"Y/n, please join me. Hate to break it to you, but you cannot survive in this world with just one friend."
I looked at my friend, Emma. Emma had messy ginger hair cut just around her ears. She had green eyes that somehow always twinkled, even when she was sad.
"I've done it for several years, Emma." A sigh fled from my lips as I shut the book I had been previously reading, resting it on my lap.
Sure, that may seem sad, but it's just how it was. And personally, I prefer to be alone. It's so peaceful just being by myself, nothing can disturb me.
"Exactly! And that's honestly depressing." The ginger groaned and fell back onto my neatly made bed.
"If these two boys truly are your "best-friend's" as you say, why (haven't I met them before?" I furrowed my eyebrows slightly, resting on my elbows.
"Well they go to a different school, and I've tried to introduce you SO many times! But you don't budge! Also, I went to the same middle school and elementary school as them, and now that we're transferring over to Grace Field high don't you think this is our opportunity to make new friends? This could be OUR year Y/n!" She grabbed my hands and had a stern look plastered on her face. Emma looked kind of funny, it's rare to see her this serious, even though she's just being dramatic.
"Emma," I sighed once again, "I just don't know. What if they don't like me? You know I struggle to make conversation."
That's true, I never know what to say.
"I know, I know, but they're so sweet! And one of them is honestly similar to you. He's quiet, smart, enjoys reading, and is lowkey annoying!" She giggled.
"You bitch." I gasped and threw a pillow at her.
"Kidding, kidding! I swear." The ginger ducked and put her hands up as if surrendering.
We both laughed.
"Y/n, please. I'm BEGGING you." The ginger put on a pout and squeezed my hands tighter.
After a few seconds of thinking, I finally gave in. "Okay, fine." I groaned. "I guess I'll meet them, but only because I want to make you happy. Not because I want to make friends. Mkay?"
The girl with an antenna squealed. "Oh, Y/n you truly are an amazing friend!" She wrapped her arms around me.
"Yeah, yeah. Now let go before my lungs give out." I rolled my eyes, patting her on the back with a chuckle.
"Right, sorry!" The ginger grinned, and I returned the smile. "I'd better get going now, it's late. Oh! Does 2 pm tomorrow work for you? Norman, Ray, and I already have plans then, soo.."
"Yeah, that should work. Where'll we be meeting?" I questioned.
"My house! We're going to order pizza and stuff." She reached for her bag.
"Alright, I'll be there." I lightly smiled.
"Awesome! Can't wait!" Emma grabbed her blue backpack and swung it over her shoulder. "See you!" She closed the door behind her.
An exhale left my lips with a sigh as I stared at the ceiling. "Norman and Ray, huh? I can't see anything coming out of this, might as well go to prove to Emma they'll dislike me." I muttered quietly as I drifted off into a slumber
A part of me wishes that I never agreed to meeting them, as he ruined me yet made my life better. Ray.
I love you, Ray, but I'm not sure if I can forgive you for everything you've done.
