Lumine POV:

The next morning, Lumine awoke to Venti asleep on her shoulder. Smiling, she gently moved him so his head was now on the couch. She headed to her room to get ready for the day ahead, unaware of the events that followed...

_______

Lumine decided to go to Diluc's tavern. After all, she hadn't paid him a visit after Venti broke his arm. She rounded the corner, only to see multiple guards and a few familiar faces crowding the door.

She jogged over to Rosaria, who was a nun at the Church of Favonius. She had her arms crossed and was muttering curses under her breath.

"Rosaria? What happened?" Lumine tapped her on the shoulder, causing Rosaria to jolt out of her trance.

"Ah. Traveler. Hello." Rosaria looked over to her friend, Kaeya, and then at the door to the inside of the tavern. What was strange was that Kaeya...was actually crying. Hot tears streamed down his face and the flow couldn't seem to stop.

"Kaeya..." Lumine gasped. She had never seen Kaeya cry before. Correction: no one had seen Kaeya cry before. He was always very smug with his words.

"Well, I don't wanna speak of it in front of Kaeya, so you can head inside and see for yourself." Rosaria gestured towards the door. Lumine stepped forward, hands shaky on the doorknob. With a nervous feeling and her heart beating fast, she turned the knob and opened the door.

__________

Inside the tavern, she repressed the urge to throw up.

Diluc was lying on the floor, lifeless and empty. His hands were high above his head and his face looked as if he were trying to scream for help in his final moments. Dried up blood was on his neck. And his wounds...

There were so many wounds that the autopsy for Diluc was put as question marks. Lumine read a few paragraphs. It is as followed:

Time of death: 10:00pm

Victim was stabbed in the throat and chest ??? times due to there being a heavy amount of blood pouring out of said victim.

The death was not instant, but the victim bled until dead.

The weapon used is nowhere to be found.

The more Lumine read the autopsy, the more sick to her stomach she felt. Who would do this? Why? It pained her to stay any longer, so she put the report down and dashed outside.

_________

Venti POV:

Venti ran outside, hearing the news that Diluc was officially dead. Of course, he couldn't just proclaim he killed him. It would ruin his status as a bard and get him thrown into jail. Plus, everyone would despise him and his very existence.

He dashed to the tavern to see Lumine sobbing heavily. He wrapped his arms around her, to which she hugged him tight.

"Who would do this to Diluc...?" She heaved. Venti felt his heart break into two. He wasn't upset he killed him, but the fact it pained Lumine to the point of crying. He rubbed her back soothingly.

"There there...it's ok. We'll find the murderer." He whispered. Oh, the irony. Lumine had no idea that she was hugging the murderer for comfort. She looked up at him and placed a platonic kiss on his cheek, making him blush madly. "I hope so.."

_____________~Celestia~_______________

Venti locked himself inside of his room in Celestia. The other archons were out in their respective regions luckily, so Venti could do what he dreamed of doing.

He snuck into the training room and approached Maybax. Venti remembered that he vowed to destroy the giant marshmallow, even if it took him an eternity to do so. He went over to the button on Maybax's side and pressed "on". Its eyes turned green for a split second before returning to jet black. Venti drew the sword he had trained with before.

"How about we end this once and for all, marshmallow BITCH?!" He shouted before charging at it with sword raised above his head.

____________~1 month later~__________

Dodging its attacks for the 26,847th time, fighting Maybax was a breeze. Venti has been training with the thing for a month and maybe even longer, but he knew it definitely was a month after Diluc's death.

He remembered he left his gnosis in a small box he kept on the dresser, so now he felt even stronger than before. Maybax swung its massive arm at Venti, but he took this as an opportunity to run up its arm and raise the sword above his head.

With a shout, he plunged the sword into Maybax's chest. It deflated slowly and with each dying cry it made, Venti felt the joy of it screeching in front of him.

To his surprise, Maybax wasn't just air that was programmed by Focalors. It was filled with something...

Candy.

Venti stared at the candies that were hidden inside. Maybax was basically a piรฑata, he realized. He shrugged it off and peeled the wrapper to consume the sugary delicate.

______________

He went to the forging room, where the archons made their own weapons to use in battle. It was specifically made so if anyone besides the gods came here, they wouldn't know how to use it.

Getting the necessary materials, he went to work.

______

"Ah! Finally! My brand new weapon is born into the world!!" Venti cried out in happiness. The handle of his weapon was beautifully golden with a smooth touch. Towards the top of the handle, blue wings adorned it while it glowed softly. A sharp, curved blade shined a cool blue attire. What did he make?

A scythe.

(The image is just to show what the scythe looks like. I do not know who drew this unfortunately. Whoever did is a very talented person <33)

The blade was enchanted so anyone who wasn't Venti touched it, they would get cut no matter how softly they did it. So it could cut through paper without a struggle. Or better yet...it could cut through skin without a struggle.

Venti twirled the scythe in a trance-like way, mesmerized by its beauty. He giggled to himself. He wanted to kill so badly with it, but who should he kill?

Ah.

Yes.

Him.

________

Standing outside the Church of Favonius was Albert. Venti watched him from a few houses away in disgust. Albert would wait all night just to see Barbara and it sickened Venti to his very core. Barbara was a minor while Albert was a full grown adult. Disgusting.

Albert hung his head in sadness as he headed home in Venti's direction. Venti could barely contain his happiness and felt as if he could burst, but now wasn't the right time.

As Albert rounded the corner, Venti made his first move. He jumped on top of him and gagged his mouth so he wouldn't scream. Luckily Albert was very weak so he couldn't push Venti off of him.

"My oh my~ if it isn't the pedophile of Mondstadt. Having a crush on a minor like this...you really should be ashamed of yourself."

Albert made small noises of confusion; to this, Venti slapped him hard. "Shut up before I cut you up into little pieces and feed you to people. After all, I have this~"

Venti took out his scythe and hovered the blade above Albert's neck. He could hear his soon-to-be victim breathe faster and harder, making Venti's sadism and bloodlust rise within him.

"Ehehehehe~...you wouldn't mind if I were to chop your head off, right? It would be so pleasurable if your blood just splurted out of you like a fountain. Ehhhhehehehehe~!"

Imagining the whole scenario made Venti even crazier. A wide smile spread across his face and his breathing increased.

"I-I can't hold it in anymore! I must see your blood pour out of you! I just- can't-"

And in one quick motion, Venti slit Albert's neck open and blood sprayed out. Albert fell forward while Venti flipped off of him and landed on his feet. He smiled to himself before looking out of the corner of his eye that someone was watching him.

"Ah, another victim! Heh, two kills in one night? That makes it even better!"

The suspicious person was halted in place and Venti approached them, smiling broadly. He looked up and smirked, his mouth soon forming the words:

"Why, hello there...

Sister Rosaria."

___________________

Rosaria found herself chained to the tree at Windrise, blood dripping down her nose slowly. Venti giggled creepily, eager to give her the punishment she deserved.

"Well well well. Sister Rosaria of the Church of Favonius. You were such a kind soul. However, you are a witness. And I cannot allow you to tell everyone what you had seen."

"Ok. Look. I won't tell anyone what I saw. I promise. Just please let me go." Rosaria pleaded, but the God wouldn't buy it. He shook his head and laughed.

"Oh you're such a card. You think it's that easy, don't you?" Venti asked, throwing his hands up in the air.

"I figured it would be better if I got a little bit messy. If you catch my drift." He hinted and giggled once more. Rosaria raised her eyebrow in confusion at first, but her confusion turned into fear as she heard Venti crack his knuckles in preparation.

"Ah, so you do know what you're in for! Aw, man. You beat me to it! Kehehehe..."

And with a gasp from Rosaria, Venti swung his fist at her face and she was out like a light.
