A/N: Hello, readers. So I wanna write a fanfiction about Daggeron and how he fell in love with the Lunar Knight (which is the opposite of him) Should I make it? Enjoy!

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN - RANGER DOWN

𝓣𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙴𝚁

"THERE I STOOD FACE-TO-FACE WITH the dreaded pirate half nose. Despite having my paws tied and being made to walk the plank—" Jenji was telling us some story. Though none of us were paying attention.

"You free yourself and beat him with your sword!" Chip interrupted him. "I had no sword. I was armed with only my cunning, my bravery, and a little trick I picked up in Kath... Mandu. I like to call it my super cat attack!" Jenji exclaimed. "Super cat attack?" Nick questioned. That's when Clare came in.

"He roared! Fire Heart just roared for the first time!" She announced. We all got up and headed over to Fire Heart. "But I wasn't finished." Jenji said. "What did it sound like? Was it loud and bellowy or rough and growly?" Xander asked. "Well, it kinda sounded like... Grrrrr!" Clare answered as she did a small roar. We all awwed. "And then he let out a little puff of smoke." Clare added.

"Aw, how cute!" Vida exclaimed. "Oh, look. The dragon did this. Oh, look. The dragon did that. Dragons... You can't live with them. You can't dump them in a moat." Jenji said. I turned around and saw Jenji and how he was somewhat getting jealous of Fire Heart. "I think I may cough up a fur ball." Jenji said sadly.

We were all at the Rock Porium as Toby entered the shop. "Quick! Hide me! Remember that big, black, bat thingy that carried me off before? Well, she's back, but this time, she's got a big blue bird thing! And I mean big! I don't know about you guys, but I'm hiding!" Toby exclaimed. We all rushed towards the place. "What lovely feathers!" Screamer exclaimed. "Well, hello, Rangers." Necrolai said. "We got to do something." Vida informed.

"That bird's got a foul mouth. Sorry. Couldn't resist." Chip said. That's when we got attacked by her. "Now even she's got magic." Chip stated. "Yes, I do." Necrolai. "Let's Ranger up!" Nick said. We all got up and got out our morphers. "Magical Source, Mystic Force!" We all shouted. We then morphed. "We'll take Necrolai. Vida, Madison, perch that bird!" Nick said.

Nick, Xander, Chip, and I began fighting Necrolai while Vida and Madison were fighting Screamer. That's when Necrolai used her magic to attack Chip, Xander, and I with car doors as we fell to the ground. Nick fought her next but ended up on the ground as well. Chip, Xander, Nick, and I continued fighting Necrolai.

Madison then attacked Necrolai as she let us go. "Rest assured. We'll be back!" Necrolai informed as they disappeared. Nick, Xander, Chip, and I limped over towards Madison and Vida. "Are you okay?" Madison asked. "Yeah." Xander replied.

We all arrived back at Root Core. "Have any of you seen Fire Heart?" Udonna asked. "Not me." Nick answered. "Not for a while." Madison added. "He's gone missing. Clare is beside herself, combing the forest. If he falls into the wrong hands before he reaches adulthood—" Udonna started off.

"Jenji." Daggeron said as him and Udonna turned around. "Uh..." Jenji said and stopped. "What have you done?" Daggeron asked. "Well, uh..." Jenji started off. We were in the forest. "Since dragons like Fire Heart grow into adults in an instant, I thought he'd be happier in the forest." Jenji explained. "We're not buying it, Jenji." I informed.

"Fine, don't believe me. Why would I care where that dumb, useless, attention-getting dragon lives?" Jenji asked. He gasped at the empty red blanket. "Hey, that's my blanket." Nick said. "Your blanket? Isn't that a baby blanket?" Madison asked.

Madison chuckled. "You kept it since you were a baby? Oh, that's cute. He's cute." Madison said. "This blanket is all I have from my birth parents." Nick informed.

"Oh, you were adopted. I didn't know that." Madison said. "No, no. No big thing. My adoptive parents are great. It turned out fine. I just keep it... I'm not really sure why I keep it." Nick said. "Guys, I need your help!" Jenji called. We all rushed over to him.

"Where is he? I-I left him right here! Fire Heart is... gone!" Jenji exclaimed. We were all back at Rootcore. "No sign of Fire Heart." Vida said. "And I've got more bad news. Jenji is gone, too." Daggeron stated. "Well, maybe he's looking for Fire Heart." Chip said. "I don't think so. He left a note. "I'm not looking for Fire Heart. I'm running away. No one cares about me. Your ex-friend, Jenji."" Daggeron read.

"This is our fault. We were spending so much time with Fire Heart we forgot about Jenji." I said. "It's something he's familiar with. You see, Jenji was banished from his homeland, cast away by the ones he loved the most." Daggeron said. "Who would banish Jenji? He's great." Chip exclaimed.

"Jenji was the strongest and most popular cat in the land. Rexigan, the very jealous King cat, had a witch cast a spell over the entire village, convincing everyone that Jenji was evil. Everyone turned their backs on Jenji, and he was banished. When I met Jenji, he was a wandering nomad... all alone." Daggeron explained as he told us how he met Jenji. "If Jenji doesn't return to the lamp within two hours, he'll be lost forever." Daggeron informed. The crystal ball glowed. "Necrolai's back. Go, Rangers." Udonna said.

"You guys go. I'm going to look for Jenji. He doesn't have much time." I said as the rest of them headed out. "Jenji!" I called. I found Jenji in a dumpster yard. "Jenji." I said. "How'd you find me? Or a better question— why'd you find me?" Jenji asked. I sat down next to him. "Jenji, you've got to get back to that lamp. If you don't, you—" I started to say.

"Oh, like you guys care." Jenji interrupted. "Jenji, how can you say that?" I asked. "You guys made it quite clear that you like that smoke-belching, scaly-faced, skinny winged, can't-even-purr-if-you-paid-him dragon more than me." Jenji replied.

"I know it may feel that way, but it's not true." I informed. "Is." Jenji said. "Is not." I argued. "Is." Jenji said. "Is not!" I said. "We love you, Jenji. We were paying a lot of attention to Fire Heart, and we forgot about you— forgot about your feelings." I said. "Yes, you did." Jenji agreed. "How many times do I have to say we're sorry?" I asked. "Six would be nice." Jenji replied.

"O-Okay. Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry." I said as I counted them on my fingers. "But the next time you get your fur in a knot, you can't just dump your problems in the forest. You got to talk about it. It's no better than what Rexigan did to you." I informed. "You're right. I let you all down. I deserve what's about to happen to me." Jenji said.

"Nothing is going to happen to you if you just..." I started to say. That's when my morpher beeped as I took out my morpher and opened it. "Tanner, we need help!" Nick said. "Guys, are you okay? Where are you? Guys?" I asked. I closed my morpher. I turned around to see that Jenji was gone. "Jenji?" I said.

I arrived at the scene to see everyone else turned into colored feathers. "Jenji, are you okay?" I asked. I took out my staff as I began fighting Screamer. I fell down to the ground as I demorphed.

Jenji attacked Screamer as I gasped. "Jenji!" I exclaimed. Jenji ended up kicking the beak off of Screamer. I rushed over to Jenji who was disappearing. "Jenji, why didn't you go back to Root Core and save yourself?" I asked him.

"You guys are my family, my only family. Tell Fire Heart I'm sorry." Jenji replied as his voice echoed. Daggeron showed up morphed as he pulled Jenji back into his lamp. "Tell him yourself." Daggeron said. "Ah, home, sweet home." Jenji stated. I laughed. "Touching! But I'm not through with you yet!" Screamer exclaimed. "Time to Ranger up, Tanner." Daggeron told me.

I nodded as I got out my morpher. "Magical Source, Mystic Force!" I shouted. I morphed. "Let's get her, Jenji!" I said. "Oh, yeah!" Jenji said as his lamp flew into my hands. "Solaris Leisure Lamp!" I shouted as I rubbed Jenji's lamp. "Okay, do it." Daggeron said. "Jenji Shining Attack!" I shouted as Jenji came out of the lamp and attacked.

"Scream at this." I said as Screamer was destroyed. Everyone who was turned into feathers turned back to normal. Including Nick, Vida, Xander, Chip, and Madison.

"This isn't over. Grow, Screamer!" Necrolai said as Screamer grew. Everyone rushed up to me. "Thanks, Tanner." Nick said. "Thank Jenji." I told him. Daggeron and the rest of us got into our Megazords.

"Solar Streak Megazord!" Daggeron shouted. Jenji and Daggeron attacked first as they kicked Screamer in the air. "Furnace Blast!" Daggeron shouted as he attacked Screamer.

"Spirits of the Ancient Titans!" We all shouted. We attacked Screamer. "Checkmate!" We all said. We all watched as Screamer was destroyed.

I waited for Seth to meet us at our meeting place. "You know, little brother. We're gonna have to stop meeting like this." I heard Seth's voice say. "Whatever. Just teach me how to control my visions. These headaches are killing me." I groaned.

Seth sighed. "All right. Close your eyes and focus." He said. I closed my eyes as I felt Seth's hands on my temples.

"Focus really hard." Seth said. I concentrated and that's when I saw it. A destroyed village and Nick turning evil, and all of the Rangers, including me, getting our magic power sucked into the hole where The Master was kept to try and get him out.

I saw Ten Terrors rising and me along with the rest of the Rangers fighting them. I gasped as I opened my eyes and my eyes turned to a normal blue. Seth saw how distressed I was. "That be all for today, yeah?" Seth said as he disappeared. I thought about what I just saw in my vision.

"What was that? Is that of what is to come?"
