( 039. 'red carpet' )
ARIELLA HAD BARELY gotten back into the rhythm of her normal life when walker's big event came up. it was an exclusive red carpet gala for percy jackson, and walker had invited ariella has his plus one, of course.
it was the kind of night that was going to be full of excitment, plus ariella loved any excuse to get fully glammed up. the anticipation of the night was loud. and ariella was so proud of walker for all the nominations percy jackson got.
the boy looked like he belonged on the red carpet. in his black tuxedo, fitted perfectly to his height, and with his hair styled just enough to look messy yet composed. the flashes of cameras and the buzz of the crowd did nothing to faze himโhe was confident, composed, and completely in his element. but when his eyes found ariella in the crowd, standing there in a sparkling emerald green gown, everything else seemed to fade into the background. she was the one he saw.
ariella smiled at him as he made his way over to where she was waiting, the excitement she felt evident in the way her eyes lit up when they locked.
"you look amazing," he said, his voice a little softer than usual. he reached out to adjust a strand of her curly hair that had fallen out of place.
though walker was the main attraction, ariella had her own fair share of the spotlight. as an influencer, she had walked the red carpet before, and tonight was no exception. she stood next to walker, posing for photos, her smile bright and genuine. she looked stunning in a shimmering emerald gown, the dress hugging her figure perfectly as her hair flowed in tight curls down her back. her makeup was soft but glamorous, a look that captured her natural beauty. H
photographers shouted her name, trying to catch her attention, and she happily obliged, posing and flashing a smile at everyone. her heart raced a littleโit was always thrilling to be in the center of it all, especially when she was so used to being behind the camera.
"look this way, ariella!" one of the photographers called.
"over here!" another yelled.
ariella loved her life as an influencer, but tonight, she decided she wasnt there for herself. she was there for her friends, and her boyfriend. she wanted to support leah and aryan, who were both at the event as well. the thought made her smile even wider. she was here for them and that made the whole night even more special.
when the photographer's clicks slowed down, one of the reporters approached with a microphone in hand.
"ariella madison, we've seen you on the red carpet before, but tonight you're here to support your friends, right?" the reporter asked with a smile. "can you tell us a little bit about why you're here tonight?"
ariella's smile brightened as she thought of her friends. i'm here to support my friends, leah and aryan," she said. "they've been such an important part of my life, and im just so proud of them."
the reporter nodded, her eyes flickering to ariella's side. "and, of course, we can't forget your boyfriend, walker scobell," she said with a raised brow. "how does it feel to be here with him tonight?"
ariella's heart skipped a beat, but she kept her smile. her hand rested lightly on her hip, her posture casual but elegant. "yes, that's my boyfriend, walker," she said, the words coming naturally. she turned toward him, catching his eye and smiling fondly before looking back at the reporter. "and I'm so proud of everything he's doing."
ariella waved toward Walker, who was talking to some guests, and the moment captured on camera was sweetโariella beaming with pride, and walker, noticing her wave, sending her a bright smile in return.
the reporter, seeing her reaction, smiled knowingly. "so, are we going to see you two walking the red carpet together more often now?"
ariella chuckled, her cheeks flushing slightly. "maybe. whenever walker needs me ill be there to support him, but uhh we will see where it goes"
with one final wave to the photographers and a few more clicks of the camera, ariella decided it was time to move on. she gave the reporter a polite nod and walked away, her heart feeling full. she was happy to have this moment to share, but nothing could compare to actually being with walker, seeing him so happy in his passions.
she found him near the entrance, talking to a few other guests. the moment their eyes met, everything else faded into the background. he excused himself from the conversation and walked toward her, his face lighting up.
"you were amazing out there," walker said, wrapping his arm around her waist as she came up to him.
ariella smiled up at him, brushing her hand against his chest playfully. "i'm just here to support you," she teased. "tonight's about you. you areee the star after all, percy jackson, son of poseidon ." she said in the same voice as the trailer.
walker smirked, looking down at her fondly. "i'm glad you're here with me."
she looked up at him, her heart swelling with pride. "i'll always be here for you, walker." he kissed the top of her head, his arm tightening around her waist as they walked off together, just the two of them, leaving the flashing lights and the crowd behind.
