Soon-hee's first day at the dorms was dull and uninteresting. The truth is that she was awaitihg for Minghao's arrival until late night.
She lost all her intrest at doing things as every aspect of the time seemed endless for a bizarre reason.
She tried to read some books, listen to some music, to even exercise but got bored of all these activities way too easily. Slowly she started getting mad at her best friend, that obviously forgot about her.
She laid to her bed like she was waiting for death to occupy her body at 11. Her eyelids seemed heavy but when she was ready to drift off, a loud bang on the door was audible.
"Soonie... It's mw!" He said and Soon-hee's blood started boiling.
She jumps off the bed but before she actually opens the door she exhales, trying to calm her temper down a little. Finally, she let the tall boy in.
"Hi!" He enthusiastically said but Soon-hee just rolled her eyes and walked towards her bed.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asks perplexed because of her witty attitude.
"I don't know, Am I?" She sarcastically retorts laying down on her bed. Minghao sits 3 inches away from her, staring at her eyes.
"I know You are mad because I am late... I am sorry!" He had those puppy eyes in his attempt to be forgiven but the girl was not even close to feel any better.
"Are you hiding something?" She observed his first reaction. The boy blushed and got up from his bed to go to his.
"What? No... Like what?" He scratched the back of his head and then tried to take off his shoes awkwardly.
"Cause lately I am so out of your life and You don't even give me attention..." She complained and they boy giggled.
"Oh... My little friend wants my attentionnnn... Should I pet you..." He teased her getting up to tickle her tummy. She slapped his hand and he got the memo right away.
"I-I guess that means... No..." He sat back again, laying onto his bed.
"Tell me... What are you hiding?" She was persistent over the specific topic driving Minhao crazy. He indeed was being secretative about something.
"Okay It's true I am hiding something but... I promise It's not the time to tell you this... I need some time to develop some things..." He explained giving the girl food for thought.
What did he mean? What does he want to develop? The girl scoffed and jumped up away from the girl.
"Where are you going?" He asks staring at her back approaching the door. She wore her shoes before answering.
"I am giving you the time you asked..." She barely whispered with her one hand on the doorknob.
"You don't have to leave!" He sits on his bed ready to follow her. "I want to buy some Ice cream...!" She announced slowly opening the door. "Do you want me to come with you?" He asked although he was frazzled today.
"No... I wanna be alone... Can I take the keys? I dont wanna wake you up when I am back..." Minghao giggled staring at his best friend standing on the huge door.
He got up approaching the desk which had three drawers. He opened the first one to take some keys off.
"I made you spare keys... Here..." He threw them at her and she caught them.
"See you..." She said closing the door in her way out.
The night was a special kind of blackness, the kind that wants only to hold the stars and help them to shine all the brighter. It was a warm black that hugged her no matter what, and within it's safety she could feel her own soul all the more clearly, that innocent inborn spark.
All her thoughts were full of her brother, Minghao and the new life she had to cope with from today.
She decided to walk out the gates of the college and take a night stroll around. The truth is she never felt that lonely, while string at the pitch black sky with tiny stars.
She indeed was lonely for a while.
"Why so depressed Lola?" She heard a voice right next to her and slowly titled around to notice Jisoo.
"Are you spying on me, Lately you are everywhere..." She scoffs, tugging her hands inside her pockets.
"I don't know...Maybe its because we are meant to be together..." He said and Soon-hee flinched. She turned around with a permanent red colour on her cheek.
"I was joking Lola..." He chuckled trying to restrain himself but actually failing.
"Are you blushing though?" he asked pointing at her cheeks ready to explode. What is wrong with her? Why did she feel attack with this comment Joshua made.
"N-No..." She said and started walking faster. Joshua ran behind of her and grabbed her wrist, titling around and fixating his eyes in hers.
"Hey! What's wrong... I made a bad joke and you didn't even call me Broomstick, or even Mop head... or useless..." He pointed out and the girl crossed her arms in disbelief.
"Nothing..." She said trying to restrain herself from crying. The truth is today was a hard day for her.
"Do you like Ice cream?" He actually knew what she was craving for without even trying to know.
"Y-Yes..." she stuttered and Joshua grabbed her wrist. With a fast pace he was roaming down the soulless road. "Where are we going?" She asks surprised.
"To ride a horse!" Jisoo retorts sarcastically and the girl narrows her eyebrows.
"Where do you think we are going Lola?" He didn't minimized his steps until they stopped right outside a convenient store.
"What flavor...?" He said right outside the place. "I can come in!" She said trying to pass him by. "You seem like a vanilla type!" He announced and the girl giggked
"I actually am!"
"Bingo! Wait..." He said and averted her from entering. He bought the ice creams and walked out sharing the one with the girl.
"It's my treat!" He giggled and the girl bowed. "Well, Thanks..."
"Okay Whats wrong...? Something must be wrong! You are so friendly and polite. What is it?" He asked licking his ice cream.
"I-..." She looked down.
"You what?" He asks staring deeply into her eyes.
"I am not okay..." She whispered and the boy licked his lips perplexed. "Yeah I already know that... Can I know why?" He asked deeply concerend over the girl although she didn't know his motives.
"Well, first my brother... And now Minghao... He doesn't even know but still..." She was hitting around the bush and finally licked her uce cream.
"What did Minghao do?" He asked scratching the back of his head bewildered.
"Well, He has been neglecting me lately. I even spent my first day in the dorms alone!" She said being sad because of the not so fairly treatment.
"Yo and why didn't you call me? I could keep you some company!" The boy claimed.
"Cause as we both know I dont like you... And also... I Don't have your number..."
"We should definitely fix that!"
"Huh?"
"Tell me your number!" The boy took his phone out ready to type Soon-hee's number.
"What do I win if I give my number to you?" She teased him and he winked.
"Well, me..."
That made Soon-hee a bit uncomfortable staring at his body.
"I am joking... Just tell me your number!"
Soon-hee obeyed to this order and Joshua led her into a bench inside the woods, right next to a cliff.
"Did you bring me here to kill me or something?" She laughed while sitting on the bench. The boy sat next to her staring at the dark blue sky.
"No... I brought you here cause it's your first day in the dorms and it wouldn't be nice to spend it in your room!"
"Are you petting me?"
"When did I say that?" He sat back comfortably. The girl just looked at her front avoiding him for some minutes. She was too busy staring at the wide black with stars all around.
"It's beautiful..." Soon-hee said staring at the sky while Joshua was staring at her secretely.
"Are you a little better?" He asks and the girl slowly turns around.
"You know, you are different..." She announces staring at him. He didn't get the meaning behind this sentence.
"Different bad, different good?" With a smile she was captured by his eyes.
"Different... Just different..." She said and the boy giggled. "Are you flirting with me?" Joshua teased her and Soon-hee snorted.
"As if!" She retorted almost inside of her but Joshua heard it.
"C'mon... Nobody can resist when it comes to me!" Jisoo continued teasing her, a fact that was making her angry deep down.
"Oh I can!" She winked almost in a playful way and Jisoo giggled. "Should we bring this to a test?" He smiled and Soon-hee narrowed her eyebrows.
"No..."
"Why? Are you afraid that you might won't be able to resist?" He almost claimed making Soon-hee to titl her whole body posture to have a clearer view of him.
"What test...?"
"Let me kiss you..." He said and the girls flinched in shock. Did she heard right?
"W-what?" She immediatly looked at his luscious lips. Did she think of saying yes to him?
"On the cheek!" He winked at her, taking out of the awkward position. "So what? Will that prove something?" She gulped trying to avoid it just to avoid the heart attack.
"If you are so sure of yourself why dont you let me do it then..." He smiled bigger than before. Soon-hee was not gonna give him the satisfaction of the winner.
"Kiss me..." She said waiting for Jisoo to make the first move.
"S-seriously?" He asked almost surprised.
"Yes? Are you afraid that you are the one who can't resist after all?" She teased him putting him on the spot this time.
He slowly scouted closer, with his one hand right behind of her. It was going to happen. Her heart was beating like the hands of the clock but only faster.
His face was mysterious but as it was leaning closer, all the homely features captured her. He was leaning closer as his lips were approaching hers.
What's happening? This slow pave was intensifying the anticipation. For a peculiar reason she wanted to kiss him as well. Slowly her eyes closed not knowing what she should do. Jisoo giggled staring at her face, when she was about to surrender to him. He slowly approached the spot right next of her lips and placed his lips there.
He almost sucked this spot, leading Soon-hee to melt on her seat. She felt butterflies on her stomach. Why is that? Why did she feel electrified with his lips on her skin?
His lips... were soft... so soft... almost like the pillow she is laying her head on, every night.
She didn't want this moment to end.
Why?
Oh no...
She... She was falling for Hong Jisoo, and she realized it as soon as Joshua broke the contact between his lips and her cheek.
Her doe eyes flinch as soon as she stares at his. He was smiling...
"You liked it, didn't you?" He said proud of himself to make her fall so easily. Y/n gulps before answering.
"What? Of course not..." She lied so easily for a weird reason. She needed to hide her feelings. Joshua doesn't have to know! He will never know. She will hide it from him until she gets over it.
I mean... She was sure he was just playing around.
"Soon-hee..." He said staring at her lips.
"W-what?"
"You are blushing..." His voice was warm sending shivers down her spine. Dammit! Her red cheeks betrayed her.
"I have to leave!" She got up from the bench. She needed to run away. As soon as she realized her feelings she wanted to disappear.
"I can walk you to your room!"
"U-um... No... No... Its fine... Um... I need to meet someone... before that!" She giggles.
"Oh... Who?" He asked perplexed.
"My... My boyfriend!" She lied just to hide her feelings for a little longer. She needed to hide this. He should never know. Joshua's expression changed at first but then he nodded.
"O-okay... See you tomorrow..." He tried to hide the insecurity in the tone of his voice and let her go.
