(F•N)'s pov 

"NYPD! Put your hands–no that sounds too soft..."

I was in my bathroom practicing how I would arrest someone; my voice isn't the most aggressive, but it can get loud.

I was pretending my hairbrush was a weapon and was aiming at an imaginary person.

"Okay, one more time. NYPD! PUT YOUR GOD DAMN– I can. I even say that?" 

I sighed to myself and kept brushing my bed hair and also wondering whether to straighten it or curl it out... 

I'm gonna curl it and put it in a ponytail. Yeah, good call (F•N).

I got done cleaning myself and doing other hygienic things, and the moment I've waited for MY POLICE UNIFORM! 

It was hanging behind me, all pressed and beautiful, waiting to be worn by me!

I grabbed my uniform and went to my bedroom to change into it.

First, it was Jean's, then the shirt, and lastly, the vest.

I stepped in front of my mirror stand...

I stared at myself in the uniform, examining every nook and cranny.

I feel amazing. I look amazing.

Today is going to be an awesome day.

I walked out of my room, and before I did, I saw the pepper spray that my dad had made for me.

Am I going to need it? Nah!

I went out of my apartment complex and walked toward the Brooklyn precinct building.

NYPD, here I come!

NYPD OFFICE.

No one's pov.

(F •N) walked inside of the precinct. It was small inside with officers and waiting crooks.

She walked up to the desk where someone was eating?

"Excuse me?" She said to the desk clerk.

"Yes– Oh! Are you new?" They said, wiping off the cereal from their face.

"Yeah, I'm new here! I just traveled from my hometown to become an officer here in Brooklyn." (F•N) said.

They gasped and stood up from their seats. "You are so adorable in that uniform, I mean seriously!" They said.

"Thank you! What's your name?" (F•n) said.

"I am Deputy Benjamin. I've been here for 3 years straight! I've seen everything come in and come out of that door." He said proudly.

"Cool, do you know where the bullpen is?" (F•N) asked.

"Down that hall and onto your right." Benjamin pointed to the hall.

(F•N) walked away from him and towards the bullpen. Benjamin gave her one more good look before she disappeared.

"Aww... she's going to get eaten alive out there..."

(F•N) walked into the bullpen, a very rowdy bullpen.

It felt like a high school cafeteria again, boys arm wrestling with other boys and girls, loud chatting.

(F•N) didn't know if this was a good memory or a cursed one.

She walked up to the front of the room and sat down with two other officers in front.

She leaned over with a smile. "Hi! I'm officer (L•N)!  Ready to make the world a better place?" she said, slightly nervous.

The officer ignored her and went back to whatever he was doing.

"Not much of a talker.." (F•N) said.

"TEN HUT!" said a deep male voice walking into the room.

Everyone stood up, including (F•N).

"Good morning, everybody. I am Deputy Owen. Before I begin this meeting, There is an elephant in the room." Owen makes eye contact with another female officer.

"Trinity! Happy birthday." He said calmly as the room erupted into cheering.

"Sit back down and settle down. Today, on our subject, we have over 5 missing person cases over the past few weeks. Ranging from every district here in New York." Owen's pointed at a close-up map of NYC with different pins with different headshots of the missing citizens.

"And our newest case today!" He slapped on a picture of a young boy on the map. "That is Elliott Edgerton, seventeen-year-old male. His mother called in to report him missing over 3 hours ago. Reportedly, he was heading to his friend's house and never returned."

(F•N) eyes almost sparkled; this was perfect for her.

"City hall has been on our ass, and we need to make this our priority. Assignments! You will get a case and a precinct to work alongside." Owen's said.

He called everyone up with a missing person case leaving (F•N) for last.

"Okay, new girl!" He said, making eye contact with her.

(F•N) stood up straight and fixed her hair. "Yes, sir!" 

"Parking duty, dismissed." Owen said walkin out of the bullpen.

(F•N)'s face dropped in disbelief. "Parking duty.." she repeated to herself.

She got up from her seat and called out to deputy Owen.

"There must be a misunderstanding, you said there were 5 missing person cases." (F•N) said.

"So?" Owens responded nonchalantly.

"I can take one! Like the newest one!" (F•N) said.

"Well then, writing one hundred tickets a day shouldn't be hard then," Owens said as he was about to leave.

"Two hundred tickets, I catch a perpetrator then I'll get that case!" (F•N) roared out at Owen.

"My, my! We have ourselves an achiever! Okay, you have yourself a deal. Make sure you get it done by the end of this week." Owens left the bullpen.

(F•n) left the bullpen as well. She went into the nearest changing room and slipped on an orange vest and a hat.

"Okay parking duty, I'm okay with dealing with aggressive people who got their driver's license from Mario Kart, it's no big deal." She said walking out on the streets.

(F•N) smoothly walked through the busily streets of New York,she checked every parking meter incase they were expired.

As she was walking the a sudden realization hit her. "Why'd I say that back at the bullpen? Damnit!" She said.

"Great,now I have to get two hundred tickets and arrest someone–" 

*Ding!*

(F•N) stopped in her tracks and ran to the parking meter,and printed out a ticket.

She looked down at her meter machine and the counter changed to one. (F•N) looked at her watch. It was 8AM.

"Okay,I could get used to this. Let's go this." (F•N) said adjusting her hat.

She ran to each parking meters the made a ding noise,throwing each tickets into people's car.

She ran across the street after looking both ways and made more tickets.

It was now noon and she got over two hundred tickets.

*Ding!*

Two hundred and one tickets.

"Woo! baby that's how you do it!" (F•N) said walking down the streets.

She soon saw across the street a ice cream shop,her eyes widen with happiness.

Then,she saw something else. It was a guy with a leather jacket in the hot New York heat, with messy curly brown hair and a black polo shirt. He was looking around all suspiciously before entering the shop.

(F•N) walked towards the icecream shop and heard some bickering. She slowly walked in and grabbed for her weapon just incase things get intense.

"Why can you give my boy,the jumbo sundae?" Said the man.

(F•N) leaned over and saw that the man had his son next to him.

" Like I said!" The angry cashier pointed to a sign on the counter. "We have the right to refuse service to anyone!"

"Please! Just this one time?" He said pleading.

"LEAVE.NOW." said the cashier.

"Wait!" (F•N) walked in front of the shop. "Hi,Officer (F•N). What seems to be the problem?"

The rude cashier rolled his eyes. "Who called the meter maid?" He said laughing to himself.

(F•N) held up her badge. "Its officer,get it right. I have one simple question."

"Oh yeah?" Said the cashier in a cocky voice.

"Are your customers aware that your shop is notorious for its failed health inspections?" (F•N) said very loudly.

"What are you talking about?" Said the cashier.

"Its says right here,by a food inspector in your review's. (F•N) Said almost shoving the phone in the man's face.

"Its says and I quote. This icecream establishment is a creamy nightmare! Multiple workers have no sanitary practice whatsoever,its like if you let a bunch of toddlers operate the place–" 

"ALRIGHT! alright! I'll make your stupid sundae! But this will be the final time okay? " Said the cashier walking to the bar.

After you paid and left the shop and was standing outside with the man and his son.

"I'm so sorry,you had to deal with that. You are just a really great dad!" (F•N) said.

"Aw! dont sweat it!" He said.

"What's your name?"  (F•N) asked.

"Uhhh,Paul Sneed." Paul said.

"Nice to meet you,I have to get back to work, see you later! bye little man!" 

Paul and (F•N)  walked there separate ways.

(F•N) kept making tickets until her shift was over.

"I think I did pretty well for my first day today,I got over two hundred and twenty tickets and help father and son." She said walking to the bullpen 

There were few people roaming around the room,she found the dressing room and neatly placed back the parking duty vest and hat in its proper place.

"Hello? (F•N)? Its me,Owens." 

(F•N) opened the door to deputy Owen standing in the frame. "I see we made great progress today,keep up the good work." Owens closed the door.

(F•N) walked back to her apartment complex in the cold weather,she took the stairs to her room and threw off her uniform and sat down on her bed. 

She scrolled through her phone until her mother video called her.

"Hi,mom." (F•N) said.

"How was your first day?" She said immediately jumping into questions.

"Different,I did parking  duty and I helped a dad and his son in a icecream shop." (F•N) said.

"Oh,but you are gonna work on the field soon right?" Her mom said.

"Right...well I have to work for it,I promised my deputy that I would get over two hundred tickets and catch a criminal by the end of the week." (F•N) explained.

"What case are you working for? I'm starting to get curious." 

"There is five ongoing investigations,all missing person cases and I wanted to take the newest case. It's a seventeen year old boy and I have to do parking duty to earn it." 

"Well as long as you're having fun,I'm happy for you. Call me back tomorrow?" Her mom said.

(F•N) hung up on her mom and covered her face.

"Tomorrow will be a different day.."  She said into her hands.

"TOMORROW WILL PROBABLY BE WORSE!" said the unwanted comment from her next door neighbor.

"HEY,SHUT UP!" (F•N) responded back.

"Tomorrow will probably be worse."
