MUZAN'S POV ⋆。°✩
The slayer I just picked up and turned into a demon is cute. I've been watching him wither with my cells spreading into him for 2 and a half days now- he's bound to wake soon. He seemingly has more peace now, compared to the other days. However, I'm not sure how aware he is... his six eyes are open, darting around, but I don't believe he's actively using them.
I've watched the transformations of a few promising demons before, but they were never so long. Or gruesome. Or... appealing. Seeing the way he's coming into his demonhood is so inciting, for some reason. Is this just sadism on my end? I suppose. But the 'symptoms' he's experiencing are truly unique for demons, yet strikingly similar to something else...
At first, he experienced a high fever. It makes me glad that I brought him to my abode first- if I had given him my blood on that rooftop he wouldn't have made it home before it started to get to him. Then, his fingers and toes greyed, giving me a preview of the demonic shade of grey that made him look like porcelain. This made me notice he had a few freckles, which made his skin resemble the moon. This will be fitting for him, if what he went on about 'moon breathing' on our walk was true.
However I asked about is techniques, so I really shouldn't be complaining that he was able to go into detail. Anyways, it seemed that he had pain in his legs, arms, and abdomen. Oh, and a headache. Parts of his skin swelled, including the places on his face where four new eyes formed. These swellings resembling the buboes that were described as symptoms from the plague that hit Europe about 100 years ago.
In fact, now that I think about it, his symptoms are almost exactly the same as the ones described from that plague. What a lovely coincidence- that plague ended exactly 100 years ago, in 1353. That gives me an idea:
I will need to rename him soon, so why not take his symptoms and the date? Humans are so foolish, they let their sanitation get so bad that a mere bacteria that comes from fleas can wipe out millions of people. What did they call it? The Black Death? That translates to Kokushibo in our language- it's a nice name. When he wakes, I will tell him that I chose it because I have high hopes for his strength.
The sadistic pleasures that I get from watching him wither and transform under my control will be kept to myself.
For now, that is.

It's been a few hours now, and my new demon has moved into a position where is appears that he's sleeping normally. I would say that perhaps he is, but I can see the finishing touches of his new form in the works.
In contrast to my presumptions before, his face in a peaceful state is also cute and alluring. It surprises me that my body still produces these hormones now that he's calmed. What surprised me even more is how I moved him off the spare futon that I had set up and onto my larger western bed. Perhaps I just did so because I want him there later, or perhaps I just like his face. Perhaps it's a conversation of both- I hate to admit it but I can't exactly tell.
Speaking of later, even though I would like to get right to it the moment he wakes, I will take him out to dinner. While we cannot possibly go to a restaurant, I know a few beautiful spots for human eating that I can bring him to. He'll probably be hungry when he wakes up anyways. Plus, he needs to get used to eating humans as soon as possible.
Then, I shall have my way once we return. Well- I don't even know if he's also a homosexual! I mean... why would that even matter? I'm his king and-
No, no. That would be a form of sexual assault, and I, Muzan Kibutsuji, being far more sophisticated and civilized than mere humans, will not condone or partake in that. Just because I'm better than everyone else does not give me an excuse to be a monster.
...So embarrassing that I even thought about it for a second...
Back to the point. When he wakes, I shall tell him his name and take him out to dinner. There, we will have a nice conversation and I will brief him on what it means to be a demon under my rule. Then, we'll return to one of my mansions, and I will politely ask him if he would like to fuck. I will make sure he doesn't feel pressured. If he is foolish enough to decline such an opportunity, then I will make him forget I ever asked so he doesn't think I'm some weird lowly whore who only turned him to sleep with him.
I cannot have him thinking things about me that are simply not the case. I wanted to make a demon who could use breathing techniques. He happened to be the first slayer strong enough that I've encountered, and luckily for the both of us he was smart enough to accept my offer. He just so happens to also illicit homosexual reactions from my body.

Another 3 hours have past, and it's almost onto the fourth day of his transformation. Honestly, I suspect that he's just moved on to actually sleeping now. I can hear him lightly snoring. It's slightly annoying and distracting as I try to read my book, but It's also kind of cute. I'm kinda tempted to wake him, but I'll try to finish my book first. If he's not awake by then, I will wake him.
➽──────────────❥ 3RD PERSON POV ⋆。°✩
Michikatsu yawned slightly as he gripped the now cozy blanket and felt the soft pillow on his head and nice mattress underneath his body. This immediately confused him, as he was on a cheap futon when he started his transformation. He opened his eyes, taking a moment to adjust to this new kind of vision he had. He had no idea what the transformation had done to him, but he presumed that it was over given his lack of pain.
"Ah, you're awake. Good timing." Said a voice above him. He looked up, seeing Muzan Kibutsuji himself staring down at him with a slight smile. Michikatsu sat up, leaning back against the pillows that he assumed Muzan had propped up. It was slightly nerve racking, sitting just a few inches away from the demon king in such a casual manner. However, he didn't sense any malice from him at the moment. "How do you feel?" He asked.
"I feel..." He took a moment to focus on his body, trying to analyze how he feels. "Strange, I guess... definitely different... though I also feel stronger, more energized... it was easy to wake right up.. instead of procrastinate..."
"Good, good. That's exactly how you should be feeling. Now, go over to the mirror and take a look at your new and improved self. I'm sure you'll be just as pleased as I am." Poor Muzan, he had no idea he had just gotten himself into hundreds of years of reassuring his future husband.
Michikatsu reluctantly walked to the mirror, worried yet also curious about his looks. Having six eyes staring back at him was quite the surprise. He thought they were ugly, but at least he could see much, much better than he could before. His hair and mark got redder too, which wasn't that big of a change. But overall, it was super jarring- it was him, but not him.
"What's wrong? Are you unhappy with my gift?" Muzan walked over to him, standing beside his new creation.
"No..! Not unhappy... It's just.. strange... feels weird to look at... somewhat monstrous..." 'and nowhere near as pretty as you...' He thought.
"Well," Muzan was pleased to hear his thought, but didn't mention that he could hear it just yet. "I think it's very nice. Pleasing." He didn't want to over-compliment him, he determined that would be suspicious. "Especially those eyes. I've never seen anything like them before. They're very interesting- in a good way, of course."
"Thank... you..." Muzan could tell that he wasn't really used to compliments. He could also tell that he didn't exactly believe him.
"Now, what I'm saying is truth. I'm always right, after all. This is one of the fundamental truths you have to accept with me as your king. You got that, Kokushibo?"
"Kokushibo...?"
"Yes, Kokushibo. That's your name now. The days where you were... what were you called as a human again?"
"Michikatsu..."
"The days where you were Michikatsu are over. You're a demon now, so you will renounce your humanity entirely, including your old name. Okay Kokushibo?"
"Okay.." he nodded. "If I may ask... what is Kokushibo...? What does it mean...?"
"I'm glad you asked! Kokushibo is the word in our language for an illness that plagued Europe about 100 years ago. It killed many, many humans- I chose it for you as a testament to my strong belief that you will do well as a demon."
"I see..."
"Now, I can assume that you're hungry, right?" Kokushibo nodded. "Good. I will take you to a good feasting spot and catch some food along the way."
➽──────────────❥
"I'm surprised that you didn't even flinch when I killed those people- many newly-turneds will get extremely frightened and grossed out when they have to kill their first few meals." Muzan set down the basket full of humans that he had produced, and quickly pulled a picnic blanket from his flesh. He set it down, motioning for Kokushibo to sit, soon following suit.
"Eh... I've seen many people... die.. and I've even killed... some before... it doesn't phase me."
"That's good. But then why are you hesitant to bite on in?" Muzan asked.
"Well.. sometimes foods.. are very... uh.. troublesome... for me... so I guess.. I'm always a little... hesitant.."
"Well there's no need to worry. I've yet to meet a demon that has any problems with the taste or texture of humans. Just bite into it, and make sure not to spill. The only possible regret from eating humans is accidentally spilling on nice clothes." He chuckled.
"Alright..." Kokushibo picked up an arm and bit into it like a chicken wing. As he chewed, his eyes widened. "Mmm... it kinda tastes like beef...!"
"Good, now eat up. I need to tell you important things about being a demon."
"Do you want... me to save-"
"There's no need." Muzan put out his hand. "Currently, you need the food more than I do. I'll eat from my supply of marechi blood later."
"Okay..."
"Now, about being a demon: First, you must obey me. Don't question me or try to go against me. As I said before, I'm always right. Second, don't say my last name, Kibutsuji. It will kill you. Third, you must eat humans to survive. And I'm sure you already know about how not to die." Kokushibo nodded. "Now Kokushibo, I formally welcome you to the demonic ranks."
"Does everyone... get a formal welcome...?" He wondered.
"Pfft- no. However, you're already very strong, and I like strong people. I want to work closely with you, observe breathing styles in combination with being a demon, and use the information you have on the corps to crush them."
➽──────────────❥
Over the past month, Muzan had made a pretty insane realization. He didn't just like Kokushibo for his strength, obedience, loyalty, and beauty, but he was actually in love with him.
It wasn't even the past month- it had taken two weeks and Muzan was already head over heels for his newest demon. He couldn't believe it! He guessed that how he cared for him after he got attacked by that wretched sun man sped up the process, but perhaps that was just him trying to make it logical!
He hated the troupe in media where one didn't have love all their life, but now one person walked in and suddenly they're all corny... but, it was happening to him. He wanted to hold Kokushibo's hand, take him out on dates, buy him flowers, kiss him, hold him, do all the things that a couple would do.
He supposed that his cold heard had really thawed a little bit- making room for emotions other than hate, anger, and hornyness... But, for him to do all that, he would have to get rid of the weird situationship dynamic that they had going on. And, he would have to be honest.
"Kokushibo?" Muzan said, peaking out of his room door, his eyes scanning the floor for his right-hand-man and hopefully soon-to-be boyfriend.
"Yes...?"
"Could you come up here? I want to speak with you for a moment."
"Of course..." Kokushibo walked into Muzan's and sometimes his room, sitting on the side of the bed that Muzan pat."
"Kokushibo..." He sighed, "I have to come clean... I mean, I haven't been very honest with you this past month. As I'm sure you're aware, from the day we've met to now, we've periodically done, things..." Kokushibo nodded, blushing slightly due to him recalling their activities. "And even though I tried not to, I kind of ended up abusing my power and just using you for said things. Especially in the beginning. But now I've realized that I don't just want that. I've come to learn that I really do like you, Kokushibo. I want to spend more time with you, and not just in that way. So, I've come to apologize for basically using you for sex, and ask you if you'd like to be my real partner. Not just a business partner- though I'd like to keep that aspect too- but like a partner partner. Boyfriend."
"..." Kokushibo took a minute to process Muzan's words. "I would... like that..." He said finally, his cheeks dusting pink at the thought of an actual relationship with Muzan.

Rate Muzan's apology on a scale of 1-10: 1 being a shitty youtuber apology and 10 being a perfect apology
Even though most of my stories are silly and mostly filled with dialogue, I like when I get to write stuff more like this, especially in first person since I don't do that often. Muzan's inner monologue is like 1000+ words, and I tried to use it as an exploration of his character. I hope I did well.
