A/N~This was requested by HufflepuffJam, I hope you and everyone else likes it. Don't judge the pet name, I wanted all of the Y/N's ones to be different. Sorry for being inactive, still enjoying my holiday.
TW~Pain and swearing.
Y/N'S POV
It's been roughly 26 hours since I went into labour at home, and me and Carrington decided to have a calm home birth.
It was a long, painful process, but luckily Carrington was there for every swear word, every contraction and every push.
Finally at 4.16am, our little twin Bornsteins were born.
Aurora Kailani Bornstein was born first at 3.34am, weighing at 4.5lbs.
Asher Koa Bornstein was born at 4.16am, weighing at 4.1lbs.
Asher took a while to be born due to him being breech, so the process was a lot slower and more careful, but Asher came out healthy, just a bit lighter than Aurora.
"You done such a good job Y/N. Im proud of you." Carrington says, kissing my hand which he's currently holding, as I sit in the birth pool, tired and exhausted.
Carrington sits there just in his sweatpants, with no shirt on as he knows how much comfort physical and skin to skin contact gives me.
The midwife is in the next room, cleaning the babies up, weighing them and doing checks, and then she comes out of the room, putting our twins in the big bassinet.
"Both twins are healthy. You did an amazing job Y/N. There's a bath run in your bathroom just to get freshened up, I'll be packing my stuff up and watching the babies. Just take care of yourself for now." She states, and I nod.
Carrington takes my arms into his hands, as I hold onto his own, before I get up, but stopping, wincing in pain from the soreness in my body.
"Easy pup. Take your time, no rush." Carrington whispers, putting my hands on his shoulders as he holds my waist.
"I'm okay, just sore." I reply, stepping out of the tub. Carrington then helps me to the bathroom, and I sink into the tub, the warm water soothing my sore muscles.
"Oooh that feels a lot better." I sigh contently, washing my face from the sweat and tears during the birth.
"I know I said it before, but I'll say it again. I'm so proud of you Y/N you brought our 2 little angels into the world, and I couldn't be prouder." Carrington says, kissing my forehead as he helps to wash me.
"I love you Carrington, thanks for being with me, it helped a lot." I whisper, holding his hands and kissing the back of his hand.
"I love you too. You done such a good job." He replies, helping me out of the bath, wrapping me in a fluffy towel as I dry myself off.
Carrington gives me some underwear, sweatpants and my favourite hoodie of his.
I get changed carefully, since I'm sore as fuck, and then me and Carrington head downstairs, seeing the twins sleeping and the midwife packing the final things up.
"How are you feeling now?" She asks, helping me sit on the couch, next to the twin's bassinet.
"Just sore, mostly tired but also relieved." She nods, picking her medical bags up.
"Well 26 hours of labour is tough, but you handled it like a champ. I'll be going now, but well done, you have 2 healthy babies." Carrington thanks her, and then escorts her out before coming back over to me.
Carrington, picks the twins up, holding the in each arm, before handing Asher to me.
"Hey baby." I whisper, holding Asher against my chest, rubbing his back as he coos.
Carrington lays Aurora on his bare chest, because apparently skin to skin contact helps the babies too.
I lay there with Asher on my chest, and I can't help but feel worried and guilty.
I should've been more careful then Asher might not have been breech.
Carrington sees me zoned out, and strokes my hair gently.
"What's wrong?" He asks, stroking Asher's cheek.
"I-I should've been more careful. I feel so guilty that Asher was breech. It was my fault." I ramble, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
"Shh...calm down Y/N. It wasn't your fault. Sometimes it happens naturally, and it was out of our control, we didn't know until he was ready to be born." He states, and I nod, still feeling worried in case Asher has any problems.
"Don't overthink pup. It's just the postpartum. The midwife says both babies are healthy and strong. If any problems do arise, we can easily go to the doctors. Asher's already a fighter, and Aurora is a sleepy koala." I giggle at his response about the twins.
"Yeah I guess. Thanks." I reply, resting my head on Carrington's shoulder.
We sit there for a few more hours, feeding, changing and caring for the twins before heading to bed for the evening, since we were both awake for now 34 hours.
We lay the twins in there cribs, kissing their cheeks, before Carrington helps me into bed.
"It's only 1pm." He laughs, and I giggle too.
"We deserve it." I reply.
"We definitely do." I rest my head on his chest, still a bit sore, as we fall asleep, ready start our new chapter of parenthood.
