_______________

Even with the pain of her stab wound trying to make her stop, Lenore continued,  moving away from the Zealot that was pursuing the both of them. She had to move fast because Stephen's life was on the line. Her breath hitched when she saw the Zealot appearing in the doorway while walking briskly towards the both of them.

Lenore brought her gaze back to the path they were taking and tried to move faster but it was impossible to do it with the wound slowing her down. She could hear his footsteps nearing and the creation of another blade behind them. Lenore braced for what's about to come down on her, while at it, she wrapped her arms around Stephen protectively, deciding she would take the hit even if it killed her.

She couldn't let Stephen die, not after she saw him in one of her visions that he would be fighting Dormammu and save the world.

She clasped her arms around Stephen tightly as the Zealot's shadow loomed over them. She could tell he was ready to strike and she was ready to receive it. But when she felt nothing land on her, she turned around and saw the Cloak of Levitation fighting the Zealot. It wrapped itself around his head and thrashed him about. With one forceful yank, the Cloak brought him down to the floor.

Stephen and Lenore watched with wide eyes as the zealot tried standing but the Cloak pulled him down once again, slamming his head against the floor. The Zealot's sling ring slid across the floor towards them, Stephen knelt down to grab it before he created a portal in front of them.

Stephen walked forward while Lenore remained on the other side, looking at the zealot and the cloak to make sure they were not being followed.

"Lenore!" Strange called on to her from the other side of the portal, he fell on a couple of cleaning materials and trudged towards the doors. Lenore quickly followed suit , stepping in into the portal before she quickly slid herself underneath his arm to support him.

"Help!" Lenore called out urgently, her eyes wandering around the halls, hoping someone would come to them immediately.

"C-Christine..." Stephen muttered breathily, he patted her arm to get her attention.

"What?" Lenore looked down at Stephen, eyebrows scrunched together in concern. He was paler and getting weaker at this point.

"Look for Christine." He told her in a raspy tone.

Lenore nodded but before she could call for Christine, a nurse finally walked up to the both of them and noticed their condition.

"Sir? Ma'am, can I help you?" She asked as she approached them both.

"Christine Palmer, where is she?" Stephen asked before Lenore could. She lifted Stephen a bit so that he could see the nurse.

"A-At the nurse's station!" She replied, stuttering after hearing the urgency in his voice. "But sir! We really need to get yβ€”"

"Take her." Stephen said while tipping his head towards Lenore.

"But Stephenβ€”."

"Don't worry, Lenore. I promised you that you would get help so go with her, can you do that for me?" Stephen said, giving her arm a soft squeeze.

Lenore pressed her lips into a thin line and nodded before letting go of Stephen.

"I'll see you later." Lenore told him before she let the nurse take her away. Stephen nodded before he limped forward, presumably heading towards the nurse's station where Christine was. She heard him calling for her as the nurse took her to a different room.

The nurse lowered the bed first before helping Lenore onto it. As she laid down, the nurse determined where her wound was before she exposed it for her to see.

Lenore saw the shock in her eyes when she saw how big the stab wound was. She immediately ran to the corner of the room, picking up a telephone to call for a doctor while picking up the tools needed for suturing it. Lenore could hear how frantic her voice was, needing immediate help.

At that point she could barely feel any pain, instead of focusing on it, her mind focused on the thought of the portal they had recklessly left open back in the room came out of. Not only that but how long can the Cloak hold him down, even though it's an ancient magic relic, it's still a piece of cloth.

Make sure not to mention that to it. Might get annoyed.

To ease her fears, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. After a few seconds, she reopened her eyes, the ceiling seemed more to be growing closer. Turning around, she looked upon her physical body, unmoving.

The nurse thought she was dead until she pressed her fingers onto her neck. Her pulse was there but it was weak due to the loss of blood. She grew worried about her body, after all, she may not be able  return to her body at all.

Nonetheless, she pushed those thoughts away and focused on the matter at hand.

She flew across the room and went completely through the wall. But just as she was heading towards the room where the portal is, she froze almost instantly when she saw the Zealot coming out from that very room, and in his Astral form.

"Hey, you!" She called on the Zealot. The zealot whipped his head towards Lenore and turned his body so that he was facing her.

"You're starting to piss me off." She told him before the both of them engaged in battle. Both of them met halfway in the middle, while Lenore was able to avoid the zealot's incoming punch, the zealot didn't.

With a punch on his jaw, Lenore was able to push him back a few feet away from her, slightly disoriented.

But once he recovered, he lunged towards Lenore and attempted to land a blow onto her face. She blocked it with her arm and sent a punch onto his gut, knocking upwards that sent him up to the floor above they were on.

The Zealot came back seconds later, delivering a downward kick onto Lenore that she blocked using her arms.

The two fought fiercely, with every attack sent were being dodged by each other. But that was until the Zealot was finally able to spot an opening in Lenore's form. He locked into it and landed a powerful blow, knocking Lenore back before he proceeded to kick her.

His kick sent her inside one of the rooms and into the wall, her feet went through the table but the impact of her crashing onto the wall behind her caused it to violently shake with the things above it falling down.

Christine jumped at the sound of falling objects, her gaze flickered towards the wall, causing Stephen to follow her gaze.

He saw Lenore pushing herself off of the wall, her arms raised defensively as if she was fighting someone. Stephen then turned to look at what Lenore was looking at and saw the Zealot emerge from the doors, his gaze fixed towards the brunette across the room.

"I'm gonna have to vanish now." Stephen told Christine while his gaze was fixed at the Zealot. Christine looked up, her expression was a mix of fear and confusion.

"What?" She asked breathily.

"Keep me alive will you?" Stephen reminded her before he vanished, leaving Christine alone and worried. Stephen moved in time with the Zealot who charged at Lenore and successfully landed a hit on him with a kick.

The zealot fell through the floor but was able to hold onto it to push him back just as quickly. He flew towards Stephen and punched him in the chest, Stephen's pained grunt filled the room as he was sent towards the wall and landed onto the glass wall behind him.

The zealot quickly followed after him, punching his face before grabbing him by his neck. Just as Lenore was flying towards the zealot, the Zealot threw Stephen across the room.

Once Lenore got closer, she fought the zealot but quickly got overwhelmed. After being pushed away by the Zealot, Stephen moved in, landed a few punches and kicks to the zealot before he was once again sent across the room and his back slammed against the metal shelf behind him.

Lenore fought the Zealot once again, this time, she was able to bring him down onto the gurney, where Stephen's physical body lay. Their fight caused the basin, that was beside Christine to shake slightly.

Lenore saw movement from her peripheral and realized it was Stephen coming up to help her. She waited first until Stephen was near enough before she switched placed with the Zealot, from being underneath her to being on top of her. Surprised by the sudden change, the Zealot was distracted that he didn't notice Stephen lunging at him.

Their astral bodies went through Christine's, taking her along with them until Christine composed herself and stepped in closer to Stephen to continue her procedure on him.

Stephen brought the Zealot to the floor below them, the zealot tried to break free by punching Stephen but he didn't let him. He kept his grip on him tightly before sending him out through a wall with him.

They phased through a vending machine, causing it to tip slightly and all the chips that were in front caused one of the Hospital's doctors to go back and get it.

The two sorcerers then brought their battle back to the surgery room. Lenore flew towards the Zealot, trying to make him let go of Stephen but it was futile. The zealot fended her off before he punched Stephen that brought him to his knees.

A loud gasped escaped Lenore's lips as the Zealot delivered a spinning kick onto  Stephen's head, knocking him unconscious in his astral form but not on his physical form. He was flatlining.

Angered by this, Lenore came up towards the Zealot again the moment he picked up Stephen by his head and attempted to crush his skull.

"No!" Lenore shouted as she flew towards the Zealot hoping to stop him from killing Stephen.

But all of a sudden, a strong magical force came out of Steven, not only knocking Lenore backward but the Zealot as well. Whatever it was sent the Zealot flying across the room and onto the next one. He flew past the table that contained Christine's equipment.

"Are you okay?" Stephen asked Lenore with concern evident in his tone. He didn't know he could do that, let alone affect Lenore with it.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Taking Stephen's outstretched hand, she hoisted herself back up and gazed at the wall in front of them, waiting for the Zealot to emerge from it. "What was that?"

"I don't know but whatever it is. It's working." Stephen then revealed himself to Christine, startling her as a surprised gasp escaped her.

"Hit me again." Stephen told Christine hastily.

"Stop doing that!" She scolded Steven with an irritated voice.

"Up the voltage and hit me again." Steve demanded.

"No, your heart's beating!"

"Just do it!" He urged before he disappeared again. While Christine charged the defibrillator, Lenore charged at the zealot who was now reappearing again, she moved to pin him onto the wall to give the defibrillator enough time to charge up.

Lenore punched the Zealot once in the face, making him stop struggling for a brief second before she exchanged places with Stephen.

"Get back!" Stephen shouted, not wanting to affect Lenore again. Once the defibrillator was fully charged, Stephen lit up again. He yelled as the bright light engulfed his body which affected the Zealot as well.

All of a sudden, everything around them short-circuited, prompting the two women to curl up and protect themselves.

When the electronics surrounding them stopped short-circuiting, Lenore peered up, her eyes darting around the room to look for Stephen. There was no sign of him, even the Zealot. She gazed at the corner of the room, the spot that Stephen had the zealot pinned down had its surroundings blackened, like a fire burned it.

"Woah." She muttered under her breath, her eyes widening for a brief second in awe.

"Stephen?" Christine's voice sounded beside Lenore, prompting her to bring her gaze towards Stephen's body. However, Stephen did not respond to Christine, he remained unresponsive.

Worried, Lenore moved towards Stephen and placed her hand over his forehead.

"Stephen?" She called for him this time. Still unresponsive.

Lenore started to believe that the worst had happened with him.

Until Stephen awoke with a jerk, causing Christine to scream and Lenore to reel back in surprise.

Lenore's hand hovered over her chest, feeling her racing heartbeat steady as she gazed down Stephen with relief.

Stephen may not be able to see her but he knew where she was, he slowly turned his head towards her direction and flashed her a grateful smile while weakly raising his hand.

Lenore smiled as she reached for his hand, though she could not really hold it, she felt like it was there. By the time Stephen was getting stitches, she decided to leave and return to her body.

When she awoke, she was still lying on the gurney, her wound being tended to by a doctor. The doctor lifted his gaze from her wound, meeting her gaze.

"This is one deep cut, miss. But I've never seen one like this in all of my years." the Doctor stated as he cut the string and set aside his tool. "What were you stabbed with?"

Lenore smiled sheepishly, "You wouldn't believe me if I tell you, Doc."
