The two girls sat in the living room as her and Noel were in the bathroom together. The childhood friend doing the boy's making up and deciding to have a spa night with him. An excuse for the two of them to be out of Olivia and Lia's way.

"I've really missed you." Liv said, sitting on the opposite side of the couch trying to maintain boundaries she didn't know were nonexistent. "Nothings been the same without and i'm so sorry for my behavior."

"I know you are." Lia said, her thumb caressing Liv's hand as a way to comfort her and that she still cared deeply for the girl, "I'm just happy you reached out finally."

Liv nodded, though she didn't agree with how Lia handled her. She expected the worst, to be yelled at and to be told that the blonde had already moved on.

But to no surprise, Lia stuck with her.

"I haven't been able to sleep in months since I didn't have you beside me. My eating habits got worse, I haven't even been able to write song."

"Did you eat today?" Lia asked, ignoring all the other parts of her mumbles as her health was more important. When Liv didn't answer Lia got up, grabbing her keys and wallet and helped the brunette up, "Let's go get some food then?"

Since living with Persey, Lia had became accustomed to less proceeded foods as well as local businesses. So there was no surprise when the girls had trailed into a tiny bakery, grabbing a few iced coffees regardless of how late it was as well as a couple of muffins.

They had slipped into a booth, the two across from each other as they caught up, avoiding the reason why they had broken up in the first place.

"Not much has been happening for me." Lia laughed as her leg shook under the table, sipping her sickening sweet coffee as she thought of what she had been up to for the past few months, "I put out a couple songs, moved out, adopted a cat, am in the process of my second album and am designing what I would like my concert to look like." The blonde explained as she looked over to the brunette expectedly, curious to what Liv's life was like without her in it.

The brunette only shrugged, her life boring at the moment other than a few festivals a few events to attend, "Oh just the usual." Lia laughing at her comment as she was so humble about her success, giving her a nod as she picked at her blueberry muffin.

"Sounds exciting."

"Oh trust me, it's not."

The next few weeks were spent with Liv and Lia never leaving each other's side, the two have talked about the situation over and over against, setting new boundaries and promising to not give up on one another. They never got back together, the two still in the break phase but working their best to get things back to normal.

"We need three eggs! Stat!" Olivia joked, giggling as she watching Lia slid across the kitchen floor on her way to the refrigerator, searching endlessly for the eggs until she had stumbled across the carton.

The two spent their time baking a cake, things ultimately failing for the worst. They had been covered head to two in cake mix and other ingredients, placing the cake into the oven as they giggled to themselves as they ignored their mess and got out their icing supplies.

The girls decided to create a simple frog design, there was no way this could go wrong. Lia had done it before with her old friends and it seemed to go well, so once their cake had cooled down they went into the decorating a bit too cocky.

"Oh fuck!" Lia screeched, stepping back as she looked at her poor excuse of a frog, the icing dripping down the creature as its smoke was lopsided and pathetic, a giggle slipping from her mouth until she looked over at Liv's, hers even worse than the blonde,

The two crashed into each other laughing, holding each other as their bodies shook from their laughter, Liv's warm body pressed against Lia as the feeling of love slowly crept in once more.

In that moment nothing seemed to bother either of them, everything finally okay after the past two years of struggling to keep this relationship alive.

Lia carried on to the picnic blanket, holding back her giggles at she filled the outline in with white and red. Olivia worked on a pound, throwing food coloring on top of the cake as she struggled to mix the blue in.

Once done they admired their terrible attempt, their antics stopping as Persephone and Noel entered the room, the two stifling their laughter before looking the girls in their eyes.

"Are those aliens on a picnic?" Noel questioned as Persephone began cleaning up their mess with a wet towel and trash bin.

Olivia shook her head, "They're frogs!"

His eyebrow arched as he got closer to the baked goods, looking back up at the girls once more, "Then why does one have three eyes?"

Liv and Lia gave each other a glance, "Long story."
