*RING RING RING* the high pitched screech of an alarm clock echoed throughout the master bedroom.
"HUH-?", a h/c male jumped at the sudden ringing and immediately sat up in his bed. his long hair was a mess, covering his eyes and sticking up in all directions. he ran his hands through his hair, aggressively huffing as he pouted about being woken up by his evil alarm clock. 'why was it even on? it's not like i have anything-'
he froze, realizing his error. 'oh... school.' he continued his pouting as he slowly dragged himself out of bed.
sure, he was excited to finally experience a normal high school, but that didn't mean he enjoyed waking up at 5:30 in the morning to get ready for it.
yawning, a drowsy y/n rubbed his eyes and approached the bathroom. he quickly checked himself out in the mirror, eyes widening at the state of his hair, "holy shit, is this really what i look like right now?"
y/n knew he was gorgeous, in fact he was quite proud of it, not that he was one to brag, but hair like this? no one could pull that off.
sighing, he made his way to the sink to begin untangling the jungle he called his hair. after spending at least 15 minutes with that, he moved on to the essentials.
he started with his makeup. sure, y/n knew his mask would cover the lower half of his face, but there was no harm in making himself feel good-looking, right?
he finished with a natural look, his makeup almost unnoticeable. he made sure that he achieved the most neutral look possible in order to avoid too much attention; although, he still had some fun with his eyeliner. but don't worry, he didn't go overboard; it suited him perfectly.
despite the way he acts, y/n is actually quite intelligent and is great at reading situations. in fact, one could say he was the smartest and most charismatic member of his group. of course, he didn't agree with those statements, but he couldn't deny the fact that he was without a doubt a fan favorite.
there was just something about him.
he quickly tied his hair back into a messy, half-up half-down ponytail that wonderfully displayed his stunning features, that he would soon, unfortunately, have to cover up with a mask.
wearing a mask was useful when it came to concealing his identity, but he still had distinct features, like his eyes and nose, that made him identifiable. in other words, if he ran into anyone who knew him or got too close to fans... he was screwed.
but he decided to not think about that for now, and focused on making it through his first day.
he threw on the school uniform, fixed his accessories, and checked out the final look in the mirror. he looked good. like really good.
the uniform was a bit baggy on him, but still showed off his muscular figure. as for his accessories, he was wearing a simple silver chain necklace, two small rings on each hand, and some extra hair-ties on his wrist.
in y/n's eyes, he thought he looked pretty normal. but to anyone else, y/n looked as though he had just walked out of a photoshoot.
the 17 year old grabbed his plain, black backpack, slinging it over his shoulder as he walked to the door to put on his shoes, simple white tennis shoes. finally, he put on his white mask and was ready to go.
y/n took a deep, shaky breath before opening the door. he turned back to the room one last time, dramatically saying his goodbye, "so long, apartment... i'll see you soon..." y/n, being the dramatic person he is, began to shed fake tears as he slowly closed the door and creeped away.
he laughed as his antics as he entered the elevator and headed down to the lobby.
in his suddenly awake and cheerful mood, he made sure to greet everyone in the lobby with a bright smile and wave, making several people in the vicinity blush at the handsome stranger's greeting.
exiting the building, he facepalmed, 'dammit, i was supposed to avoid attention, not talk to everyone around me!' he sighed, 'this is going to be difficult...'

AND DIFFICULT IT WAS.
the first thing y/n noticed as he approached the school's gate were all of the stares directed at him. 'i don't get it, why is everyone looking at me? i honestly don't stick out much, so what's the big deal?'
unbeknownst to the young performer, he stood out like a sore thumb. not only did he look like a supermodel while wearing only the school uniform, he had the most gorgeous eyes the students' had ever seen, and to top that off, he clearly wasn't from here.
despite its purpose of hiding his identity and drawing attention away from him, the mask only added to the mysterious aura he was emitting. this caused a crowd of students to form around him, hoping to figure out who this gorgeous stranger was and why he was at karasuno of all places.
as more and more people gathered near him, y/n grew uncomfortable. he may have been a charismatic goofball, but that usually went we felt comfortable or was around his friends and people he liked. he could deal with crowds on stage and at fan signings because he was prepared for it, but when it comes to his daily life where he's not in his "idol mode", as he calls it, he liked his privacy and space...
and what he was getting right now, was the opposite.
only then did it hit him that transferring into school at the end of the term as a second year might not have been the way to go if he wanted privacy...'whoops'.
"excuse me? can you move, please?" the e/c eyed teen asked the mob of students.
at the sound of his voice, they parted like the red sea.
'well that was easy...'
it was silent as he made his way through the front gate and into the hall. wandering around to try and shake off the students that had been creepily trailing him, he eventually found himself in some sort of sports field. "alright, first stop is the front office... wait- where is that again?", he spoke aloud to himself in his native tongue, spinning around in a panic realizing that he may be late on his first day.
'what do i do? what do i do? what do i do? what do i-' his rushed thoughts were cut of as he felt a hand on his shoulder. he lurched forward, surprised by the sudden contact, turning around to face this new person.
it was a small girl.
she was shaking and shivering at the sight of the intimidatingly good-looking second year, "uh- ummm, hi!" she squeaked out. 'ahhh! i'm talking to the most gorgeous guy i've ever seen!!'
"um, hello?" y/n waved and smiled awkwardly, not that she could see.
"i'm- i'm yachi hitoka!" she unintentionally yelled. "oh god, i'm so sorry! i didn't mean to yell, it's just that your scary- WAIT NO! i mean you're beautiful! did i just say that out loud? oh my goodness i'm such an idiot! can we just forget that ever happened and start over? alright! so hi, i'm yachi-"
her incomprehensive rambling was cut off by a deep chuckle. it was like music to her ears, causing her to immediately shut her mouth.
"i understood none of that- pfffttttt!" his laughter grew more aggressive, eyes sewn shut as he laughed so hard he began to let out weird squeaking noises.
he didn't know what was so funny, maybe he just found her rambling too adorable and he'd completely lost it...
he was sure that he hadn't laughed this hard in a long time. he liked it.
yachi had a face that was so red it could even rival a tomato, "he- hey! don't laugh! it's not funny, it's embarrassing..." her voice turned into a whisper as she spoke those last two words. 'i can't believe this is happening. can someone just end me right here?' yachi cried internally.
"i'm sorry, it was just adorable." he ran one hand through his hair as he used the other to gently pat the tiny first year's head, "it's nice to meet you yachi, my name is..." his face became blank, eyes dulled, "uhhh..."
'shit, i didn't think that far ahead...'
at a loss, y/n decided to come up with the most random name he could think of, "i'm jeong min-jun. yeah, haha... that's right..." he licked his lips as he looked off to the side, an obvious tell once you got to know him well enough.
she ignored the heat she felt in her cheeks as his hand made contact with her head and looked up at him skeptically, "are you sure? you sound like you don't know you own name..."
"yeah! definitely sure! i just haven't introduced myself in a long time...? yeah, yeah, that's it." taking a step away from yachi, he checked the time, "shit, class starts soon and i still need to visit the office." he cursed under his breath.
yachi heard this and awkwardly spoke up, shyly rubbing her arm, "oh yeah, that's sort of why i came up to you in the first place, you sort of seem lost.... do you want me to take you to the office?" she spoke without stuttering, slowly getting more comfortable around the easygoing male.
it was weird. yachi wasn't one to get comfortable around someone so quickly...
there was just something about him.
she shook her head clear of her thoughts as she listened to his response, "thank you, i'd really appreciate it. you're a lifesaver, yachi."
"anytime!" she smiled. she began to lead her newfound companion to the front office.
"i hope more people here are like her, she's really nice..." he muttered, thinking aloud. he was happy that he found such a nice friend. she was his first one here too!
she glanced back at him, "what was that?"
he waved her off, a content smile on his face,
"oh, nothing."
