{Billy's POV}

I sit reading a book while Stu continuously flicks through the TV channels, the constant static and change in topics starting to get on my nerves. I'm about to tell him to turn it off when I hear a news reporter mention a murder for a split second before the channel changes again. "Stu turn back to that channel." I say quickly, placing my book down. "It's just boring news reports," he replies boredly. "Change it back now." I say sternly, hoping that my paranoia suspicions would be proved wrong. Unfortunately that's not the case. Me and Stu listen intently to the report of a murder at the screening of that appalling movie created as a mockery of our work, inspired by Gale Weathers. The nature of the murder also appears to be a shabby replica of ours but it causes the back of my neck to crawl with uncertainty. "It's probably nothing, right? A coincidence, some kid pissed off at another," Stu doesn't sound so sure and I know he's jumping to the same conclusion that I am. "We'll keep an eye on it, check news reports, visit the town if we have to. It could be nothing." I try to reassure Stu, knowing if he panics too much it'll make things worse. "Don't mention this to (Y/N) though, at least until we can be sure. Her safety is the priority," I state firmly.  Stu nods in agreement. I then go and unplug the back of the TV, knowing I'll have to come up with some story of why we can't watch it for now. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and whisper to Stu, "not a word, remember?" I warn.

{Y/N's POV}

I slowly make my way down the stairs rubbing my eyes sleepily, having just woken up. I spot my boyfriends in the living room and notice them whispering to each other. I push the door wider entering, "good morning, everything ok?" Billy responds quickly, "everything's fine doll, did you sleep well?" I nod and join Stu on the couch, curling into his side. "I thought I heard the TV on?" Stu looks like he's about to speak but Billy cuts in again, "it was but the cable just fried, probably Stu's fault for switching too many channels too fast." he lets out a chuckle but there's a hint of unease, I try to ignore it. "Yeah, sorry sweetheart, no TV for a bit, but we can find some other fun things to do," Stu winks at me and I hide my face in his shoulder blushing.

After a few minutes of regaining my composure, I sit up nudging Stu in the side to stop his quiet laughter, it doesn't work. I look over at Billy to jokingly complain when I notice his foot tapping against the floor and his brows are knitted together. "Billy? Are you sure you're ok, you look tense." He doesn't respond, seemingly lost in thought so I move off the sofa and kneel in front of him, clicking to get his attention. "Earth to Loomis." he blinks a few times locking eyes with me and finally his body relaxes, smiling a little, "Sorry Doll, I'm just a little out of it today, I promise it's nothing." he holds one hand against my cheek, caressing it gently with his thumb. I relax a little too and lean into his hand, however I can't shake the feeling that despite what Billy says, he is hiding something. I've been living with him for 9 months now, so I know his fake smile when I see it.
