3rd Person POV
Hunter's sobs slowly turned into quiet snores. Eda looked down at him, seeing that he had fallen asleep. "Aw... He looks so peaceful when he's sleeping..." she said to herself, resting him down on the bed.
She walked away and exited the room, only to be met with expectant faces belonging to Luz and Amity.
"So, what happened?" Luz asked, glancing at the door.
"Did he attack, or did he relax?" Amity asked, her eyes dead set on Eda.
"Well, I managed to get close to him and make him lower the knife-"
"Wait, a KNIFE?!"
"Yes, Luz, a knife. Now, let Eda talk!"
"Sorry Amity-"
"Anyways, once he lowered it, I managed to convince him that we wouldn't hurt him. Eventually, I pulled him into a hug and he burst into tears. I hugged him until he fell asleep."
When Eda finished, she looked at them. They blinked, looking dumbfounded.
"He cried?!"
"HE FELL ASLEEP IN YOUR ARMS?!"
Amity looked like a traumatized Selkidomus pup while Luz was jumping up and down, squealing. "That must have been so CUTEEEE!"
"I will admit that he looks a lot more peaceful when he's asleep." Eda said, winking at Luz.
"It makes sense. I mean, the Golden Guard- I mean, Hunter's dreams were probably the only thing Belos couldn't control." Amity said, very matter-of-factly.
"I suppose... But we better head off to bed. Mama needs her rest!"
"Oh, yeah! Goodnight Eda! Amity, you can sleep in my room with me!"
"Ok, Luz. Night Eda."
"Goodnight, lovergirls!"
Luz and Amity blushed as they walked away, embarrassed slightly. Eda sighed with content and turned to Hunter's room. "Oh, kid..." she said, a sad gleam in her eyes. "It's gonna take us a while to get all of Belos' trauma out of you, but I'm going to help you! I promise..."
Hunter POV
I gasped, opening my eyes and shooting upwards. "Where-?" I was cut off my being bowled over by a strong force. I groaned and looked up to see Belos. I gasped in alarm, standing up quickly.
"You never returned from your mission..." he said, disapproval filling his gaze. "U-Uncle, I can explain-" he was cut of by his uncle's stone cold glare.

Belos' body turned into his beastly form, and lunged towards me. I braced for impact...
I woke up in a cold sweat, gasping for air. I looked around, trying to assure my surroundings. I sighed in relief when I saw the still unfamiliar surroundings of my room in the Owl House.
I stood up shakily and opened the door. I didn't want to be a burden tomorrow by asking for directions all the time, so I decided to just explore now.
It was dark, and my eyes couldn't adjust very well, but eventually I found my way to the lounge room. I saw a large mess covering most of the floor, mainly containing teddies and chip packets.
I sighed and sat on the couch, trying to collect my thoughts. Uncle was never in my dreams before, I thought, my hands still shaking. Maybe now since I've run away, I'm more afraid of him then ever before...
"HOOT HOOT! A NEW FRIEND!"
I was nearly knocked off my chair when a bird-like creature suddenly launched itself into my face. "OH! I CAN TELL YOU SO MANY STORIES, AND-"
"W-What are you?!" I whisper-yelled, unwilling to wake the others.
"I'm a house demon, and my name is Hooty!" the bird, Hooty, said happily. "What's your name?"
"My name is Hunter..." I mumbled. "But you'll know me as the Golden Guard, probably."
"You're one of Lulu's Coven buddies!" Hooty said, wriggling in happiness.
"Lulu..?"
"Oh, right, Lilith, Eda's sister." Hooty explained. "We're best of friends!"
I looked at him in surprise. "Lilith was here?"
"Yep!" he said, smiling. "Anyways, why are you out of bed so late?"
"Oh, uh, I had a nightmare about Belos..."
Hooty gasped, moving closer to me. "Lulu never had nightmares, so you must be really scared of him!"
"I suppose... He took care of me for years, and I ran away from him..." I sighed. "I'm a terrible nephew..."
"NEPHEW?!"
I fell out the couch with a thud, startled by Hooty's outburst. "Y-Yeah... Belos is my uncle..."
Hooty gasped. "That's... GREAT!" he cried out, running in circles around me. "You can give Eda and Luz so much information! Now they can take him down easily-"
"Woah, woah, woah, woah, wait!" I said, making the birdworm stop in stop in his tracks. "I-I'm not ready to talk about that stuff yet! W-Will they throw me out if I don't tell them?"
Hooty shook his head. "Of course not! Luz is too nice, anyways."
As weird as it sounds, I'm starting to enjoy this birdworm's company. I smiled at him slightly.
"Since you probably won't go back to sleep for a bit, why don't we talk and eat snacks-" Hooty cut himself off with a gasp. "WE CAN HAVE A SLEEPOVER!"
I blinked at him, then smiled. "A sleepover would be cool! I've never had one before."
Hooty gasped. "You poor thing! We better get it ready right away, then!"
I watched Hooty rush off, smiling. I relaxed for what was seemingly the first time in ages.
It's nice here... I never wanna leave.
3rd Person POV, Timeskip
Eda yawned, walking downstairs. Cold morning air hit her almost instantly, making her shiver. She looked up to see that Hooty's body was in the house, leaving the front door wide open.
"Hooty! What have we said about-"
She stopped and blinked in surprise. There, on the floor, was Hooty and the former Golden Guard, Hunter, asleep on a very relaxed, asleep Hooty. The crystal ball was on, and there was a bowl of hopcorn next to them.
Eda smiled, resting her back against the doorway. "I guess Hooty gets along well with former Emperor's Coven members..." she laughed. I'll let them sleep, she thought, walking away. I think that Hooty just might help bring Hunter out of his shell...
