"Someone's trying to stop the coronation," Cassandra speculated. "And with the scepter gone, I'm afraid we'll be powerless with what's to come. Even the constellations themselves will cower in fear."
Now:
"The scepter's missing?!" Leo yelled drastically, causing me to flinch. Though Leo is a flirt, he sure is scary.
We're currently seated in what Cassandra calls the 'Council Room'. Apparently, Aecronica has what they call the Divine Council, which is basically Aecronica's version of the Magic Council. This Divine Council consists of the zodiac constellations, the royal advisor (Cassandra), and the current ruler of Aecronica (I filled the position since I'm almost Aecronica's queen). We're all seated around a large conference table, me sitting at the head, while Cassandra and Leo sit at my sides. Callista and Plue weren't allowed into the room since it's for council members only.
We're discussing the matters of the missing coronation folder and the Scepter of Divinity, though I stayed quiet for most of the time. I felt I wasn't really of use at the moment since I don't know anything about this Scepter of Divinity nor Aecronica's gods. Because of my knowledge of the celestial zodiac spirits, it wasn't hard to tell which zodiac is which.
"You've really done it now, bimbo," Aquarius muttered, obviously irked. All the zodiac constellations are here, well most of their 'power personified' is or whatever. I still don't get that.
"Don't blame my child! She didn't get here till yesterday!" Momma Pisces digressed as she stood up from her chair and tackled me into a hug, trying to comfort me while also strangling me to death.
"Mom! Get a hold of yourself!" Pisces-kun groaned as he tore Momma Pisces from the death hug and brought her back to her chair, sitting on her right afterward.
"Can we all just calm down? We need to figure out how to fix this and quick. The coronation will happen as planned, whether or not we get the scepter back," Libra reasoned as she put her fingers on her temples and massaged it. I could tell she was quite frustrated, but it's good she's still being sensible. There's no way of ensuring that we get the scepter back.
"I agree. I know that there was a backup file that held all the coronation preparations, so that should take care of the missing folder," Capricorn commented as he nodded his head.
"What about the scepter?" Gemi, one of the Gemini twins, asked as he tilted his head.
"The power of that thing amazing," Mini, the other Gemini twin, chimed in, joining her brother in tilting her head.
"T-That is true. We might face great punishment from the gods," Aries stammered with her usually quiet voice.
"Punishment?" Virgo joined in, her eyes turning to stars. Of course. Not a single one of them has changed.
"I say we look for clues in Miss Lucy's office regarding the break-in. We might be able to find the culprit," Sagittarius suggested.
"That'll take toooo~ long!" Taurus exclaimed, casually mooing in the middle of his sentence.
"Or we just skip to the party and get a new hairdo," Cancer responded, his shades glimmering as he snipped his scissors.
"Awww yeah! This party's gonna be wicked!" Scorpio exclaimed, sticking his tongue out as he made a rock n' roll sign with both of his hands.
I sweatdropped as I saw Cassandra facepalm. "We can't just ignore the matter at hand! How are we supposed to-" Cassandra started but she was soon cut off by a loud, low pitched sound.
In the middle of the council room, a large cloud started to expand, getting bigger with each passing moment. "What's this I hear about you Aecronicans losing the Scepter of Divinity?!" A voice bellowed, shaking the room like a tiny earthquake. The large clouds started to glow, blinding all of us, making everyone avert their gaze.
The bright, blinding light soon subsided, making everyone return their gaze to the center. I couldn't believe my eyes. There stood 3 well-built men, all standing taller than 6 and a half feet. On my left stood a man wearing a himation, his left shoulder draped in a white cloth while his right shoulder and torso were bare, showing his golden tanned skin. Placed upon his long gray hair was half of an olive leaf crown, an opening showing his forehead. He had a long gray beard that matched the color of his hair, contrasting to his golden-yellow eyes that gave off an electric feeling.
In the middle was a dark-skinned man with the head of a hawk, though the head started to slowly morph into that of a regular man. On the man's head was a tall gold and blue crown while in the grasp of his hand was a golden spear-like staff. On his neck was a large, bold, thick gold and sapphire necklace that made me feel weighed down just by looking at it while he had nothing else on except for a tanned linen kilt. Both of his wrists were cuffed with large golden bracelets that matched the necklace he had on.
On my right was a pale man with a long white beard that reached to the middle of this torso. He was dressed down in shiny gold armor while on the shoulders of his armor were feathers that looked like wings. On his head was a golden Viking-like helmet with white pure wings sprouting from it. In his hand was a golden spear, looking as if it could kill someone in an instant, immediately making me feel nervous. Both of his wrists were cuffed with long golden bracelets that could fit his entire forearm and his left eye closed, a scar over the eye.
They all looked at me, instantly making me sweat, praying to the gods that I won't die today. "Zeus, king of the Greek gods! Amun-Ra, king of the Egyptian gods! Odin, king of the Norse gods!" Cassandra exclaimed, instantly falling to her knees, bowing. The zodiac immediately followed her lead but I didn't get the memo. I was too starstruck.
"I guess I'm praying to them that they don't kill me," I thought, sweat dripping from my forehead.
"So this is the little Heartfilia heir, hm?" The one on my right hummed. He had one eye, which to my knowledge, out of the 3 he's probably Odin, King of Norse Gods. I'm not stupid. I know a little bit about any religion's deities. Only the major ones.
"Well, isn't she a beaute!" The one on my left laughed. When he spoke, it was as if thunder roared, making me believe him to be Zeus, the Greek god of the sky and lightning.
"Focus on the task at hand shall we?" The one in the middle sighed. With the process of elimination, he would be Amun-Ra, King of Egyptian Gods.
"Oh, right, right. How could you lose the Scepter of Divinity?!" Zeus thundered, literally. Little thunderbolts started crashing down inside the council room, making papers start flying while some even caught on fire. Momma Pisces, Pisces-kun, and Aquarius were quick to put the fires out before it got out of hand then quickly went back to their places.
Everyone else was on the floor bowing while I stood there, mouth agape. Everyone, including me, was too speechless the say anything, forcing Cassandra to speak up. "W-We weren't aware someone broke in. We're truly sorry!" Cassandra squeaked. Even though I haven't known her for long, I didn't think it was possible for her to lose her confidence.
"Well I guess it can't be helped," Odin sighed, placing his pointer finger and thumb on the bridge of his nose.
"Unfortunately, with the scepter in the hand of someone else, the titans-" Amun-Ra was soon cut off by me.
"T-Titans?" I spoke up. My curiosity got the best of me.
"Centuries ago, my father, Kronos (or Cronus. They're both right), King of the Titans ruled the universe. He became power-hungry so when he heard that one of his children would overthrow him, he swallowed them whole," Zeus explained, the thunder dying down. "My mother was able to save me from being eaten, so when I grew older, I saved my siblings by making Kronos throw them back up. This lead to the Titanomachy, the war between the Titans and the Gods."
"I've heard about that before! The Gods won," I commented, making Zeus sigh.
"It wasn't easy. The Greek Gods required more help than we thought," Zeus confessed.
"He requested the help from the Egyptian Gods and the Norse Gods," Amun-Ra added. "Though, even with our help, the gruesome war continued."
"That's when you Aecronicans come in," Odin continued. "Aecronicans were once just a group of 1000 or so mere mortals. But even so, they played a big part in the war. Especially the Heartfilia family."
"Huh? What do you mean?" I questioned as the zodiac, as well as Cassandra, stood up.
"The Heartfilia family was a family of the first-ever magic users. At that time of the Titanomachy, only around 10000 magic users existed in the whole universe. Only 100 resided in Earthland, where some Titans and Gods fought," Callista explained.
"The Heartfilia family was the reason we won the war," Zeus gazed at me with a softened expression. "The Gods of Greece, Egypt, and the Nordic Countries will forever be grateful, which is why we blessed the Heartfilia bloodline. As long as the universe still exists, the Heartfilia family will forever receive this blessing."
"B-Blessing? What blessing?" I questioned. I have a feeling that I wasn't supposed to be learning all of this until later...
"You, Lucy Heartfilia, come from a long line of Titan Slayers," Amun-Ra explained as he smiled. But that smile soon turned into a grim expression. "And I have a feeling that you will soon have to put those powers to use."
"The Titans will awaken?!" Ophiuchus exclaimed as she smacked her hands onto the table, making a loud noise to cause me to flinch once again. She was in a human form, kind of like the eclipse Ophiuchus without the nurse outfit. She's been awfully quiet until now. "How much power does that scepter have?!"
"The scepter is the key to the Titans wake. We gave to the Heartfilia family for safekeeping because keeping it with the Gods would be too obvious. We then hid the humans, along with the Heartfilia family, that were still alive from the war here in Aecronica, deeming them Aecronicans and gracing them by turning them into angels," Odin explained. "With the scepter gone, I'm afraid that this generation's ruler won't be able to stop the inevitable awakening."
"Great." I thought to myself. "I'm even more useless now. But now the cost is world destruction."
"Perhaps there is a way to fight the Titans?" Virgo suggested, earning the Gods shaking heads.
"I don't think so," Amun-Ra sighed, the grip on his staff tightening.
"But the Heartfilia bloodline has since grown even more powerful," Zeus pointed out. "And with a certain blessing and some training, she could take down the Titans."
"A b-blessing?" I stuttered. The fate of the Titan's wake rests on my shoulders. That's too much for me to handle.
"Zeus may have a point," Odin agreed as Amun-Ra nodded his head.
"May I ask what you're talking about?" Capricorn interjected.
"By giving Lucy Heartfilia this blessing, she will become the most powerful Titan Slayer of her bloodline," Amun-Ra explained. "I say we do it."
"What blessing?" I asked, glancing down as I fidgeted nervously with my fingers.
"Lucy Heartfilia." I look up, seeing all eyes on me, just making me even more nervous. I see Zeus mumbling something as I speak to the other Gods.
Zeus mumbled as his eyes were closed. I had no idea what he was saying. I just had to guess it was in Greek.
"With this blessing, you will be able to use god soul and summon any god in Greek, Egyptian, and Norse mythology," Amun-Ra told me.
"Now wait a minute-" I began.
"Too late," Odin chuckled.
"ฮตฯฮนฯฯฮญฯฯฮต ฯฯฮนฯ ฮนฮตฯฮญฯ ฮธฮตฯฯฮทฯฮตฯ ฮฝฮฑ ฮฒฮฟฮทฮธฮฎฯฮฟฯ
