"Yo, Y/n," Amari greeted as she strolled into the room just a few minutes later, her bag slung lazily over her shoulder. "Did you study?"

"Yeah," you replied, voice flat with fatigue. "You?"

"Only for a bit, until I decided that studying at the last minute won't work and watched a movie instead." Amari scoffed at her lack of motivation.

You laughed then reached into your bag and pulled out the carefully written reviewer you'd prepared days ago. "Here," you offered, handing it to her.

"You are an angel, Y/n," Amari gasped dramatically, clutching the papers to her chest like they were her lifeline.

"Oh, am I now?" you teased, raising an eyebrow.

"Only today," she quipped, grinning back at you.

Before you could fire back a witty retort, a familiar voice called out from the doorway."Hey, L/n!"

You and Amari exchanged a quick glance. Her eyes narrowed as she flicked her gaze toward the door where Watanabe Ryomei stood, looking somewhat awkward yet determined.

'What's he doing here?' Amari's expression seemed to ask.

'I don't know bruh.' you silently responded with a shrug.

Curious, you rose from your seat and walked over to Watanabe, who stood just outside the door, a paper bag in hand.

"What's up?" you asked, puzzled.

"Oh! Uh..." Watanabe rubbed the back of his neck, looking slightly embarrassed. "I just wanted to give you something... y'know, in exchange for those cookies you gave us the other day." He extended the bag toward you with a sheepish smile. "They were really good. Better than usual, actually."

You blinked in surprise, "Oh, you didn't have to do that," you said modestly, though you accepted the bag anyway. Peeking inside, you found an assortment of snacks and a chilled bottle of coffee nestled between them.

"Hey, thanks! I really needed this," you said with a grin, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over you.

"You're welcome. Anytime!" Watanabe smiled, giving a casual wave before turning on his heel and heading off down the hallway.

You returned to your seat, still holding the bag, when Amari fixed you with a suspicious stare.

"What was that?" she asked, her tone dripping with curiosity.
