Hanzo POV {PLEASE REMEMBER ALL THE JAPANESE IS THROUGH GOOGLE TRANSLATE SO IF IT'S WRONG DON'T BLAME ME 😪}

It was like my third day on this new game, "Overwatch." And I had to admit it was quite fun.

I had grown fond of the character called, "Hanzo." Considering he had the same name as me.

One day, I had joined a game and noticed somebody on the enemy team was crouching in front of me and waving??

This confused me but I killed him and also started crouching, assuming it meant like, friends?

Anyway, they did it back a few times and I felt pretty happy with myself. So, I decided to add the guy called "H1GHN00N".

It took a few minutes before accepted my invite and added me to a group with the other girl.

"Join the VC" He messaged. I didn't know what that meant. My English was not that good so I decided to search it up on google translate.

"ボイスチャットに参加する" It read. I smiled to myself before joining and greeting them both, "こんにちは?" I said.

It took a second before I heard the girl say, "Uhm sorry we don't speak.. Japanese?"

It took me a minute to realise what she meant before replying. "Oh.. uhm- I see.. I said hello."

I heard the guy chuckle a little. Was he making fun of me?

"So, why did you add me?" He asked. What did he mean? Didn't he know.

"Friends." I said to him, hoping he understood.

Nobody really replied until I heard the girl clear her throat, "What? Weren't you j-". Suddenly the guy started to speak, "What she means is that we'd love to be friends with you!"

I smiled and thanked them in Japanese, "So, what's your name then?" The guy asked me.

"Hanzo." I told him.

"Like the character?" He asked me, sounding a little shocked.

"Yes, like the character. What is your name?" I asked him.

"The names Cassidy." He told me, his accent grew thicker and I felt my stomach twist a little.

"I see, and yours?" I said to the girl. She took a minute before replying, "Uhm I'm Olivia but I think I'm going to go now, bye guys."

I didn't understand half of what she said but figured she was going to leave since she said "Bye."

Me and Cassidy both said goodbye to her and she left the group.

After a little bit of talking me and Cassidy played games for about 2 hours before he told me had to go to sleep.

"So uhm Hanzo, where are you from?" He asked me, his voice clear.

"I'm from Japan." I said.

"Ah well I'm from the USA and I think it's time that I went to sleep now." He told me.

I sighed disappointedly and heard him chuckle. "I'm sorry, we can play tomorrow I swear."

I huffed before replying, "Promise?"

"Yes, I promise." He said before leaving. I enjoyed playing with him.

He taught me how to properly play and I was very thankful to have someone to teach me.

This game was very confusing. I also noticed that the Olivia girl sent me a friend request. I smiled and accepted before turning off my console and making my way downstairs.

I went into the kitchen and was greeted by my dad, "おい、ハンゾー、何か食べるか?" He asked me.

"はい、お願いします." I replied. "わかりました、今作ります。部屋に行ってください、持ってきます." I smiled and nodded, I grabbed a glass if water and made my way back up.

My dad was a very good chef so I was excited to see what he'd make me.

I scrolled through tiktok for a bit until I saw a message from the "Battlenet" app pop up.

It was Cassidy. That was weird, he said he was going to sleep. I opened the message, "Hey, can't sleep lol."

I didn't know what "lol" meant but I understood the rest pretty well. I replied, "Oh, wat time is it for you?"

"It's 00:00 (12am)." I read his message, but I didn't really know how to respond. Partly because my English wasn't very good and also because I felt a little nervous to be texting him.

I was mid sentence when all of a sudden my dad came into my room. "お昼ご飯を作りました。" It looked very good.

I thanked him and took the bowl, laying it on my lap. He had made me some Miso soup, I took a spoonful and blew on it a little before putting it in my mouth and swallowing.

I nodded to him in approval and he left my room, smiling.

Then I suddenly remembered I was supposed to be texting Cassidy.

I picked up my phone and turned it back on, "Sorry my dad made me lunch." I texted to him.

"No problem, what'd he make you?" He replied.

"Miso soup." I said. He read my message and took a second to reply, "Oh sounds delicious."

I smiled and started giggling at my phone, it felt good to know I had a friend who actually seemed interested in my life.

I'm home schooled so I don't have many friends, in real life or online. "Yeah it is, my dad is good at cooking."

I saw he reacted to my message with a thumbs up emoji. I decided to start a conversation. "Wat about your father?" I asked him.

It took him longer than usual to reply but eventually he said, "I actually have two dads." My eyes widened a little.

It wasn't often you saw that in Japan because people are pretty homophobic.

That's why I'm homeschooled. Everyone in my old school used to make fun of me for being gay, the only people who accepted me were some of my teachers and my dad.

"That's cool." I told him, not wanting to come off judgemental.

This is when I noticed all my messages were just staying on delivered.

I must've gotten lost in my thought and taken too long to reply meaning he fell asleep.

Oh well. There was always tomorrow, he promised we could play together so.
