Previously:

The rest of Fairy Tail was sticking to Mavis' plan. They were staying in place, remaining in the place where they were teleported to. Lucy Heartfilia was the only active Fairy Tail member right now, earning points for her team until the time came for them to move.

Now:

• LUCY'S POV •

I continued following the dirt path I found a few minutes ago that First Master told me to follow until I reach a cliff.

Soon enough, I did reach a cliff, overlooking the city of Crocus, the Domus Flau in the distance.

"Once you reach a cliff, there you will battle Kiran Mavra of Meraki Parastin." Mavis' voice rang through my head as I gaze out to the large city.

My golden blonde hair blew in the light breeze as I heard faint footsteps nearing.

"Oh, hello Lucy," a male voice greeted behind me. I turned around to see the happy and joyful Kiran Mavra.

"Hello, Kiran. How are you?" I asked, making small talk before we begin battling. I have 15 minutes before I have to finish this battle and the others move to their locations.

"I'm great!" Kiran beamed as he walked closer. "How are you?"

"I'm good. Say..." I trailed off, thinking about Callista's dare yesterday as Kiran waited patiently for my question. "How do you feel about Callista?"

"Callista?" Kiran thought out loud as a faint blush washed over his face. "She's a great friend!"

I can just hear Mira facepalming back at the Domus Flau.

"Just friends?" I questioned. We both know we have to fight sooner or later.

"Yup!" Kiran answered, though his face said otherwise. He was evidently blushing, but I guess he wouldn't notice.

"Alright," I sighed as I requipped my stringless bow into my left hand. "Should we begin the battle?"

"I guess we should," Kiran chuckled nervously as he got into a battle stance.

I lifted my bow above my head as I pull back on the glittering string that had appeared the moment my right hand started the motion.

As I aimed at the sky, I see Kiran launch himself off the ground to me, trying to strike while I was trying to summon a constellation.

"That won't work," I thought to myself as Kiran came closer.

Whenever I'm about to summon a constellation, the bow casts an invisible thin shield around me to protect me from people who try and strike me while I'm trying to summon someone.

Though it may be thin and can still be broken when hit enough times with enough force, it's enough time for me to summon a constellation.

The moment Kiran hit the invisible shield, he was sent back a few feet as the place where he struck shined, revealing the shield's barrier.

I inwardly grin as I focus my attention back to my bow. "Open! Gate of the Unicorn, Monoceros!" I exclaimed, releasing the glistening arrow into the blue sky.

The sky boomed as the stars rained down from the sky.

Kiran kept his distance, not wanting to be hit by the falling stars.

The light from the stars formed into a horse-like creature with a horn sprouting out of its head.

Once the light disappeared, a pure white unicorn was left.

Their golden tinted horn stood on the unicorn's forehead as their mane fluttered with the light wind.

"Hello, Lu!" A voice exclaimed from the unicorn, neither male nor female.

"Hey, Mo," I greeted, getting into my battle stance. "We have 15 minutes to defeat Kiran before I have to move on."

"Alrighty," Monoceros replied, indicating his understanding. Monoceros immediately bent down, pointing their horn at Kiran as they exclaimed, "Rainbow 7!"

Monoceros waved his horn like a wand as 7 different colored streams spewed out of their horn. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet-colored streams soared through the air from Monoceros' horn.

The streams of color seemed to track Kiran as he tried dodging the attack. Kiran dodged the red, orange, yellow, and green colored streams, fading as it collides with the ground, but he was struck by the blue stream, causing Kiran to stumble.

Once Kiran was hit and thrown off his course, the indigo and violet beam struck him, pushing him back a few feet.

"Triple Radiance!" Kiran exclaimed as he dug his feet into the ground, extending his arms out to the side.

3 beams of light shot out of Kiran's body before spiraling together to form one large singular beam of light. In a rush, I quickly hopped on Monoceros' back before Monoceros dodged the beam of spiraling light.

Within a blink of an eye, I changed into my Sagittarius star dress as I rode of Monoceros' back.

"Star Shot!" I yelled, firing multiple bright arrows at my opponent.

"Light Deflection!" Kiran exclaimed as he held his palms out in front of him. A large faint shield appeared before him, diverting the arrows' direction away from him.

Monoceros dodged the few arrows that were shot back at us. Unfortunately, one of the arrows cut my lower right stomach.

"Crap," I hissed, moving my hand to the wound as I tried to focus my attention more on the battle instead of my wound.

"Are you okay Lu?" Monoceros asked with concern as they turned their head around slightly to look at me.

"I'll be alright," I assured. I ripped a long piece of fabric from my star dress, wrapping it around my stomach to prevent more blood to leave.

"I'm sorry!" Kiran apologized genuinely as he looks at me with worry. "I didn't mean it!"

"It's fine," I replied with the best smile I could pull. It's just a battle for the Grand Magic Games. I know he doesn't mean it.

Monoceros turned, digging their feet into the ground as we faced towards Kiran. "You hurt Lu!" Monoceros raged, scaring Kiran out of his socks.

"I said I'm sorry!" Kiran cried as Monoceros looked at him with anger.

"Uhhh... Mo... Calm down," I told Monoceros, but they wouldn't listen.

The pure white of Monoceros' coat drained, turning into black. Their mane's clear white color changed into pitch black. A skull horse head-like helm appeared on Monoceros' head with a bone unicorn horn sprouted from the top. On the forehead of the skull was a bright blood-red crystal. (Just imagine the fur and mane are darker and more of a black color)

"Uh oh," Kiran squeaked. Monoceros scraped their hoof, digging into the dirt as their mane whipped side to side.

"Mo..." I sighed, looking at the new-looking unicorn I sat on. "I said calm down."

"I'll be fine," Monoceros told me, their gaze staying on Kiran. "Can't say the same for him though."

"He said he was-" I began before I was cut off by Monoceros casting a spell.

"Black Scythe!" Monoceros exclaimed. A black scythe grew on their horn. Monoceros whipped their head, throwing the black scythe at Kiran.

The black scythe spun in the air as it flew towards the Meraki Parastin wizard.

"I said sorry!" Kiran cried, quickly dodging the deadly scythe.

Kiran jumped to the side, barely dodging the fast-moving scythe. The scythe soared into the trees behind Kiran. As the black scythe touched the living trees, they disintegrated into black dust.

"What the..." Kiran stared at awe as the black scythe disappeared. "What would happen if I wasn't able to dodge?"

"Mo, calm down," I said sternly as I sat on Monoceros' back. "Someone could get severely injured."

"It's not able to kill mortals..." Monoceros told me, trailing off. "Unfortunately."

"Phew," Kiran sighed before his eyes widened. "Wait, what would it do to me?"

"I dunno," Monoceros replied bluntly.

"Seriously?" Kiran's voice deepened. "And you still used that spell?!"

"Let's all calm down..." I reasoned but it seemed that no one was listening.

Kiran's whole demeanor changed, as well as his hair color and eye color. His grayish-black hair, dark red eyes, and darker clothes told me something. Mavra's here.
