Y/N's POV:

"Are you sure this is the place? It looks run down and out-of-place?" I glared at what seemed to be like an old building with windows cracked and wooden boards falling off the windows. But once I realized whatever was behind those windows were blocked by a wall, it made sense.

"This is correct, I've come here a few times." Ei took both my hands, holding them with her own as we faced each other, her palms were incredibly soft.

"I feel that I must warn you about these 'special events', they're very diverse in character. So if you uncomfortable at any point in time, please alert me. Also you forgot your wedding ring..." Ei's attention quickly diverted to my ring finger as she slid it onto my left hand, then letting go of her grasp on my hands.

"I told you I don't understand why normal people do this, and I mean we're far from normal but all you're gonna do is loose this tiny very valuable item!"

"I understand your values and morals, now come on I'm growing impatient. They have good food, and you know very well yourself that my cooking ability is absent."

We walked into the secret venue as absent-minded as one can be, but I just held tight to Ei's wrist.

I was wearing a navy blue dress which was very minimalistic, the dress had layers with shorter cut in the front and long in the back. Which combined with a top that almost looked like Yae's casual outfit, sleeveless and instead fed into the collar. Ei was wearing a slim fit evening gown that was a metallic royal purple, the bodice cut was in a very long V shape with some cleavage.

"Do as you please, if you need anything let me know. But if you ever wanna disappear and want to 'take a break' there's a closet in the back, I'll be around." And she walked off, letting go of my nervous grasp. It must've been urgent, a conversation with my former boss, Morax, perhaps? Or maybe the desserts?

I toddled off myself and found myself enjoying some food, I thought this social event might be good for me since I'm not exactly well known across Teyvant, and I wanted to support Ei. After I finished eating I decided to join Ei in talking to a group of people, she kept gesturing me with her eyes to come over.

I grouped with Ei's very long distance much ghosting friends, I decided that talking doesn't suit me. I filled my thoughts with red wine instead, to distract myself. Until I was face to face with somebody I didn't recognize.

"Who are you? I don't recognize you as a well known figure, new perhaps?"

"Y/N, adeptus from Liyue."

"What's an adeptus from Liyue doing here? This is for higher ups sweet cheeks, you can't be here. I'm not even sure how you got in here or how you knew about this? I haven't even heard of you before. Maybe they only let you in because you have a nice figure, I'm sure we can all agree that you have no right to be here. But if you wanna swing around my place later maybe we can arrange something.." I was so distracted I didn't even see the man reaching for my waist, until I was reminded on how much I love my wife.

Ei swatted the hand by slapping it hard, making the person take their hand back.

"What was that for?! I was only complimenting their figure!"

"I'm the only one who can 'compliment their figure you asshole, now I recommend you leave them alone."

"My god you women are so sensitive"

"If you really believe women are sensitive then you'll listen to my words very carefully, if you dare ever question their status to be here or only validate their status because of your so desperate then go elsewhere. And to attempt in touching my wife and even suggesting something of that sort is incredibly revolting, if you do not cut your idiotic comments I will make sure you're never ever aloud to even look at them." Ei's voice was harsh and intense, and she was looking at this person dead straight in the eye. I could already see her full of lightning, I've never seen her like this before.

"I'm so sorry I didn't realize I was messing with a god-"

"Leave us alone!" She stood her ground.

The person finally backed off after they realized who they were dealing with, and ran off into the crowd.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"

"Your fine, nobody should treat you like that."

After that accident I wondered away from everyone, and found that closet in the back. Luckily nobody was making out in there so I just curled up and sat for a few minutes, I buried myself in my thoughts trying to process everything. After a few minutes of quiet sulking the closet was opened by Ei, as she sat next to me and closed the door behind her.

"I have a feeling you're not in here for me and you time, is everything alright?"

"I'm having a hard time processing things right now, I think it's the wine. I tend to mindlessly drink sometimes, you know that."

"I understand that, that scenario was dreadful. But don't let that person ruin your night, we're here to have fun are we not?"

"You're right" I admitted defeat to my mindless thoughts, as Ei offered me her hand I took it, standing up with her sweet face to greet me.

"What about we go outside, just me and you, we can do whatever you want."

"I'd love that."

With fresh air in mind, me and Ei paused our meet up and ran outside. We both pushed an nudged through the crowd back to the entrance, the amount of "Watch it!"s and "Rude!"s I heard while I felt the brushing of other peoples shoulders was excruciating. We had landed at our destination, and I decided to make a rash decision.

"What are you doing?" She asked me, looking me up and down.

"I'm taking off my shoes, aren't they bothering you?" I sat down on the soft grass and took off my silver high heels, and pushing them aside. She followed suit and soon enough we were both barefoot, on the comforting Liyue grass. I stood back up and took Ei's hands.

"Follow my movements, 'kay?"

I stepped inward still holding Ei's palms, she followed my movements. I stepped out and had her twirl in my arms before catching her again, after several try's I kept adding more movements to the rhythm and Ei continued to reflect my movements back at me like a mirror. Soon enough we were together in a never ending step sequence as the sun set behind us.

Morax or more commonly known as Zhongli had stepped out with Barbados, for some fresh air as well.

"As I was saying, this wine is-" Venti's mouth had soon been covered by Zhongli's hand, silencing him from any further words.

Zhongli removed his hand from Venti's mouth shortly afterwards.

"What was that for, my-" Zhongli interrupted by pointing at Ei & her spouse dancing outside which answered Venti's questions.

"Leave them be, they remind me of my past lover. They deserve this much, they've gone through hell too you know."

Zhongli nudged Venti with his elbow.

"You had a past loverrrr." The very drunk Venti commented, before Zhongli led him back inside the building.

"I'm tired, but unfortunately home is hours away, do you have any ideas?" I asked Ei, it was well past dark now although the building was still lit up with voices and light.

"What if we go to your place? I haven't been in Liyue in a millennia, and I never got to see your past like how you've read mine." She suggested, as she readjusted the upper torso of her dress.

"That would be most pleasant, now it shouldn't be far from here my lady." I bowed sarcastically, holding out my hand as in to take it, in which she did.

After awhile of walking we arrived at my old home, which hadn't been used since a few years when I left for Inazuma. Untouched, with small bits of dust filling in the tiny cracks and crevices. Nothing has changed since I left, not a single thing out of place.

"So this is where you've been staying post-archon war?"

"It never changed since pre-archon war."
