Scott, and Ava are sitting on the hood of the Jeep at Lookout Point, watching the sky. Stiles has a map of the greater San Francisco region spread out on the hood of the Jeep next to Scott and is marking potential places to live for their upcoming freshman year of college "All right, so I found some cool two bedrooms in the Mission District, but they're pretty expensive. A couple in Haight and Ashbury, also expensive..." Stiles said.
"What about Berkeley? Don't a lot of students live around there?" Scott asked."Yeah, yeah, we could try Knob Hill. But, the Jeep would probably burn through a lot of clutches." Stiles said.
"You're bringing the Jeep?" Ava asked and Stiles sighed.
"You know the plan, okay? No one gets left behind. That's the plan. Lydia is not gonna have a problem getting into Stanford. Ava going to the Royal College of Art. Kira's thinking USF. Malia's...uh...gonna, you know, she'll figure something out, okay. The plan's perfect." Stiles explained.
"Or you could also wait until we actually get into college and then figure out where to live," Ava suggested.
"I have a vision, dudes. Okay? And it is a beautiful vision. Don't ruin the vision. Okay, we can check out the East Bay. Haven't looked at Oakland yet, you know. You're all right? You're starting to feel it?" Stiles asked Ava and Scott.
"No," Scott answered. "Just thinking."
"About what?" Ava asked and Scott sighed.
"Senior year."
"Senior year, come on, that's, that's... That's nothing. That's going to be easy." Stiles stuttered.
"It's more like something Deaton told me once. Have you ever heard of 'regression to the mean?'" Scott asked.
"No, I don't think so," Stiles answered while Ava nodded.
"It was his way of saying that life can't ever be all bad or all good. You know, eventually, things have to come back to the middle. So, think about the last few months. Things have been good, right? But not amazing." Ava explained and Scott nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, but no one's tried to kill us in six months either." Stiles reminded.
"Right. We've been pretty much in the middle for a while... This means, at some point, the scale has to tip one way or the other. Things are gonna get good again..."
"Or bad," Stiles said sadly. A storm quickly gathers overhead, and lightning arcs through the sky. "Think it's been long enough?"
"Yes!" Liam shouted. Behind them is Liam chained to a tree, the whole time.
"Hey. Trying to have an adult conversation over here." Stiles said making Ava and Liam roll their eyes.
"All right, we're two years older than him," Ava reminded Stiles.
"I'm fine. Just let me go." Liam reassured them.
"It's not that we don't trust you--" Scott started to defend.
"--It's that I don't trust you." Stiles interrupted receiving a slap upside his head from Ava.
"But after that last full moon..." Scott said making Liam sigh.
"It was one slip-up!" Liam defended.
"A slip-up?" Stiles asked exasperatedly. "A dozen calls to the Sheriff's department about a monstrous dog boy running around the streets of Beacon Hills??? Naked???"
"Why were you naked?" Scott asked.
Liam looked down sheepishly. "It was really hot out that night, okay? Let me go!"
"You sure you're okay?" Ava asked worriedly.
"It won't happen again." Liam nodded and Scott raised his eyebrows.
"You're in complete and total control," Scott asked.
"Yeah. Complete and total." Liam said unsurely and the alpha walked towards the reaper and human. Liam opened his hand revealing crest-shaped marks from where his claws dug into his palms.
"I won't tell him," Ava said as Liam looked up at her.
After a few minutes, they were all in the jeep on the way to the hospital before school. Scott and Stiles sat in the front while Ava and Liam sat in the back. Liam leant forward between the front seats. "Is it a party?" Liam asked.
"It's not a party," Stiles answered annoyed slightly.
"Then what's at midnight?" Liam asked.
"Your bedtime," Stiles replied making Liam roll his eyes and the girls chuckle.
"Why aren't the girls going?" Lam asked making the Werecoyote scoff. He ignored her.
"They're meeting us there, okay? And just stop asking questions, all right? It's a senior thing. You'll know when you're a senior." Stiles replied and also ignored them.
"You guys having trouble with your phones?" Ava asked after she brought out her phone to text Malia telling her they were on their way.
"Oh, what the hell?" Stiles sighed as the engine started spluttering.
"You out of gas?" Liam asked.
"No, it's electrical. Probably the alternator again." Stiles replied.
All of a sudden, lightning strikes the ground about thirty feet away making the supernatural look out the back window. "Guys...Guys!"
"Yeah, give us a second, please..." Stiles said.
"Liam, stay in the car, okay?" Scott mothered.
"Idiots!" Ava shouted as another struck but even closer gaining Scott and Stiles' attention.
"...That was close," Scott commented.
"Very close," Stiles said.
"You think?" Ava said.
"Can we go now?" Liam asked.
A few minutes later, Stiles pulled up to where he told Malia we were meeting them. "Sorry, we're late! Hey!" Stiles said as Malia ran up to her boyfriend and kissed him.
When they pulled away, Liam leaned forward with a weird smirk. "I'm sorry, too." Ava chuckled pulling Liam back by his hoodie.
"You boys do remember I own a gun, right?" Mr Tate asked making Stiles' eyes widen.
"Vividly."
"...What?"
A few minutes later, Malia climbed in and sat on the end making Liam sit in the middle. Everyone then turned to Malia. "Did you find out yet?" Ava asked.
"Find out what?" Liam asked.
"They're gonna email me," Malia said nodding.
"Is this about summer school?" Liam asked making Ava's eyes widen and pinch her nose sighing while Malia looked at Stiles.
"You told him?" Malia asked.
"Oh, no! All they said was you had to go to summer school 'cause the principal said your test scores weren't good enough and you might have to repeat Jun-" Liam started but was cut off but Ava covered his mouth with her hand.
"We should have left him chained to the tree." Stiles sighed.

The Tate twins were at the front of the hospital talking to Melissa as Scott and Stiles walked up to them. "Malia, if you were going away, and I told you "Don't worry, go have fun," what would you think I was talking about?" Stiles asked making them look at them.
"Fun like bowling? Or sex with other guys?" Ava asked making the group look to her surprise.
"Okay, yeah... Now, I'm worried." Scott commented.
A few moments later a paramedic rolled past them with a gurney. "Hey, Mom? Where's all this coming from?" Scott asked.
"A jackknifed tractor-trailer on 115-- caused a major pile-up," Melissa answered making Ava's eyes widen.
"There's only one way back into Beacon Hills from the airport! 115!" Ava said and Scott's eyes widened. "Kira's never gonna make it..."
"I can get her. You guys head to the school. Lydia's probably already there. We'll meet you by midnight." Scott said as he made his way towards the exit.
"How are you gonna get to her in the middle of a traffic jam?" Ava asked.
Scott turned back to them nodding. "We'll make it. Trust me."

"Dispatch... Officer... Officer down." Sheriff Stilinski said over the radio as Jordan was injured and possibly dying.
Behind Stilinski, Jordan saw Ava even though he knew Ava was at her senior scribe. "Jordan?" Ava whispered, cupping his face. "I'm here. I'm right here. Stay with me."
"Parrish? Parrish?" Stilinski kept repeating in hopes of a response.
"Ava?" Jordan whispered.
"Okay, okay, easy, easy..." Stilinski commanded.

"Nothing from Scott or Kira." Malia sighed.
"And nothing from Lydia, either." Ava sighed.
"And I still don't know if I passed. I don't want to do this unless I'm a senior." Malia said, referring to the Senior Scribe.
"Mal, I know you'll pass," Ava said before walking away trying to call Jordan.
"Jordan? Call me. Something feels off with you." Ava said leaving a message. "Call me!"
When she pocketed her phone, she heard the sounds of feet, fast feet. "Someone's coming. Someone fast." When someone suddenly grabbed her shoulder, her first instinct was to twist their arm and kick their feet out from under them and that's what she did.
"It's me! It's me!" Liam yelled making Ava sigh and hold out a hand. "Liam, I thought you learned not to sneak up on me."
"Yeah, I had," Liam said before turning serious. "But Scott's in trouble."
The four followed Liam until they reached the tunnel that connected the school with the field to see Scott on his knees. Scott was on his knees with the guy in front of him claw's in his chest. Ava went to help when Allison pulled her back nodding knowing Scott had this.
Scott grabbed the man's wrist before looking up at him with his alpha-red eyes. Slowly, he stood up showing strength and making the man look shocked. Scott grabbed the dude's arm before snapping it which made the man fall to his knees and groan.
"I don't know who you are, or what you thought you were going to do, but I'll give you a choice. You can stay, and I'll break something else... Or you can run." Scott said and the man looked at everyone.
"I'd run." Ava and Stiles said together.
Instantly the man got up and ran out of the tunnel and the rest of the pack walked over to Scott and Kira. When they got to them, they noticed the extra person and Ava felt something familiar.
"You don't remember me, do you?" He asked looking at Scott and Stiles who looked confused. "I guess I look a little different since the fourth grade."
Realisation crossed Scott's face. "Theo?" Scott asked eyes widened.
"You know him?" Malia asked.
"They used to. Trust me, I never thought I'd see you guys again. A couple of months ago, I heard of an Alpha in Beacon Hills. When I found out his name was Scott McCall, I just couldn't believe it. Not just an Alpha, but a True Alpha." Theo said.
"What do you want?" Ava asked and Theo smiled at Scott.
"I came back to Beacon Hills-- back home with my family-- because I want to be a part of your pack," Theo said and Stiles had sceptical look.

"We haven't seen this kid in years-- you don't find that highly suspicious?" Stiles asked Scott.
"I'm kind of more concerned about the guy who just tried to kill me," Scott responded and then Malia's phone bussed making them all turn to her.
"I'm in!" Malia cheered making Ava race over to her and hug her. "I passed. I'm officially a senior."
"Thank God!" Lydia called making them turn to her. "Where have you guys been? The whole senior class is here! Are we doing this or not?"
Lydia linked arms with Ava and the pack started walking towards the library where the Senior Scribe was happening.
Stiles was the first to write his initial next to Derek's and handed the pen to Lydia. "This isn't vandalism, is it?" Kira asked looking at Lydia as she handed the pen to her.
"...Not technically," Lydia answered before walking away, then Kira.
Malia wrote an "M" before hesitating and then writing "T". She turned to Ava who smiled at her and Malia passed the pen to her. Ava wrote "AH" in curly cursive. She passed the pen to Scott who wrote his initials and "IL". Scott smiled as Ava then took the pen and wrote, "VB", "ER", "ES", "AA" and "AS".
"They would have been with us," Stiles said after Ava walked to them.
"Yeah..." Scott said sadly.
"They still are," Lydia said smiling.
