"I think I got an answer to your question."

2 Weeks have passed, since Airi had asked her sister for advice, but still the question hasn't been answered. It's the first time Airi started thinking about her feelings. In the past, it was just some kind of »he looks fun, let's give it a shot« and that resolves with Airi breaking their hearts unintentionally. Maybe not really unintentionally, she sometimes did have fun playing with people feelings, but not always.

"Are you still struggling with that stupid question?", Kenji sighed. "It's not a stupid question! It is actually a very good question now that I think of it..", Airi pouted. "Well if you're really dead serious about that question, Sugawara must be special to you in some way, maybe just a little bit but special is special..", Mary smiled "It's not like every guy makes her think that hard..", Kara grinned. The rest of the group nicked approvingly.

"Oh talking about Sugawara, I heard the Volleyball team is getting better this year, they won 2 games in in the tournament already. If y'all are free, we can go watch their 3rd game today. I wanted to check out that setter in the other team anyway.", Mary suggested. "You mean that Oikawa guy?", Kara asked. "Yeah right! Him!", Mary said. "I can come, I don't have practice today.", Kenji said.

Airi of course was joining but Kara and Ritsuki were busy. "Okay, it's just the three of us then.", Mary said. Airi nodded and shortly after, the bell rang and they all went back to their classes.

"It's here?", Airi asked as they were standing infront of the Sendai City Gymnasium. "Yup. The game is about to start, lets head inside!", Mary smiled.

They found a seat and say down, whil watching the players warm up. "Are they even good?", Kenji asked pretty unfazed. "From what I've heard, they are getting better since the new first years joined.", Mary explained. "What about Sugawara?", Airi asked full with excitement. "Oh..he is um apparently he's not one of the regular players..", Mary sighed. "He isn't!?", Airis excitement dropped to the bottom.

The game started and all Mary could talk about is the setter from the other team. "He is so good and so handsome!", Mary squeaked for the 7th time during the match.

During the 3rd and last set, you could practically feel the tension everywhere. The whole time, Airis eyes were on Sugawara, she just couldn't concentrate on the game. There was only one thing and one thing only in her head. Sugawara.

The Match ended with Aoba Johsai winning 33 - 31. The three of them stood up and Mary went down to the fields, to ask for Oikawas number, while Airi and Kenji were waiting for her at the exit.

"Sugawara looked so cute. Oh and did you see when he was playing! He looked so good!", Airi said. "You've been talking about him and only him for the past two week. Don't you get tired of that?", Kenji laughed at her. "It's not like you didn't talk about Kara 24/7 before you two got together.", Airi said, rolling her eyes.

"Shut up! But you know what..it's really weird seeing you fangirling over some guy..you don't usually do that.", Kenji brought up. "Yeah I know..it really feels weird..I don't know why I'm doing that tho..", Airi responded sighing. "Maybe you really like him..but it's like a crush like kind of thing..you know what I mean?", Kenji asked. "Yeah I know but I'm not sure..", Airi replied.

Seconds later, Mary came out, holding her phone up proudly. "I got the number! And he asked me to go out some time!", Mary grinned. Airi and Kenji gave her an unfazed applause, cause they kind of already knew that she would get the number.

They were having a good laugh about that, when the Karasuno team walked pass them. "They look so devastated..", Airi said upon seeing them. "It was a good game though.".

The next day at school, it was lunchtime again. "Guys fuck myself I forgot my lunch!", Airi cried, seeing her empty lunch bag. "Oh you poor thing. We'll share with you!", Kara smiled and patted Airis head. "I love you Kara I want you wife you up!", Airi jokingly said, whereupon she almost got pushed off of her seat by Kenji. They all had a laugh about it, before Airi stood up and went to the vending machine.

"Hmm...I'm feeling like strawberry milk today!", Airi spoke to herself and pressed on the button for the strawberry milk. She grabbed her drink and that's when she heard a sob. She looked to the direction it came from and saw someone familiar.

It was no one other than the boy who's making her loosing her mind. He was leaning against the wall with his back and buried his face into his hands. The girl slowly walked into his direction and stopped right in front of him.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?", she asked carefully. "Yeah..it's nothing.", the grey haired boy answered quickly, before wiping his tear away.

Airi took out a pack of tissues and handed it to him. Sugawara just looked at her, confused. "Is it about the game yesterday?", she asked. "How do you know?", his eyes lit up. "I was there, silly. You guys played good.", Airi smiled.

After a short moment of silence he spoke. "We still lost though..", he sighed while tears were filling up his eyes again. "Yeah I saw that but you know..it's not always about winning. You guys really played well, and you should be proud of that. Alright?"

Sugawara looked at Airi. He was staring into her eyes and after a few seconds he nodded. But not even a few seconds later, tears filled up his eyes once again. "Hey hey! I thought you're good now. What do you need? A hug or what? You want a hug? Or do you want something to drink? Please don't cry! Crying people annoy me!", Airi said overwhelmed.

Immediately after she was done speaking, Sugawara bend down and buried his head into one of her shoulders, he then wrapped his Arm around her waist and they were just standing there.

The moment he touched her, she felt like she was on cloud nine. It felt like she hand hundreds and thousands of butterflies inside her stomach and her world was filled with flowers and clouds.

She has never felt something like that before. And that was the moment she realized that she has the Answer. The Answer she has been looking for, for weeks.

Quietly, she just put one of her hands onto his head and brushed through his soft grey hair. "It's alright. You guys will win in the next tournament!", she spoke in a calming tone

Sugawara slowly pulled away and just looked at the girl standing infront of him. "Sorry about that. I just really needed it..", he sighed with a slightly ashamed tone. "It's alright.. Oh and also"

"You smell like cinnamon rolls, my favorite dessert!", she whispered into his ear before she pulled away.

The girl walked away and turned around once again and blew him a kiss, leaving Sugawara there, speechless.

"So he just hugged you!? Just out of a sudden??", Kara asked in complete shock after hearing what Airi just told her. "Yes! I was so confused in the beginning!", Airi said. "But was it good? Like how did it feel?"

Airi had to think about it for quite a while. "Hm..yes. It felt good. Actually it felt great. It was like I had butterflies in my stomach..", she replied. "Oh that's something new-", Kara started her sentence but their conversation was interrupted by the teacher who walked into the classroom.

Kara went back to her seat and Airi placed her English books onto her desk. The teacher started talking but Airi couldn't listen. All she could think about was Sugawara.

"Why would he hug me? He said he wasn't interested..and now?", she quietly spoke to herself.

The bell rang and everyone packed up to go home, so does Airi. She said good bye to Kara and a few of her other classmates, before heading to the stairs.

She got home in no time, threw her bag onto her bed and barged into her sisters room. Aoi, who was doing some college work nearly fell of her chair in shock.

"Learn how to knock you idiot!", Aoi screamed at her sister who was just standing there, totally out of breath.

"I think I got an answer to your question. I like him. I really really like him. I want to be with him because I have feelings for him. Real feelings!"

Chapter 4! I KNOW THE HUG WAS SO RANDOM but like I had to move forward with the plot 😭😭 I planned on writing like 10-13 chapters and I've already wrote the ending so like I had to push the plot forward!!
