A piece of advice

When Airi arrived back home, she couldn't stop thinking about what Sugawara had said. "Is my personality that bad?", she murmured to herself, while she was munching on her dinner.

"What is it Airi? Did you get rejected?", her older sister Aoi asked teasingly. "Shut up Aoi..", the defeated girl replied.

After dinner, Airi took a shower and sat down on her bed, still thinking about what Sugawara said. She grabbed her phone and searched Karas contact.

»Hello? Airi?«

»Do I have a bad personality?«

»I don't think so? Where'd you get that from?«

»Sugawara.«

»That stupid fuck rejected you?«

»Kind of. He said "You're beautiful, but for me it's about personality«

»You'll find a new one, forget about him. He's an average guy. You know if you want a Volleyball player, there's a guy at an other school. He's super popular and soo good-looking«

»But Kara, I really want that Sugawara guy. I don't know but I there's something special about him.«

»Really? It's the first time you're putting effort into a guy. It's also the first time that someone doesn't like you back..«

»I know It's weird right?«

»Yeah, it is..«

»Okay whatever. I'll go to bed now. Good night Kara.. oh and say hello to Hitoka - chan. «

»Alright, I will. Good night.«

Airi putted her phone on her bedside table and drifted away into dreamland.

The next day arrived in no time.

"Morning Kara..", Airi said, upon seeing her friend walking into the classroom. "Are you still sad about Sugawara.", her friend asked with a following sigh.
"Am I? I don't know. Maybe I am. But why?", she replied in a defeated tone. "I'm pretty sure you are..", Kara said. "We'll talk about it at lunch."

Classes went by as slow as possible but finally, lunchtime came.
Kara and Airi went into the cafeteria hand in hand and sat down at the table where their 3 friends were waiting.

"Is everything alright, Airi?", Mary asked after seeing the unusual mood of Airi. Kara explained the situation and everyone looked at Airi, expecting her to say something.

"I have to make him like me, at any cost."

Eyes wide open, everyone stared at her like it was the end of the world.
"What!? Does that sound stupid or what?", Airi sighed. "No but..it sounds surreal..", Mary giggled.
"It's not funny! I'm literally almost crying about a guy. I'm not crying yet but almost! And I've known about his existence since like yesterday! What is happening..", the girl said.

"Okay I think she serious about that Sugawara dude.", Kenji sighed. "Yeah she totally is..but he's like very average. I mean he's cute but he's not the new hot shot..", Mary sighed. "I know right?", Kara said. "You never know what's going on in her brain.", Ritsuki said, pointing at Airi who was staring at the sealing.

After they finished lunch, the girls were standing in the hallway and just talking. That's when the "weird nerd girl" walked passed the three of them. She didn't look best, her hair was greasy and messy, her teeth were yellow and her face was oily.

"Ew guys look at her..", Mary whispered. "I know right? She looks so bad..", Kara giggled. "I talked to her once and her breath was so bad, like girl please brush your teeth!", Airi grinned.

Her smile disappeared as she turned around and saw Sugawara standing near her with his two friends. He glanced at her with a disappointed look before turning away and slowly shaking his head.

Airi slowly started to understand, why he said that about her personality. The things she just said weren't nice. "Are you okay Ai-chan?", Mary asked. "What? Oh yeah! Totally!"

In the evening, she thought about what happened in the hallway. About her bad habit of gossiping about others. First step to make Sugawara fall for her, was to change her attitude and stop bad mouthing people.

She thought about asking someone for advice. But who could help? Definitely not Kara or Mary, they're just like her.

She jumped out of her bed and barged into her older sister Aoi's room. "Woah calm down. Why so rushed?", Aoi said almost falling off her bed.

Airi took a deep breath and spoke.
"I need you to help me. With a guy at school."

"You need me to help you? With a guy?", Aoi asked to be sure. "Yes. You heard me right..", Airi responded with a following sigh. "Alright what is it. It must be really bad if you come to ask me for advice..", Aoi grinned.

"Alright so basically I got rejected because that guy didn't like my personality. Because I'm always talking shit about people I guess. But I really want him.", Airi explained. "Okay so I kinda know where he's coming from. I will give you a few advices but to really change your personality, it takes time. You can't do that in a day. You really have to change the perspective you're looking at people.

"So first of all. Try not to gossip. If someone walks past you and you don't like the way they look, don't say it out loud. That's the least you can do. Try to see the positive things in others. When someone has greasy hair, then look at their eyes, maybe they have beautiful eyes? And also, try not to look down on people. I know you're the star of the school, the most popular girl but that doesn't mean others are less worthy alright?"

"Yeah..okay I get it. I'll try.." Airi said unsure.

"But most important, do you want to change for him because you like him or because your ego doesn't allow you to loose?"

Airi was left speechless. The room was silent, you could hear a pin drop. "I don't know Aoi..", the girl murmured. "That's what I thought. You're special in your own way Airi, it's the mean things about you which makes you you, and changing that special point about you for a guy you don't genuinely care about, it's not worth it. Keep the advices I gave you but if you want me to really help you out than you have to answer that question first. Go find out what you're feeling for him.", her older sister smiled.

"Thank you Aoi! I will think about it!", Airi said.
Her sister made her mood so much better. She ran back to her room and threw herself on the bed.

"Maybe I do have real feelings for him"

Chapter 3!!
It took me less time than I expected and I'm so glad that I could bring this chapter out in such short time. But problem is, the weekend is over, school is starting and the exams are coming  (｡•́︿•̀｡)
The next chapter will probably be a bit shorter, and I think it might take about a week or like five days
