(y/n)'s POV
"This is unbelievable." Padme paced around her apartment as the three of us and Satine sat in her living room, "A traitor in the Senate, I have no idea who it could be." She started to bite her nails in frustration as she was searching her mind for answers.

"We're only telling you because we trust you Padme and we can't have everyone be ignorant. Now that you know maybe you can search for signs that could indicate who it is." Anakin stood up and placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her down so she would stop pacing and gain her full attention, "And no one but you can know, not a single person is to be trusted is that understood? Not even Bail."

She narrowed her eyes at him, "Bail would never-"

"I'm sure he wouldn't but no chances can be taken Padme, promise us you won't tell another soul." He told her in a serious tone. "We've gone against the council to come and tell you this."

She sighed and moved away from his grip so she could sit in a chair across from us, Anakin came back and took a seat beside me. "Alright, I won't."

Suddenly another presence came into the room, "Obi!" Satine immediately stood up, and greeted Obi-Wan with a kiss on his lips.

"Um am I the only one who follows the code? When did this happen?" Ahsoka eyed the pair in shock.

Oops, it looks like we forgot to mention this little detail to her.

"Since Mandalore." I responded for them, and Ahsoka shot me an annoyed glare.

"So you all knew but me?" Her voice rose into a higher pitch, and it was obvious that she was a little hurt for being kept in the dark.

"Sorry snips, we forgot." Anakin responded with a shrug.

She crossed her arms and leaned back in the couch, "No one tells me anything." She mumbled low in a pout.

I felt bad for her, we were gonna have to make this up to her somehow. She's been feeling left out a lot lately.

"I'm sorry Ahsoka," Obi-Wan apologized to her, "But Anakin I need to speak with you for a moment, privately." His eyes shifted to mine with an apologetic look. I wonder what they could be talking about that I couldn't be a part of?

"Alright." My husband stood up but not before giving my knee an affectionate squeeze.

Anakins POV
Obi-Wan pulled me away so we were out of ear shot from the girls. "Master Yoda and I may have come up with a plan. We're not sure yet we still need to work out some of the details but I think it's our best shot."

"Well what is it?" I questioned urgently. I wanted to take care of this problem as soon as possible. I didn't feel safe that there was a traitor in our lives. I didn't feel safe for my wife or my best friends.

"You're probably not gonna like it." He gave me a sly smile.

"Just tell me." I folded my arms across my chest.

"We have to die."

"WHAT?!"

"I told you, you weren't gonna like it."

(y/n)'s POV
Anakin was quiet the whole time home. He hardly spoke a word to me and I was beginning to feel nervous. What could Obi-Wan have told him to make him this way? "Anakin?" I finally broke the long silence between us as we entered our room.

"Yeah?" He spoke low without looking at me as he took off his robes and shirt.

"What did Obi-Wan tell you?" I asked nervously. Did I even want to know..

"Nothing." He responded quietly as he walked into the bathroom to turn on the shower.

Anakin's POV
Obi-Wans crazy plan was circulating inside my mind. I could hardly think of anything else. He was right though, it was the best shot we had. But that's not the problem I had with it. It's what I had to do that was gonna be hard on me. Could I even do it? He gave me the choice. He said I could tell her, that he understood why I felt the need to. But in order for this plan to work, I'm not sure if she can know. It involved a lot of lying, which is not something she is good at. Her reaction to.. it. Would sell it, everyone would believe it to be true. It would be the most selfish thing I've ever done but I was doing it for her. To keep her safe. To keep everyone safe.

I sighed as I turned on the shower. I've hardly spoken to her which is causing a lot of tension. I could feel her worry.

I took the rest of my clothes off and stepped in the shower and let the warm water run down my body. The shower was the best place to think for me. I came up with all my ideas here and all my solutions.

I felt a presence next to me and I turned around to see her getting in the shower with me. She had a sad look on her face. A look I can easily make go away if I told her.

Instead I wrapped my arms around and she laid her head on my chest as the water continued to run down us both. "I love you more than anything in the galaxy, you know that right?" I pulled away and pushed her wet hair away from her face as I looked into her beautiful (y/e/c) eyes.

"Of course I know that." She smiled up at me and I could feel my heart racing at the sight of her smile. It made the brightest stars seem dull.

"You trust me right?" I used my thumb to rub against her jawline.

"You know I do." She whispered as she placed a hand on my cheek and her eyes looked over my facial features, like she was admiring them.

"Then trust that I will tell you anything you need to know. When the time comes." I kept my gaze on her eyes and I felt her relax.

"Okay." She nodded and I bent my head down to place a kiss on her soft lips.

~*~•~*~

She had finally fallen asleep in my arms. I slowly pulled myself away from her and put on a robe to hide my bare chest as I exited the room to go talk to Obi-Wan.

"Anakin do you have any idea what time it is?" He sleepily answered his door, rubbing his eyes.

"I made up my mind." I looked to the ground sadly, hurt by my own selfish decision.

"I can tell by your demeanor it's not at all what I expected your answer to be." He sounded a little surprised and he placed an arm on my shoulder to comfort me. Usually it worked, this time it didn't.

I sighed, it was a hard choice but I knew what it had to be, it was what was best for the plan, "It'll ensure it's believable."

He nodded, "I understand Anakin. If this is really what you want." He moved his hand away and placed it back by his side.

"When is it happening?" I questioned, we never got to that part of him explaining his plan. I was too busy worrying about the rest.

"That I don't know. I'll talk to Master Yoda. For now, go get some sleep. Spend some time with her." He smiled sadly and I nodded.

"Goodnight Obi-Wan." I bowed respectfully.

"Goodnight." He closed his door.

I walked down the hallway with my head hung low. Then I saw her, Lida at the end of the hall talking with someone else. That's when I remembered that the traitor within the Senate wasn't my only problem.

I quickly turned a corner so she wouldn't see me and Instead of going back to my room, I decided to make one more stop.

"Anakin you do realize it's late." Padme mumbled in annoyance as she wrapped her robe around her nightgown and sat on the couch, "This better be important, I have an early meeting with some Senators."

I sat across from her, "I promise it is. There's something I have to do soon and I need you to do something for me and you're the only one I trust enough." I spoke in the most serious tone I had, I needed her to know how important this was. "It's about (y/n)."

As soon as I mentioned my wife her look of annoyance changed to one of worry, "I'd do anything for you both."

"I know," I smiled knowing how much Padme cared for not just me but (y/n), "but first there's a few things you should know about Lida."

(y/n)'s POV
I opened my eyes to the sound of the door opening. "Anakin?" I blinked a few times to see him coming inside and laying in the bed next to me, "Where did you go?" I wrapped my arms around him and placed my head on his chest. Who needs a pillow when you have Anakin Skywalker?

"Just for a walk." He placed a kiss on my hair.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked, I didn't pry him about earlier anymore but something about him felt off.

"Of course I am, I have you." He wrapped his arms around me tightly and squeezed me playfully.

"Try not to suffocate me." I choked out with a laugh and he joined in with a handsome chuckle.

"Do you remember our wedding?" He asked after a few moments of silence.

I lifted myself up so my elbow was on his chest and I could look into his eyes, "Of course I do." I responded sounding slightly confused. Why would I forget our wedding?

"Can you recite your vows for me?" He asked sweetly as he brushed the hair out of my face. "Just the last few lines."

I found his request to be weird but luckily for him that was the best day of my life and I remember every word. I gently stroked his hair and kept his eyes on mine as I recited the lines from that day, "I love you more than anything and there isn't a single thing in this galaxy I wouldn't do for you. I do believe you are my soulmate and no matter what happens in the future we will always come back to each other and forgive each other. This is to forever." I finished and he had a tear going down his cheek.

"I need you to always remember those words okay? No matter what. Never forget those words." Before I could respond to him he pulled me up with ease and placed his lips on mine. His hands roamed though my hair as he held me close to him.

~*~•~*~

"Good news everyone." Obi-Wan came into the training room where Anakin and Ahsoka were continuing to practice more lightsaber positions while I sat on the floor, reading a book given to me by Master Yoda.

"Perfect, we could use some good news right now." I set the book down on the floor and looked up to my former master.

"We've found the location of General Grievous," his eyes shifted to Anakin who had an expression I couldn't read and then his eyes went to mine, "The council thinks us three should be the ones to get him. No clones, just us, we can sneak onto the ship undetected."

"Sounds good to me." I stood up, picking the book up from the floor. It was about time we got a lead on Grievous.

"You three?" Ahsoka looked annoyed, "What about me?" She looked to Anakin for answers.

"Come with me snips." He led her out of the room and I could see them in the hallway having a private conversation. It looked like she didn't put up much of a fight, in fact, she looked almost sad. Her eyes looked to me in the room and then back to Anakin. As soon as they were done she left without coming back into the room, which I found to be a little strange.

"Is she okay?" I asked him when he walked back inside.

"Yeah just a little upset she can't come," He smiled but it looked a little forced. I assumed he felt bad for not allowing her to come but he was just keeping her best interest at heart. "She'll get over it."

"Well if you two are ready we can leave now." Obi-Wan addressed us both.

"We'll meet you at the ship Obi-Wan. I need to talk to my wife for a moment." He looked to his former master who nodded in understanding before leaving the room.

"Is everything okay?" I asked as he used the force to close and lock the door.

"Of course," He walked up to me and pushed me against the wall, "I just don't want to break our tradition." He smirked before placing a kiss on my lips and pulling off my shirt.

(a/n I know this chapter was all over the place but I needed to place a foundation for all the things to come. I hope you liked it and I love you all thank you for the constant support ♥️)
