no ones pov 

Just like yesterday (F•N) woke up with excitement. Today was Christmas day and the awards ceremony.

She got up extra early so she could prepare herself for the ceremony,she slipped on her outfit sent by Captain Holt and grabbed the gifts that she wrapped and headed out to the police station.

As she walked towards the entrance of her apartment complex,the old woman that sat behind the desk called out her.

"Hey! The mailman dropped off some gifts last night." She pointed behind at the mailboxes.

(F•N) walked over the mailboxes and saw a assortment of wrapped presents most likely from her mother and father.

"Thank you! Merry Christmas!" (F•N) said walking out of her complex and onto the frosty streets.

She walked towards the police station again not trying to slip and fall and headed towards the 9-9 again.

She walked pasted Benjamin  who wished her happy holidays and wanted to catch up with her. And he missed a lot.

"There ranking you up to detective? Congrats! Wait what happened to Oilver? I saw you walk by me all tattered up and bruised!" Benjamin said.

"He's serving juvie for now,and the latest update I've heard he's doing better and talking more to this mother." (F•N) said.

"I'm glad that this is happening for you! Can't wait to see you onstage!" Benjamin said as (F•N) walked towards the elevator.

She waited until the fourth floor and stepped out she didn't see any of the gang here there were some other officers standing around talking.

She pulled out everyone's gift and placed them around there desks like a sneaky santa,she giggled to herself as she sat down.

Then she left the police station and called for a taxi outside the police station. She got in a told the driver her location.

Her phone started to ring,she looked at the caller ID.

"Hi~!" (F•N) said.

"Hey baby,its daddy!" her father said.

"What's up dad? I'm on my way right now to the courthouse. Are you and mom dressed?" (F•N) asked.

"I'M dressed and you know how your mother is..."

"I HEARD THAT AND IM GETTING READY AS FAST AS I CAN!" She yelled in the bathroom.

"Don't worry! I'll wait for you guys! Bye dad!" (F•N) said.

The driver arrived at the courthouse and drove off after (F•N) paid them. She took deep breath before walking up the steps.

She found the room where the ceremony was held,she nervously walked through the room until she saw a familiar sight.

"Ah,what?! Why is Commissioner Wuntch here?" (F•N) said disgusted.

"The NYPD has chosen her to present our awards..." 

(F•N) turned to see Holt all dressed up. "You look nice in the uniform,is any of your family coming?" He asked.

"Just my mother and father,shall we sit and wait?" (F•N) asked.

Holt shook his head,and they both sat down.

"Happy holidays Captain Holt." (F•N) said.

"Happy festivities day,are you planning to do something with your family?" Holt asked.

"No,I haven't really planned anything yet." (F•N) said.

After the attendees arrive the awards ceremony started.

"The NYPD was been recognized for it's hard efforts theses past few day's and would like you to support these heroes that protect our land..." Said the speaker.

(F•N) started to move around in her seat nervously.

"The NYPD would especially like to recognize the 9–9 and there efforts to achieve the investigation that concurred last week. I would proudly like to introduce the whole 9-9 crewmates upon stage for their achievements." Said the speaker.

The room clapped very loud especially (F•N)'s parents. She couldn't help but blush in embarrassment.

After the gang got there respect awards,now the room was fixated on (F•N).

"The NYPD would like to congratulate and award (F•N) (L•N) for her acts of bravery and becoming a new Detective of the 9-9." Said the speaker.

The room roared with congrats and cheers as a metal of honor went around (F•N).

"Congratulations Detective (F•N)."

After the ceremony (F•N) was talking to the rest of the 9-9 whilst Captain Holt watched from afar.

"You must be Captain Holt." 

Holt turned around to see (F•N)'s parents smiling happily.

"Mr and Ms (L•N). Its a pleasure to meet you both." Holt said shaking hands with both.

"How is she?" Her mother asked.

"I can tell you one thing for sure,she doing what she loves and worked hard for everyone." Holt said proudly.

"That's my daughter. What about this investigation?" Her father asked.

"The investigation?" Holt said trailing off.

Holt had a small flashback to last week while him and (F•N) were at the hospital.

"Captain Holt. Can you promise me something..." (F•N) said in the bed.

"What is it?" Holt asked.

"Promise not to tell my mother about me in the hospital or jumping out a train at high speeds. She would flip out. And my injuries." (F•N) said.

"What do I tell her?" Holt asked.

"Just tell her..."

"...He surrendered very quickly and gained a high trust in your daughter." Holt said, 

"Oh that's good,I'm glad that you and your very professional team is taking care of my daughter." Her mother said proudly.

"Yes..very professional..." Holt said.

The ceremony concluded and the 9-9 was back chilling at the police building.

"Soooooooo– Are we gonna ignore the presents sitting on our desk?" Jake said.

"Yall should probably open them!" (F•N) said at her desk.

"I'll go first." Jake said.

He unwrapped his present and saw the first thing he saw. His jaw dropped.

"No way! Die hard DVD,commentary exclusive from Bruce Willis himself and it's his signature?! Also a switch,and a Taylor swift album." Jake said.

"Whose the sender?" Amy asked.

" Its says "Someone you know~" " Jake said reading the tag.

"We have a secret Santa in the precinct!" Boyle said.

"I'm next! I'm next!" Boyle said clapping his hand in excitement.

Boyle ripped apart his gift and smiled brightly.

"New cooking set! Cooks book and–!" Boyle said pausing.

He proudly help up a pink apron that said "Kiss the chief!" with a red lipstick kiss mark.

"Genevieve is gonna love this~!" Boyle said.

"I'll go next!" Amy said.

Amy carefully unwrapped her gift. "We have some blazers,flash drive and that's it! That's it!" 

"Are you sure? There has to be more in there." (F•N) said getting up and walking towards Amy desk.

"I'm sure–"

(F•N) pulled out a dress that was blue and medium lengthwise. The 9-9 awed at the dress.

"This is beautiful Ms.Santiago! You're probably gonna need it soon." (F•N) said.

"No I won't but thank you to whomever sent me this dress." Amy said clearly flushed.

"I'm guess I'm next." Rosa said.

She opened her gift and pulled out a brown leather jacket and some cleaning supplies for Rosa's knifes.

"Dope." 

"I'll go! Terry love presents!" He said wrapping his gifts.

"New suspenders, some gym equipment,and a toy for my girls!. Terry like this!" He said happy.

"What about that box next to you?" Jake said.

"Oh,I didn't see that." Terry said.

Terry opened the box and saw a mini fridge inside.

"Terry got his own fridge!" He said holding it like it's his own child.

"Me last!" Gina said.

She opened the box and pulled out a robe with her the words "G-Hive" bedazzled in the back.

"Yes finally! My people have something new to gaze at!" Gina like a queen.

"Why is no one working? and what's with the wrapping paper on the ground?"  Captain Holt leaving his office.

"Its Christmas! Didn't you get a present as well?" Amy asked.

"Yes I did,it was supply basket sent my husband and that man really knows me. Clean this up and get back to work. Happy holidays 9-9" Holt said walking back to his seat.

"(F•N) your'e the only one who didn't get a present." Jake said.

"My parents sent me something this morning. I'll open them when my shift ends." (F•N) said.

Everyone went back to work while (F•N) did a miniature victory dance at her desk,she imagined what her presents could look.

The day ended and so did everyone's shift. (F•N) was preparing to leave until Captain Holt called her into his office.

"(F•N),I am glad to see that you are now finally a detective. And just one question." Holt said.

"Ask away sir!" (F•N) said.

"Are you the "Secret Santa"? " Holt asked.

"I'm not sure sir,its a secret!" (F•N) said.

Holt gave a small chuckle. "See you tomorrow,detective." Holt said.

(F•N) walked out of the police building and back toward her apartment complex. She opened the door to see her mother and father talking at the front desk.

"Mom and dad? what you doing here?" (F•N) asked.

"We wanna see you open your presents before we leave." Her mother said.

"Oh okay,I'll show you to my apartment." (F•N) said.

(F•N) led her parents into her apartment with her gifts. She let them in to large-sized room and sat down and talked for a while.

"Enough talking,open your gifts." (F•N)'s dad said.

(F•N) opened her gifts one by one like a excited child. At the end she got,some new clothes bathing set and some video games.

"So detective! what are you and the 9-9 gonna do moving forward?" (F•N)'s mom asked.

"I'm not sure,we'll probably have to wait until something comes up. And if something does come up,we'll do it the good old 9-9 style"

a/n : 6 day late Christmas special chapter + new year eve = IM LAZY ASF 😅

so yeah the year is ending... isn't that something... But I will say one thing. Congratulations you survived 12 months and I hope you'll survive another 12 months. I'm and so proud of you
