With the Zealot defeated and Stephen's chest wound now stitched up. He needed to go and see Lenore, he wanted to see how she was after the fight, whether she was well or not. His mind raced with negative thoughts about Lenore's well-being.
After all, he was certain she lost a lot of blood after Kaecilius hurt her.
With help from Christine, they both made their way to the nurse's station where he spotted the nurse that took care of Lenore. He asked about her and the nurse immediately told him where her room was.
"So." Christine started, "Who is this, Lenore?"
"She's my teacher?" He said it more like a question,
"Let me guess, she's a sorcerer too?"
"She is."
"Jesus." Christine rolled her eyes, despite everything that had occurred, she still didn't believe about everything Stephen was telling her. When they arrived at the room with the number that the nurse had given the both of them, Stephen knocked on the door a couple of time before waited a few seconds before knocking again. When there was no response, Stephen panicked and basically slammed the door open and forced himself inside.
His heart sank when all he saw was an unmade bed with blood stains.
He tore himself away from Christine and limped his way towards her bed, looking anything that would tell him of her whereabouts. He panicked until he saw a piece of paper peeking out from under the pillow. He picked up quickly and read it.
Went back to the Sanctum.

A smile made its way onto Stephen's lips while he turned around and faced Christine.
"I'm late for a cult meeting." He told her as he walked towards the door. Christine quickly slid herself under his arm and accompanied him.
"This is insane." Christine stated.
"Yeah."
"Where are you going?"
Stephen hummed, finding the right words to explain it to Christine.
"Can you tell me the truth?" Christine pressed.
"Well, a powerful sorcerer who gave himself over to an ancient entity... can bend the very laws of physics, tried very hard to kill me." Stephen explained, but he could tell that she was just confused but still he continued, "But I left him chained up in Greenwich Village... and the quickest way back there is through a dimensional gateway... that I opened up in the mop closet."
Just as he finished, he pointed to the doors as he moved away from Christine. But despite his explanation, Christine wasn't convinced.
Stephen then opened the doors and showed the portal he had left open, Christine slowly walked inside, taken aback by the spell in front of her. She stared at it until Stephen jumped in and onto the other side of it.
"Really do have to go." He told her before turning around with the portal closing behind him. He walked until he spotted the Zealot's body lying on the floor, the Cloak of Levitation just floating in the air above his head.
Stephen knelt down in one knee and placed two of his fingers over his neck to find a pulse.
He felt nothing. He killed him.
Stephen clenched his jaw as the realization finally dawned on him that he, a Doctor, killed him. This left him perturbed greatly.
Stephen then reached for the cloak behind him, throwing it around his shoulders before it attached itself to him on its own. He made his way to the next floor, where he left Kaecilius tied up in the contraption he threw at him.
He walked up the stairs and a shadow looked over him. Looking up, a smile instantly grew on his face when he realized who it was.
"Lenore."
The brunette turned around, a soft gasp escaped her lips at the sudden mention of her name.
"Stephen! Oh I'm soβ" she was cut off when Stephen closed the distance between them and wrapped his arms around her small frame. She felt his chest rise and fall motion as he let out a relieved sigh. Lenore smiled, hugging Stephen back.
"You scared me back there." Stephen admitted, with his hand over the back of her head. "I thought you were gone."
"Well," Lenore peered up at Stephen, meeting his gaze, "I'm here, aren't I?"
Lenore then brought her gaze down to his chest where his wound is and and very delicately, placed her hand over it.
"How's your wound?" She asked, bring her gaze back up to Stephen.
"It still hurts...but I can manage." Stephen quipped, making Lenore chuckle softly. She reached up to touched his face, wiping the blood on his cheek with his thumb, Stephen then moved his head away, chuckling softly and timidly with her action.
"I'm glad you're okay." She admitted, she found herself stepping forward, closing any distance left between them, she peered up again and noticed the way Stephen's eyes flicked down her lips.
"And I to you." He answered as he inched much closer. They were a mere inch apart now. He hesitated at first, not wanting to do the same mistake months ago, but she didn't move, she stood there, her head tilted up slightly.
But before Stephen could anything else, a voice called out of the both of them. Annoyed, Stephen released an irritated huff and the two separated, leaving Lenore flustered, with her cheeks tinted red and her heart hammering inside her chest.
Mordo then came into view, eyebrows scrunched together in concern until he saw the both of them. The look of apprehension dropped from his face as he approached the both of them.
"You're okay." Mordo stated, briefly glancing towards Lenore who flashed him a smile, "Youre both okay."
"A relative term," Stephen started, looking down at Lenore who just flashed him a timid smile before he returned his gaze to Mordo, "But yeah, we're okay."
Mordo raised his hand, his finger pointing at Stephen. This prompted Lenore to step back and see what Mordo could be pointing at and realized the red cloak that they were just looking out hours ago was now on his shoulders.
Lenore couldn't help but offer him an impressed smile.
"The Cloak of Levitation." Mordo mentioned, eyes wide in awe as they flickered towards Stephen.
"It came to you." Lenore finished with Stephen returning the smile.
"No minor feat." A voice sounded behind them, both Mordo and Lenore had to turn around to see who spoke, it was the Ancient One walking into the room. "It's a fickle thing."
Stephen's jaw clenched.
"Mother!" Lenore exclaimed as she walked up to the Ancient One. A soft smile made its way onto her face as she opened her arms and let Lenore walk into them to share one quick hug. She then cupped Lenore's face, glistening with sweat and wounded, but despite everything, she was glad to see that her daughter was alive and well after battling Kaecilius.
"He's escaped." Stephen declared and interrupting the moment the two were having. Lenore then realized it wasn't the time for this so she stepped back, as she did, she noticed the surprised look on the Ancient One's face.
The Ancient One sighed then befought her gaze towards Stephen, "Kaecilius?
"Yeah." He informed her,"He can fold space and matter at will."
"He folds matter outside the Mirror Dimension...in the real world." Though her face remained blank, there was no denying that the woman was shocked to hear all of this. "How many more?"
"Two." Lenore answered, now joining Stephen's side, "Stephen stranded one in the desert."
"And the other?" The Ancient One inquired, her eyes sweeping over Stephen.
"His body's in the hall." He answered, he felt frustration filling him up and he concealed it to the best that he can. He then added, "Master Drumm is in the foyer."
"He's been taken back to Kamar-Taj." Mordo informed the three of them. The Ancient One nodded in understanding and turned to Lenore.
"The London Sanctum has fallen. Only New York and Hong Kong remain now... to shield us from the Dark Dimension." The Ancient One informed the three of them, both Mordo and Lenore wore a look filled with dread as they glanced towards each other. The Ancient One then glanced over Stephen, whose back was facing the three of them.
"You defended the New York Sanctum from attack. With its master gone, it needs another. Master Strange."
Stephen clenched his hands tight into a fist, turning around with an frustrated look on his face.
"No." He said firmly and the Ancient One paused, looking at him incredulously. "It is Doctor Strange. Not Master Strange. Not Mister Strange. Doctor Strange."
He felt a gentle hand on top of his upper arm, prompting him to look down. He met Lenore's concerned gaze and her hand on his his arm, squeezing it softly, seemingly to calm him down. But Stephen disregarded her, he allowed his frustration to take over.
"When I became a doctor, I swore an oath to do no harm. And I have just killed a man! I'm not doing that again. I became a doctor to save lives, not take them." He said, his voice rising in volume.
"You became a doctor to save one life above all others. Your own." The Ancient One retorted.
"Still seeing through me, are you?"
"Stephen! Enough." Lenore said with a warning tone in her voice. She tugged on his sleeve bringing back his attention to her abruptly before he turned to the Ancient One again. At that moment, she realized there was no point in stopping him.
"I've seen what I've always seen. Your over-inflated ego." The Ancient One finished.
Stephen's jaw clenched in annoyance.
"You want to go back to the delusion that you can control anything... even death... which no one can control. Not even the great Doctor Stephen Strange." She told him as Stephen started to walk towards her. Mordo and Lenore walked closer as well, glancing at each other confusedly.
"Not even Dormammu?" Stephen mentioned, making the Ancient One freeze. "He offers immortality."
"It's our fear of death that gives Dormammu life. He feeds off it." She explained.
"Like you feed off him?" Stephen told her pointedly, "You talk to me about controlling death? Oh, I know how you do it. I've seen the missing rituals from The Book of Cagliostro."
He then moved his hand between him and Lenore while he approached the Ancient One. "We've seen the missing rituals from The Book of Caliostro."
"Measure your next words carefully, Doctor." The Ancient One warned.
"Because you might not like them?" Stephen fought back, his eyes narrowing at the Ancient One.
"Because you may not know of what you speak."
Mordo's eyebrows scrunched together in confusion then asked. "What is he talking about?"
"I'm talking about her long life, the source of her immortality. She draws power from the Dark Dimension to stay alive." Stephen answered spitefully.
Mordo chuckled incredulously, "That's not true."
"I've seen the rituals. Worked them out. I know how you do it." Stephen added, now directing his words towards the Andient One who remained silent throughout the whole subject. Lenore couldn't bear to look at her, she still cannot fathom the fact that the Ancient One, her Mother, who taught her everything she knew about the Mystic Arts was using the same magic that she told her not to practice.
She was a hypocrite, like Kaecilius said.
"Once they regroup... the Zealots will be back. You'll need reinforcements." The Ancient One told Stephen before she turned to leave the room. But before she left, her gaze was fixated towards Lenore, whose back was turned towards the rest of the group. The Ancient One felt disappointed with herself and she left completely without a word.
"She's not who you think she is." Stephen told Mordo. Upon hearing this, she turned around and saw that Stephen was now confronting Mordo.
"You don't have the right to say that! You've no idea the responsibility that rests upon her shoulders!" Mordo exclaimed while pointing at the direction where the Ancient One left.
"No, and I don't want to know." Stephen retorted back.
"You're a coward."
"Because I'm not a killer?"
"These Zealots will snuff us all out... and you can't muster the strength to snuff them first?" Mordo said, his voice rising in volume.
"What do you think I just did?" Stephen shouted back.
"You saved your own life!" Mordo barked,
"And then whined about it like a wounded dog!"
"Oh, you would have done it so easily?"
"You've no idea the things I've done." Mordo brought his voice down to a hushed tone, "And the answer is yes. Without hesitation."
"Even if there's another way?"
"There is no other way."
"You lack imagination."
"No, Stephen." Mordo stepped forward, closing the distance between the two of them. "You lack a spine."
"Enough!" Lenore rose her voice, causing the two men to turn towards her, "We have more important things to take care of and you two are standing here fighting!"
She took a couple of breaths to compose herself, never in her life has she raised her voice like that and it was kind of relieving.
All of a sudden, a loud rumbling noise sounded from the foyer.
"They're back." Mordo declared and the three of them rushed to get down. All of them froze as they saw Kaecilius with two other Zealots. Above them was a big ball of energy that they used to destroy the London Sanctum.
"We have to end this." Mordo told Lenore and Stephen urgently, "Now!"
Lenore nodded, both she and Mordo jumped over the railing and onto the stair platform below them. Mordo used the boots of Valtoor to run in mid-air to reach the Zealot on the right. Meanwhile, Lenore ran downstairs, generating a pair of fan-shaped Tao Mandalas and threw them towards the Zealot at Kaecilius' left like projectiles.
The two mandalas struck the zealot, sending him flying backwards before Lenore placed her hands on the ground, summoning multiple magic threads from the ground in order to immobilize the Zealot.
"Strange! Get down here and fight!" Mordo called out with a strained voice as he struggled to get out of the female zealot's grasp.
Lenore turned her head to see Kaecilius had already created a fully formed ball of energy. Kaecilius smirked deviously at Lenore as she braced herself for what's about to come, expecting to be hit by a powerful blast. Kaecilius brought the ball of energy onto the ground with a blast that knocked Lenore, Mordo and the other Zealots back. Lenore let go setting the Zealot free.
All of their attention was towards Stephen, levitating with the help of the cloak.
"The Mirror Dimension." Stephen told Kaecilius smugly, "You can't affect the real world in here. Who's laughing now? Asshole."
A devious smirk grew across Kaecilius' lips, "I am."
Kaecilius moved his arms, and with it, the room as well. Lenore basically had to crawl away from the floor that separated in half in order to get away from it.
Stephen saw her and quickly dove down, bumping onto Kaecilius tos tela his sling ring before he swept Lenore off of the floor. She held onto his hand tightly until they were both outside.
Mordo came out not long after and the three sorcerers watched the building behind them. The walls moved, even the windows. This made Lenore wonder how much power Kaecilius have.
A devious smirk grew on Kaecilius' lips, "I am."
Kaecilius moved his arms and with it, the room around them moved as well. Lenore moved away from the floor that was being separated in two to avoid falling. But doing that caused her to let go of her spell and the Zealot broke free from her clutches.
Stephen flew towards Kaecilius, struck his body with his while snatching his sling ring from his robe.
"Lenore!" Stephen called out, beckoning her to come.
Lenore ran outside, joining both Mordo and Stephen outside. The three of them watched as the Sanctum moved.
"I've got his sling ring. They can't escape, right?" Stephen asked Mordo, showing Kaecilius' sling ring to him. But his question remained unanswered as the three Zealots started to emerge from inside the Sanctum.
"Run!" Mordo shouted at the two. The three of them ran in the road, avoiding all the cars driving past them when all of a sudden, the three of them froze when the world around them moved. Lenore barely could keep herself balanced.
"Oh, this is a bad idea." Lenore mumbled, cautiously looking around for the Zealots.
"What do you mean bad idea?" Stephen asked.
"Their connection to the Dark Dimension makes them more powerful in the Mirror Dimension. They can't affect the real world, but they can still kill us. This wasn't cleverness. It was suicide!" Mordo explained.
Upon looking behind them, Mordo saw that the Zealots were gaining on them, prompting the theee of them to run once again. Stephen created a portal for them ahead, to escape from the Mirror Dimension and back to the Physical World. But by the time they were merely a few steps close to it, Kaecilius tilted the world sideways, causing the three of them to plummet downwards and land face first onto a bus.
Inside, the man laughed at the book he was reading, unaware of what was happening around him. "Ha! That is hilarious."
They brought themselves back to their feet and once again saw the Zealots nearing them.
"Grab my hand." Stephen told Lenore and she obeyed. She grabbed his extended hand and they ran to the edge of the bus and flew onto a side of the building. While Mordo was using his boots, Stephen and Lenore used the Cloak.
Once their feet were planted firmly onto the side of the building, they sprinted off while Stephen once again made a portal for them to escape on. But just like last time, Kaecilius disrupted them, this time, he made the side of the building move in violent waves.
With the waves making them lose their footing, Kaecilius split the building in half before both sides started to curl inwards. The three sorcerers fell as everything around them shifted in place, moving in an never ending motion.
The landed on a building below them, Lenore summoned a pair tao mandalas to slowly lower herself onto the building. Stephen ran to the edge, looking at the overhead view of different buildings moving in odd positions.
"This was a mistake." Stephen said.
Upon hearing this, Mordo slowly turned to Stephen, shooting him a look.
The building suddenly tipped, the three sorcerers sliding off their feet again. Each one of them fell on different parts of a metal staircase. Lenore slowed her fall with a pair of tao mandalas, landing just on top of Mordo.
Stephen continued falling until he landed onto a metal platform. Lenore jumped onto the platform beside Mordo and reached out to Stephen but the platform above stephen closed off before he could even take her hand.
"Stephen!" Lenore called out in concern before she was abruptly pulled behind Mordo to block an incoming attack from a Zealot. Mordo fought the Zealot and ended their fight by tossing him over the railing.
Mordo spun around, out of
