I woke up tired of yesterday's events, man. I needed a break from all these idiots; they were so overwhelming that I just wanted to grab a gun and shoot myself. To be honest, I was arguing with Chishiya most of the night; he seemed to enjoy my reaction to his unnecessary and false insults, but after fighting with him so long, I decided to just walk away, which left him surprised at my sudden change in behavior, but to be honest, who in their right mind wants to be arguing with an idiot all night? I'd rather sleep! It's not like Chishiya had time to fight either since he had to attend a meeting but decided to be late for some strange reason; he said the meeting was unimportant.

I stood up and went to my wardrobe to put on my swimming attire, since I felt like partying all day. I was still a little scared of what could happen to me after what happened the day before. I heard that Hatter stepped in to stop the military, then the executive members had a meeting with Arisu. I wanted to ask Chishiya about the meeting, but I bet he won't say a word about it.

I walked out, not going to lie. I was terrified about what could happen to me—would the military be over me? should probably be ready to fight just in case they try to throw hands again.

I walked over to the pool area and laid down a little before going in the pool. I did see some lower-ranking military guys stare at me, but I tried to ignore it as I lay down relaxing and saw Arisu approaching.

"Hey Arisu, what's up?" I figured out his name yesterday when I was talking to Kuina.

"What do you know about the games?" He asked me, and it took me by surprise since I knew pretty much a lot but probably nothing that he wanted to actually know.

"Well, I know that the face cards are not in any area in Tokyo; maybe it means something, right?" I responded but continued talking. "And I also know that there are players that help in games but also die."

Arisu smiled at me and thanked me for my kind information. He thought about my response and figured that I was right about the last one since in the game of tag, a normal player was part of the game; perhaps there were people who controlled them?

I went to the pool and relaxed when Arius left, but just as I was starting to enjoy myself a lot, Kuina and Chishiya approached me. Oh, please, can a main character have a break once in a while?

"You got a minute Y/N?" Kuina asked me gently. I said yes and saw her dragging me to the rooftop, being followed by Chishiya behind me.

We stopped, and Chisiya started asking me questions.

"Y/N, Arisu asked you some questions, right? "Do you know if they are planning something?"

"No, not really." "I don't talk to them a lot, so I wouldn't know."

"Alright, I'll cut right to the chase." "How do you think you're going to live in a world full of despair?"

"Well, that's an easy question since we already live in one, but I mean, when it seems like despair to some, I really would rather be stuck in this death of the living world than having to deal with my past."

"Interesting," he said. "This thought of yours...sure is interesting."

Kuina giggled a little bit and looked at me, saying, "I can relate a little bit to your thought, but do you really wish to stay here for eternity, risking your life the most? "You don't really have motivation, you know."

"Look, guys, I don't have time to be discussing my issues."

"We think you have potential. That's why we are here right now."

"Whatever bullshit you are planning, Chishiya, count me out of it. I don't want to get involved in your dirty games or get involved in some issue."

"Let me explain my plan first."

People cheered as Hatter got in the car to play a game. I was standing in the crowd, getting dirty looks from Niragi every now and then, and I cheered as well. However, something smelled fishy about this situation.

"Hatter is making sure he keeps control of the militant corps, but it's only a matter of time before they retaliate. And if it happens, this place will be run by a bunch of brainless idiots with guns. Then it's cut and run."

"So the point is?"

"I'm trying to steal all the playing cards."

I got pulled into a room where Chishiya explained the existence of the black envelope,then the plan to steal the playing cards, and Arisus infiltration of the Royal Suite. However, he seemed a little suspicious, plus I knew how much Chishiya liked getting into games. He told Usagi and Kuina to be on the lookout and then assigned me to look at the cameras. I agreed since it wouldn't be so risky and I could beat up anyone who tried to snitch on me.

I was listening to Chishiya talk through the walkie-talkie; however, I didn't trust this one bit. I didn't want to listen to his talking, so I would only talk back to him if I saw anyone approaching the area.

But when Chisiya said the code, 8022, I wrote it down on a piece of paper just in case he decided to backstab Usagi and Arisu. When I was done writing the code down, I heard the door open. I got a hand on them, but then I got knocked out from behind. Unfair Fight!

I got dragged into the room when I heard the new number one congratulate Chishiya for helping catch us; dang this bastard, I knew he had something on hand. I looked to my left and saw our Usagi screaming her lungs out for them to stop hitting Arisu. I swear, I want to kill this man. I made a quick move and got myself away from the grab of the two militaries holding me.

"You traitor, I knew you had something in hand!"

Chishiya looked back at me, but instead of giving me his sadistic smirk, he seemed low-key surprised.

"Oh, uh, what is she doing here?" He said this while looking in my direction.

"We caught her napping in the camera room."

"I think you got it all wrong, guys; she is not part of this situation. She was helping me find these traitors."

"Oh, but isn't this the disgusting woman that escaped from me yesterday?" Aguina looked at me and said, "I'm sorry, Chishiya, but even if she is not part of this betrayal, she did harm someone from the military and steal a gun, so no one can do it. Take her'' He demanded

I got hold of her again, and she dragged me to a room. I tried to defend myself but wasn't lucky. They tied me up in a chair and left me there. Dam it....

Kuina's POV-

"How are things going over there, Kuina?" Chishiya asked me, but instead of letting me continue talking, he asked something else: "Is she still captive?" The question took me by surprise. I mean, yeah, I was worried about Y/N, Usagi, and Arisu, but why would Chishiya be specifically worried about Y/N? I guess he has been kind of flirting with her, but it just confused me to see this new side of him.

"All right, I guess. Aguni is still in his room, and Y/N is still captive. I'm dying of boredom over here." I groaned.

"Well, let's continue with our plan, and then we'll try to get Y/N," he continued.

Y/N's POV-

In a normal situation, I could have gotten out easily, but I was so tightly tied that I could make no movement. I could use the knife in my bra to untie myself, but sadly, my hands were tied together.

Just when I was about to give up, the door opened, revealing my least favorite person in the whole universe—actually, no, my least favorite person is probably Mira.

"After all, they caught you?" He said, "I thought that by now you would have been able to escape."

"Well, if it wasn't for your annoying helpers that took care of tying me up correctly, then yeah, I guess."

"Ha, yeah, they are the best in the military."

"I thought you were the best." I teased him.

"I am." He smiled

"Aren't you supposed to be with Usagi, rn?"

"Yeah, I'm planning to have some fun with her."

"Why, why do you do that, Niragi? You came from what you ran away from. Why?"

"Look, I know Y/N, I already said I'm sorry; I'm sorry I ran away like a coward, but what else could I have done? Even if I stood up for you, those bastards would have done that to you anyway. I mean, now I would have defended you, but then I was weak."

"I love you; I still do, but sadly now I can't protect you." "Maybe if you had stayed away from that idiot, I would have been able to protect you, and maybe we could have been happy."

"You still can protect me; just please get me out of here."

"I'm sorry, Y/N, but as much as I love you, I can't do that; they won't kill you. You might get hit, but not too much, and then you will become one of us. He smiled

"Ok, fine, but can you at least show me how much you love me?"

"What do you mean, Y/N?"

"Take my top off. Have fun with my body. Lick me everywhere."

This took Niragi by surprise, but he couldn't deny my offer. He got close and took my top off just like I asked, and suddenly the knife fell down from between my breasts. When Nigari went down to reach for it, I used my head to knock him down, but just when he got to the perfect height for me to hit him in the head with my head, he groaned in pain as I took my shark slide off and grabbed the knife between my toes. I threw it up with enough force to catch it with my mouth. I moved my head back and dropped my knife from the room. I went to my room and packed all my thighs, then I ran away as fast as I could trying to get off the beach, but when I got out to the back exit, I saw Kuina and Chisiya talking, so I hid behind some bushes to hear their conversation.

"Don't you feel sorry for Y/N and Arisu?"

"For Arisu?"

"Hm. Yeah, I know I feel sorry for both."

"Sometimes we have to do things in order to survive." Chishiya Sighted

"If you're so worried about them, then you should go help them."

Kuina looked down, embarrassed. Even if she wanted to help us both, she lacked the courage to risk her life.

"I thought the plan was to go help Y/N after stealing the cards."

"Yeah, that was the plan, but I think Y/N can get out by herself, so why bother, she's good, you know?" I gaped at what Chishiya said—did he really believe in me?

"No way," he said while looking at the door frame.

"Yes, way," I said, walking out of the bushes.

"Y/N!" Kuina said in excitement.

"Yeah, I knew this place was not safe." I took one of my bracelets off and threw it out.

Kuina looked surprised and got closer to the arch, noticing the lasers that covered the exit. "Seriously?" She whined

We looked at each other and then at our surroundings, seeing that any type of exit was blocked by lasers.

"Y/N! Hurry! The announcements have started!" I heard Takashi call out to me as he ran towards me and pulled me away. We judged while Kuina and Chishiya walked behind us.

"Difficulty 10 of hearts..." I heard the voice say while we tried to get to the main lobby as soon as possible, "Dang, so this is the moment when I can finally complete my deck of cards without counting the face cards, which were known to be non-existent.

We got to the lobby before the machine could say "assemble," so we were able to grab a phone without any people pushing. The people came in running, and noises filled the whole room.

But when I looked to my left, I saw people making a ball around something; I walked closer and saw a girl,dead,stabbed in the heart. People murmured all around us, and then a girl ran toward the body and started sobbing.

"Game, Witch Hunt." "The murderous witch who killed the girl is hiding among you in plain sight."

"The witch role is not limited to women." I giggled at the last part and couldn't help but whisper "period," which made Kuina giggle as well.

"To clear the game, you must find the witch and burn him or her in the fire of judgment." "Time limit, 2 hours"

One more chapter left until we end the first season! (I'm going to make episodes 7 and 8 one long chapter since they're both about the witch hunt game.)

And I will like to inform you that I will make 3 seasons instead of 2 like in the Netflix series. Since you might have noticed there aren't a lot of Chishiya X readers yet, it's because I don't think it's too realistic to just make our cold boy Chishiya love someone immediately, but I do promise that season 2 will include more love <3
