed through a pillar. He panted as he laid on the ground, but still got up albeit slowly and in pain.

"In all my years of conquest...violence...slaughter...it was never personal." Thanos began, "But I'll tell you now...what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet...I'm gonna enjoy it...very, very much."

His ship began to beam down thousands upon thousands of his Chitauri army. Hundreds of thousands. It included leviathans, gorilla-like aliens, and his Black Order children.

Steve looked upon the army and took a breath. He simply tightened the strap of his shield around his injured arm and walked closer to them. He wasn't going to give up. Even if it meant taking them on alone...

"Hey, Cap, do you read me?"

Steve stopped. It's as if he heard the voice of a ghost. A voice he never thought he'd hear again.

"Cap, it's Sam. Can you hear me?"

Steve reached for his earpiece. He didn't know what to say. He was speechless. All he can let out were his breaths of exhaustion.

"On your left."

Steve looked back at the glowing circle forming behind him. Three silhouettes began to form, and once they came out of it he realized who they were.

T'Challa. Shuri. Okoye.

The King of Wakanda gave a nod at the Captain as the Falcon soared out of the portal and into the battlefield.

Sam Wilson.

Steve was in awe, and looked around to see hundreds of other portals forming.

Doctor Strange, Drax, and Mantis came out of one. Starlord flew out of it too, and was joined by Spider-Man who retracted his mask and gazed upon his surroundings.

Specter got up from the ground and stumbled closer to Steve. He held his side and was in awe at the sight ahead of him.

The Wakandans began to chant in Xhosa as the Kingsguard, the Border Tribe, the Dora Milaje, and the Jabari marched out of the portal behind them.

Many other portals had Wakandan ships come out of them. The Asgardians and the Masters of the Mystic Arts joined the fight as well.

Bucky Barnes held his rifle and walked beside Groot. Hope Van Dydne flew in as the Wasp and grew back into her normal size.

Thor summoned Stormbreaker and smiled at the sight of the people who returned. Tony sat up after recovering from his encounter with Thanos and was surprised too.

Pepper Potts dropped down in the area in her Rescue armor. Beside her descended a woman wearing her maroon jacket and corset, channeling energy around her hands.

Wanda Maximoff.

"Is that everyone?" Doctor Strange asked Wong.

"What? You wanted more?" Wong replied, flabbergasted.

Nearby, Giant-Man broke out the destroyed remains of the Avengers building and opened up his palm to let out the Hulk, War Machine, and Rocket.

Y/N was elated to see everybody back. He turned to Steve, who let out delighted sigh and smiled back at Y/N. They both turned around to face Thanos, who was infuriated at the sight of more people to deal with.

Everybody lined up beside each other. The heroes were ready to battle the Titan and his army. Specter channeled energy around his fists and was prepared to take flight. Hulk, War Machine, Iron Man, and Thor stood behind him and Captain America.

"Avengers..." Steve called out. He held out his arm as Mjölnir summoned back into his hand. He stared directly at the battlefield ahead.

"...assemble."
