3rd Person POV, following Luz

Luz woke up with a stretch. She looked beside her to see Amity, still sleeping. Luz smiled and gently rocked her girlfriend. "Amity... It's time to wake up..."

Amity's eyes opened groggily, and she yawned. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes and looked up at Luz. Amity smiled. "Good morning, Luz." she said, voice slightly deeper then normal.

"Morning, Ams!" Luz said happily, hugging Amity. "Let's go downstairs for breakfast."

Luz and Amity walked downstairs after getting dressed, only to see Eda blocking the way to the living room.

"Eda? What happened in the living room? More importantly, why is it blocked off???"

"Oh, Luz. Well, Hooty and Hunter are still asleep so-"

"Wait, Hunter's in there?!" Amity asked, trying to look into the living room.

"Yep. From my experience, and because I'm just guessing in general, I think they had a sleepover." Eda explained, indicating to a bit of popcorn that was on the floor.

Luz's eyes sparkled, and she squealed quietly in excitement. "Yes, yes, yes, yes! Oh, he's gonna love it here!!!"

"Luz, calm down," Amity said, putting her hands on her girlfriend's shoulders.

"Right! Sorry." Luz apologized, scratching her neck awkwardly.

"What's going on..?" a groggy voice said, and the trio turned to see the former Golden Guard, Hunter, still in uniform, standing in front of them.

"Sorry if we woke you up, kid, but we were just about to have breakfast." Eda explained, moving aside to let Amity and Luz enter the living room.

When they entered, they saw Hooty who had apparently packed everything away already.

Luz guided Hunter to the kitchen, and you could practically feel the awkwardness radiating off of him.

Luz took him to the kitchen and beckoned for him to sit down. Hunter's face turned to slight confusion when he saw that there were 4 chairs on one side and a single chair on the other.

"Hunter, we all have some questions to ask you if that's okay." Luz said apologetically, grabbing a bowl of griffin eggs.

Once everyone was sitting down with their meals, they started eating. Hunter ate, too, but the air felt heavy and awkward.

"So," Luz said eventually. "Hunter, do you know anything about the Day of Unity?"

Hunter swallowed his food and looked up. He shivered when he noticed that all eyes were on him.

"Well, all I really know is that Belos wants to combine the Human and Demon realms." Hunter answered, earning looks of surprise and disbelief from the other residents.

"Anything else?" Amity asked. "At least, anything important?'

"The only other thing Belos mentioned is that the Titan has 'big plans' for me." Hunter added, picking up his spoon for another bite. "Whatever that means..."

As Hunter turned back to his food, the other Owl House members looked at eachother.

What on earth is the Emperor planning..?
