You nudged Plagg awake with your pointer finger. You just had to know why the book was so special that Adrien's father had punished him for losing it. You only saw the pages that Adrien showed you, indicating the many miraculous of heroes that were drawn on the book. So, when you saw his text; you were flabbergasted to say the least.
Groaning, Plagg tiredly fluttered his eyes open at your nudging.
"Plagg, spill the tea. What was so important about that book?" Plagg took a few moments to register the question, "Dunno. Maybe it's the same book the guardian lost."
Your jaw slacked down as you heard his words. "Guardian?" You inquired, but you didn't hear him say anything about it as Plagg only hummed in response, yawning to tell you to quit your talking.
It's not like he could either way as you didn't have to book with you so you didn't ask him anything else. The only thing you can question is, how did he lose it? Or why was it so special that his father reached this length of punishment. You were unconsciously pacing around your room, annoyed by your unawareness at the meaning of the book.
But you stopped at the spot at your sudden theory. It's almost suspicious that a regular civilian would have that book when you yourself can't even tell a civilian that you're a heroine. So what if he wasn't just a simple civilian?
"Plagg, do you think Gabriel Agreste is Hawkmoth?"
You waited for his answer but you didn't hear him say anything. So you turned your head to look at him and your brows raised in surprise when you saw him knocked out on your bed.
You woke him up once again, telling him that you needed him to transform. You didn't have proof, yes, but you needed to tell Ladybug about your theory and fast, "Plagg, claws out."
You jumped off the window, extending your staff to head over to a building not so far away, but inaudible so no one would hear, from your house. You whipped out your staff to call Ladybug but she beat you to it, "Kitty, I think I know who Hawkmoth is! Get your whiskers over here fast!" She somewhat yelled, declining the call before you could respond back.
She didn't give you a location so you checked your staff, trying to find the trace of the call's location to meet her. Finally catching the location, you extended your staff towards the school's rooftop; already seeing a distressed Ladybug pacing around.
She seemed like she was about to call you again but you were already walking towards her. "Don't worryโ I'm here already, bug. So who do you believe is Hawkmoth?"
Ladybug let out a small sigh before turning to face you. "Gabriel Agreste. You know? The fashion designer." You nodded. Though you didn't ask for any proof, especially when you yourself reached to the same conclusion that he was Hawkmoth.
"I also found something." She spoke, bringing out her yo-yo to show you something, "Get this. Check out this logo." She zoomed in on a picture of Adrien, specifically on his shoe that showed a shaped butterfly logo.
You hummed as you gave her a smile, "Always catching the littlest things, bug. Let's get to the bottom of this." You jumped off the roof, extending your staff towards the Agreste Mansion.
Upon entering the Agreste household, your eyes widened in surprise as you saw everything destroyed; everything scattered around carelessly. You also didn't catch sight of anyone in there either, making you believe Adrien or his father could've been akumatized to create such a mess.
"Woah, what happened here? Looks like somebody had a little tantrum." Ladybug observed.
You walked forward to observe the place, already seeing a small hand made painting of Adrien and his family together. It had to be Gabriel who was akumatized, considering how he seemed to never acknowledge what his son actually does, "He has a son, Adrien. Let's try finding him," You stated, already running out the room.
Once you got to leave the room and try going towards Adrien's, an akumatized villain was standing on top of the stairs, "Adrien was already taken care of." He spat out, throwing his book towards Ladybug; which effortlessly avoided his hit and tackled you to prevent it from hitting you as well.
You guys tried attacking him, but he was much more skilled than you guys. Scarily enough to avoid every single hit until you threw your staff at him to try to distract him; only for it to trapped inside his notebook.
"Nice piece, would you agree?" The Collector smirked.
You threw a chair at him so that you and Ladybug could run away. She caught on immediately as she followed you behind a chair, "The akuma's gotta be in the book!" Ladybug informed.
"How will we get it if we'll disappear if we even touch it?" You questioned.
At your statement, she called out for her lucky charm. In return, she was given a pedal; making her tilt her head slightly in confusion. Looking around for clues she let out a disappointed sigh when she saw nothing, "I have no idea what to do with this! We need to stall him."
Shortly after, the staircase disappeared right behind you; giving the Collector the access to get you guys. "Ladybug and Chatรณn Noire, you shall be masterpieces in my new book of inspiration!"
He continuously threw his book at you guys, but you jumped to lift yourself up on top of the stairwell so it didn't touch you. When he was distracted with Ladybug, you drew your hand towards the closed book. He took notice as he lifted it high up on the air so you couldn't reach it. He hovered over you as he pressed you against the wall and placed the book closely in front of you.
Squinting your eyes shut in defeat, Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around his wrist to pull him away from you. The impact from her pulling made him release the notebook, which made Ladybug slightly distracted by it; hence making it easier for the Collector to draw his fist at her.
The notebook came back to him and used it once again to grab you but you anticipated this as you kicked it away from him. He jumped to grab it but before he could, Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around his ankle; pulling him down to the floor.
Before anyone could grab it, it returned back to him.
The remaining grasp of the yo-yo around his ankle was collected by the notebook the Collector had, "My collection is growing."
Ladybug let out a small yell at the sight of her yo-yo being absorbed but soon joined you into jumping up the second floor, and into Adrien's room. In order to distract him for at least a few moments, you guys brought furniture near the door to give you guys some time to find Adrien.
"This should at least give us a few minutes to find Adrien," Ladybug said, who ran around the room to catch sight of the blonde eyed boy.
Remembering the Collector's previous words, maybe he had caught Adrien inside his notebook. Your face twisted in anger as you thought of the man's horrible parenting. You don't care how impossible it seems right now, you knew someone as horrible as him had to possibly be Hawkmoth.
"He isn't here, the Collector must've reached him first." Ladybug informed.
"You cannot escape from me!" He laughed menacingly.
"What if he doesn't have any pages left in his book?" Ladybug theorized, eyeing the shelf of CD's as she remained still.
You ignored her as the Collector ran towards you, placing his book dangerously close to you. Before it could touch you, you jumped over the ramp that was placed on top of the door and ran towards the bookshelf of CD's.
"Chatรณn Noire, I need ammunition!" She yelled out, who was currently avoiding getting hit by book instead.
"What?!" You shouted back, confused.
"We're going to complete his collection." She explained, throwing a trophy at the shelf; causing CD's to fall out. You smiled in recognition, "A genius like always, bug." You swooned as she ran beside you to grab your belt.
Before he could collect you in his book, you threw him over your shoulder and across the floor; calling out for your cataclysm shortly afterwards. You dragged your hand across the shelf to let the CD's fall out to floor and hand it over to the heroine below; who was currently weaponizing a foosball table with her pedal.
"Ready, Chatรณn Noire?" Ladybug called out.
You threw the CD's over to her, and Ladybug used her hand-made weapon to fire the CD's at the Collecter; who smirked as he used the book to avoid the CD's. You groaned in disappointment when there were no more CD's, "There's no more left!"
You saw him corner her into a wall and bring the book closer to her. He continued pressing it until Ladybug caught on that there were no more pages for her to be absorbed in, thus kicking it away from him. You jumped to grab it before he could register it was thrown in the air. The Collector growled as he sprinted towards you but you threw back at the heroine so it'd be more easier for her to purify the akuma.
Once she ripped it in half, she threw the pedal up in the air; calling out her usual motto and brought everything back to normal. You dramatically let out a long relived sigh as you brought your staff closer to you; hugging it as if it were an actual thing.
"No more evil doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize! Gotcha, bye, bye, little butterfly!" The Collector fell on his knees, transforming back into his usual self. Shortly after, Adrien re-appeared, glancing around to run back to his father.
"Are you okay, father?!" He practically yelled, looking at his father with concern. Mr. Agreste only raised his hand reassuring him that he's fine before thanking you and Ladybug.
You let a small scoff before nodding your head at him, accepting his thanks. You both said your goodbyes and left the mansion to transform back.

"Well, it seems like you both were wrong. Gabriel isn't Hawkmoth," Plagg said, devouring a piece of camembert as he laid next to you on your bed.
Once to transformed back to your civilian self, you walked back home with your thoughts. You were almost infuriated by the terrible parenting of Gabriel Agreste, not only did he punish Adrien but it angered him so bad at the fact he lost the book; that he captured Adrien with no remorse.
"It may seem like that, but I'll keep a close watch on him." You looked down at your phone before speaking up again, "Woah, Adrien's coming back to school?"
It seemed like Marinette had the book with her and returned it back to Gabriel. You didn't ponder why she did have it, but it's nice that she took responsibility for it. You still believed Gabriel was Hawkmoth though, no matter what he does to convince you guys he isn't.
Plagg zoomed closer to you, checking your phone as well to make out the texts, "Good things happened today, right?" He joked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
You rolled your eyes at him playfully before poking his stomach to gently push him away, "Yeah that's right."
