Footsteps echoed in the empty hallway of the huge Castle. But, each step was walking with a heavy weight of sorrow and broken heart.

A slender-figured fallen angel who is having the white skin with rosy-cheeks, blonde hair with thin light coral streaks on the thicker, paler-blonde highlights, and eyes with light yellow sclera, though with red irises with very small pupils that are only visible within close-ups. His Name is Lucifer Morningstar.

He slowly walked towards the huge balcony of the Castle and looked down at the sinners. Some of the sinners were killing each other, and some of them were eating the other sinners. Some of them were having s*x in the middle of the road. Thank goodness that none of them entered the entrance of the castle.

Lucifer sighed and looked up at the heaven which shined like a moon. It indeed looked like a moon when Lucifer looked down from Hell.

The extermination just happened a week ago and yet everything was back to normal.

Lucifer: "I wish I never gave that forbidden fruit to Eve..."

He said to himself with guilt in his heart.

Lucifer: "I just wanted to help and... if I never gave that fruit, Adam and Eve's children wouldn't have ended up here nor the hell would have been created..."

He looked down in deep guilt as he could feel tears coating his eyes. Even though Heaven's Elders never listened to him, he did have a loving twin brother, Michael.

He was the only person who was there for him. Even though he didn't support his ideas, he was always there to defend him from the Elders of Heaven.

He missed his brother dearly. Lucifer looked up at Heaven again, wondering how was his twin brother doing in Heaven without him.

Lilith: "You know that I refuse to do it!"

Lucifer: "But Lilith... you know that the Royal Family must carry on the bloodline."

Lucifer said to Lilith. The two were arguing in his office because Lilith refused to give birth to children. Lilith, Lucifer’s best friend who supported his dreams was also cast down in Hell along with Lucifer as punishment for accidentally corrupting humanity. The two married each other for the sake of Hell, but never had feelings for each other.

Lucifer: "But Lilith... why do you refuse to do so...?"

Lilith: "It's because... *sigh* it reminds me of the past... how I was made to bare Adam's children..."

Lucifer looked at her with eyes wide a bit with a frown look. He looked down, realising he was doing the same thing to Lilith just like Adam.

Lucifer: "I'm so sorry Lilith... I behave just like Adam..."

Lilith smiled softly and said,

Lilith: "It's ok, you didn't know..."

Lucifer smiled softly back at her when suddenly his eyes wide and said,

Lucifer: "Idea!"

Lucifer said with a big smile on his face. Lilith looked at him confused.

Lilith: "Idea?"

Lucifer: "Yes, I have an Idea! You know that sinners can't give birth, right?"

Lilith: "Umm, ya...?

Lucifer: "I'll go to Earth, find a woman, earn her trust and then I'll tell her that I need her to give birth to a child because I am the King of umm... somewhere... heh..."

Lilith: "Umm... not a bad idea but..."

Lucifer: "Then, I'll go get ready~"

He said hoping away to his room like a child. Lilith on the other hand, just sighed not knowing if this was a good idea or not.

‒♀Later♀‒

Lucifer was ready as he opened the portal to Earth. He took a deep breath and turned to Lilith.

Lucifer: "I'll take my leave, in the meantime take care of the Palace."

Lilith: "Alright."

Lucifer: "By the way, you can come anytime whenever you want."

Lilith smiled softly and said,

Lilith: "I will. Be careful out there."

Lucifer smiled back before opening the portal and stepping inside of the portal.

After stepping out of the portal, Lucifer looked around.

A swirling vortex of darkness and fire tore through the tranquil silence of the ancient forest. From within its depths, a figure emergedβ€”tall, broad-shouldered, and impossibly elegant, despite the unnatural glow of infernal energy fading around him. His blond hair, like molten sunlight, shimmered beneath the eerie glow of the moon, and his crimson eyes flickered with barely contained irritation.

Lucifer had intended to step into a realm of luxury and pleasure, perhaps a world filled with indulgence, wine, and willing company. Instead, he had landed in what appeared to be an era long before modern civilizationβ€”old, untouched, and far too quiet for his liking.

His wings, large and immaculate, shifted behind him as he rolled his shoulders. He sighed, adjusting the cuffs of his fine black suit.

Lucifer: *in mind* 'Well, this is just splendid. Dropped into somewhere with no grand entrance, no applauseβ€”really, I should demand a refund'

A rustle in the underbrush made him pause.

His keen senses picked up movementβ€”a group of men emerging from the dense foliage, their robes hinting at nobility, their expressions twisted with a mix of greed and reverence. Their eyes locked onto his wings, and in an instant,

Man 1: "An immortal!"

One of them gasped.

Man 2: "No… an angel!"

Another whispered, eyes wide with hunger.

Man 3: "His wings must be worth a fortune!"

Lucifer blinked, momentarily caught off guard.

Lucifer: *in mind* 'They want to sell my wings?'

Before he could protest, they lunged.

Lucifer: "Oh, for Hell’s sake!"

With an exasperated groan, Lucifer turned on his heel and ran.

He tucked his wings in, weaving through the dense trees as the men gave chase, their shouts echoing in the night. His polished shoes barely made a sound against the forest floor, but damn it, he was not in the mood to be hunted like a prize bird. Without realising, he was in the city of Ancient China, he ran so fast that people didn't got to see his better sight.

After few minutes, he managed to outrun them but continued to run because if he stopped, they will find him again.

Lucifer: "I swear..."

He muttered under his breath, dodging past a cart in the narrow streets,

Lucifer: "of all the things that could happen to meβ€”"

A sharp turn. A flash of purple silk. He crashed into somethingβ€”or rather, someone.

The impact sent him stumbling backward, and before he could regain his footing, a crack of thunder illuminated the alleyway.

And then he saw her.

Dark, silky hair fell in elegant waves over her shoulders, barely disturbed by the night wind. Her robes, deep purple with intricate embroidery, clung to her graceful form. But it was her face that stopped him cold.

She was breathtaking.

Sharp, elegant features. Piercing, dark eyes that bore into his very soul. A presence so powerful it froze the air between them.

She did not gasp. She did not recoil. She simply looked at him with the cold detachment of a goddess observing an unworthy mortal.

And Lucifer Morningstar, the devil, king, fallen angel felt something he had not felt in centuries.

Instinctive fear.

Another crack of thunder.

And the Devil fainted.

Lucifer’s consciousness swam in the haze of warmth and unfamiliar scents. The heavy weight of silk pressed against his skin, and when he opened his eyes, he was met with an unfamiliar sight.

The room was large, decorated with intricate wooden carvings, delicate porcelain vases, and the soft glow of lanterns hanging from the ceiling.

The walls were adorned with paintings of cherry blossoms and rivers, bathed in moonlight. It was a vision of elegance and refinementβ€”one he certainly hadn’t expected after being chased through the streets like a rare animal.

His crimson eyes flickered to movement at the edge of his vision.

There.

Standing near a polished wooden table, watching him with the same frigid intensity as before, was her.

Lucifer nearly jumped out of bed.

Lucifer: "For Hell’s sake, could you not do that?"

The woman raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.

???: "Do what?"

Lucifer: "That!"

He gestured vaguely at her.

Lucifer: "Standing there all ominous and terrifying... it’s very unsettling."

If she was amused, she didn’t show it. Instead, she crossed her arms.

???: "Who are you? And why were those men chasing you?"

Lucifer hesitated. He could lie. He could spin a charming tale. But something about her gaze, sharp as a blade, made him reconsider.

He sighed.

Lucifer: "Well, since you’re clearly not the type to be fooled… The name’s Lucifer Morningstar. You may have heard of me. King of Hell. The Devil himself. Fallen angel extraordinaire."

There was no shift in her expression. No flicker of surprise. Only the cold glint of realization.

The woman's fingers curled around the hilt of a sword resting on the table.

In one fluid motion, she unsheathed it, the sharp edge glinting under the lantern’s glow as she leveled it at his throat.

Lucifer let out a breath.

Lucifer: "Oh, lovely..."

???: "You expect me to believe a devil simply wandered into my city?"

Lucifer: "To be fair, I didn’t plan on being here. It was an accident, I assure you."

The woman’s grip didn’t loosen.

???: "Why should I believe you?"

Lucifer: "Because if I wanted to harm anyone," he said with a slow, easy smile,

Lucifer: "don’t you think I would have dealt with those men long before they chased me into an alley?"

A pause. A flicker of consideration in her dark eyes.

Then, slowly, she lowered the sword.

Lucifer relaxed, rubbing his neck where the blade had been a moment ago.

Lucifer: "You know, that was very dramatic. Have you considered taking up theatre?"

She ignored him, turning toward the window. The moonlight cast her features in silver, making her seem even more untouchable.

???: "Rest,"

She commanded, her tone leaving no room for argument.

???: "If you truly mean no harm, then you may stay. But if you betray my trust, I will cut you down where you stand."

Lucifer smirked, leaning back against the pillows.

Lucifer: "You know, I think I like you."

She turned her head slightly, just enough for him to see the sharp glint of her gaze.

Lucifer: "By the way, m'lady. What's your name?"

The woman turned around, this time her face was calm,

???: "[Name]..."

[Name]: "[Name] Fengxian..."

Lucifer eyes wide when he saw her face in a proper way,

After saying her name, she left as Lucifer’s eyes trail on her figure.

Lucifer: *in mind* 'wow... she's way more beautiful than Lilith.'

He said to himself in his head as he could feel his cheeks getting even redder.

Little did they know, their fates had already begun to intertwine.

For in that moment, the Devil and the Ice Queen had unknowingly found their other half.
