Kassidy's POV

"Don't have time, I'll tell you everything later. Now move because I need pants or else I'm gonna be late" Juliette said as soon as she walked in "Really glad to see you too Jules" I said and laughed.

I made some cereal, sat down on our kitchen table and thought about yesterday. I was out all day trying to find a damn job and then I went for dinner with Duff. Good news: I did find a job! but of course it's a job at a bar.

It's better than nothing.

"Okay I'm ready... Uhh where are my keys I can't forget them again."
Juliette said worried "Aren't you going to eat breakfast?" "Kassidy, honey, I prefer not eating breakfast one day and starving than losing my job and making us both starve!" "Maybe now is not a good time but I need to tell you something. I got a job! Yay me..." Juliette stopped what she was doing and looked at me with a wide smile "Really? Where? Kassidy I'm so happy for you!" "Juliette you're going to be late!" "Ugh f*ck you're right. But when I come back I want to hear about it!" she said while looking at me with a serious look " You will don't worry, now do you have everything?" "Yep!" "THEN GO!" I said and pushed her out of the house and closed the door at her face.

I was doing it out of love.

I finished my cereal and thought about yesterday's dinner with Duff while washing the dishes. It's sort of a tradition for us. Every once in two weeks we go out and eat together and it's so much fun.

Oh wait. I haven't mentioned that to Jaws yet.

Wow Juliette and I have to talk about some stuff. Including the fact that she did not come home last night. She did mention the fact that she forgot her keys.

I'm guessing that idiot got locked out but where the f*ck did she stay?

I heard a knock on the door so I put a pause on the dishes and I went to open it. Once I did Duff's silhouette appeared. "What the hell are you doing here so early?" "I missed you babygirl" "Cut the crap." "I was bored" he said with a pout "Get in loser." and so he did. "Do you want some coffee?" I offered "Yeah sure" he looked at me and smiled.

That DAMN smile.

"So I'm guessing since you're here the others are not up yet" "I don't even know. Steven was definitely sleeping and Slash did not come home." "Why am I not surprised... Can I ask you something random?" "Anything" "Did Juliette sleep at your house yesterday?" "I'm pretty sure she did not" "Okay thank you. Well here you go" I said and poured coffee for both of us.

We sat and talked for hours. We laughed and laughed until Duff had to go home.

Wow time passes by quickly when I'm with him.

"Hey Kass I have something to ask you..." "What is it?" I asked curiously. "Do you like maybe wanna go out on Saturday noon" he asked nervous

Oh my goes does he mean a date?

"What do you mean?" I asked so I could be sure "Uh you know. A date. Oh my vodka I sound like a 17 year old." he said and looked at the ground embarrassed. "Sure" I said and as smile spread across my face "Wait really?" He looked at me with disbelief "Yes really, you idiotic giraffe" I laughed. "Great! I'll see you soon then." he hugged me. I felt like I was hugging a tree because he's so damn tall. Once we broke the hug he smiled, turned around and went to his apartment.

Since this was my last day as an unemployed woman I decided to do what everyone in my position would do. Eat lunch and then sleep.

Ok maybe not everyone.

Few hours passed and I woke up to the sound of  Juliette coming in.

Juliette's POV

"How long have you been sleeping?" I asked "For about 5 bloody hours" she replied and we both laughed. "I'm f*cking starving" "Have you eaten anything all day?" "Yeah..." "Juliette please tell me you actually ate" "I did! I ate one whole muffin!" "Juliette that's so not healthy!" "I know, I know! I just didn't have time to make something but I do now! I'm making pasta."

I started cooking while Kassidy was looking at the TV. Yes, looking because I know for a fact she wasn't watching whatever was playing.

"So what did you do?" I said and broke the silence filling the room "What do you mean?" she asked nervous "something is clearly bothering you." "Well I sort of have to tell you something..." "Please do tell me." "Duff came over earlier today and um..." "DID HE ASK YOU ON A DATE?" I asked shocked.

I saw it coming. Just not today.

"Maybe." she smiled and looked down, blushing. "I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT AHHH I KNEW IT, YOU GUYS ARE TOTALLY CUTE TOGETHER IT WAS ABOUT DAMN TIME DUFF GOT THE BALLS TO ASK YOU OUT!" I said with one breath "Juliette I think you're freaking out more than I am" she said and we both laughed "When's the wedding?" "Wow hold your horses cowboy" we chucked "But seriously tho when is the date" "This Saturday" "Oh my god I cannot wait!! This made my bloody day." "Bad day at work?" "You could call it that." "Juliette do you even like it?" "Yes because I'm doing what I love but the people I do it with aren't so pleasing to be around." "I get that..." "But acting is my job, I can act like I like them for a few months" I said and winked at her. "Common food's ready. So enough about me, YOU GOT A JOB" "It's at a bar, night shift, money's not great but it's good for now!" "I'm really proud of you Kass!" "By the way... You never really said anything about last night and you said you would." "Oh yeah... Not gonna lie I was hoping you'd forget that." "I'm sure you were but I did not." she said and gave me an evil smile.

Save me please.

"Well... Um... I got locked of our apartment. Yes, I am THAT dumb" "I know that. Go on" "Nothing special happened, really." "Where exactly did you sleep last night?" "At Izzy's and Axl's apartment..." I said and looked down, not wanting to meet her gaze. "Axl was at some chic's house so Izzy and I were alone" "This is getting VERY interesting" "Well nothing really happened" "I don't believe you." "Expect a hug and a kiss" I said and Kassidy chocked on her food "A KISS?" she asked shocked while coughing "I'm so sorry I should have been more clear. A kiss on the cheek" I said in between laughs. I wanted to try and contain my laughter but I couldn't. "You could have KILLED ME! I HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!" Kassidy said as she started laughing too. We were laughing our asses off.

I'm so lucky I have her in my life.

Once we stopped laughing like maniacs Kassidy said "A hug and a kiss on the cheek is not something you'd normally do tho. How come? You don't even like hugs" "I was out freezing and got locked out of my apartment. He offered me a place to stay the night and gave me a shirt that I could wear because I was soaking wet-" as soon as I said that Kassidy almost chocked again and started laughing "You were what?" she said and winked  "Oh grow up Kassidy that's not what I meant." I laughed "It was raining. Missed my bus and I got wet. I was very thankful so I hugged him and kissed his cheek." "That does sound more like you. Are you sure that's all that happened? I still have a feeling you're leaving something out." "I'm pretty positive that's all" I quickly got and went to the sink to wash my now empty plate. "Juliette Aurora Williams what are you trying to hide" "Okay I'll tell you but promise me you won't act like a teenager" "I promise. Even tho you acted like a teenager when I told you about my little date with Duff" "Oh shut up." "Common tell me!" "It's not a big deal we just slept on the same bed and he sort of wrapped his hand around me and we fell asleep like that..." I turned back to look at Kassidy which is the best decision I had ever made because her mouth and eyes were wide open and she had a priceless, shocked expression.

"Are you alright mate?" I asked and got no response "Kassidy you promised you wouldn't act like a teenager." "I-.... I have no words. You haven't had a relationship in like 2 years, it takes you MONTHS to trust someone and you wanna tell me you cuddled with a man you've known for like 5 days now? Where's my best friend and what did you do to her?" "Kassidy please calm down.  Izzy is a great guy but I still am not interested in having a relationship with someone. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to throw the trash out. Be right back" I got out of the door and bumped into someone because I was, once again, not watching where I was going. "Hey doll" "Hello there Mr. Cuddles" I said amd smiled. "Mr. Cuddles? Seriously?" he said and laughed

I didn't have to look at him to know it was Izzy.

I looked at him and saw him smiling too. Izzy really was something else. He can be very annoying sometimes but he's pretty cool and nice most of the time. He was all dressed up so I'm guessing he was heading out. One thing that caught my eye was the necklace he was wearing. "nice necklace." I said to break the ice and because I really did like it. "You like it?" he said as his eyes lit up

Okay that was the cutest thing I've witnessed.

"Yes I do. It's pretty cute"

And kinda hot not gonna lie.

"Thank you" he said amd slightly smiled "I made it actually" he added and looked at the ground. That explains why he got so excited about it. "That's pretty impressive actually. It looks really good" "Well thank you very much. Anyway how are feeling? Hope you didn't catch a cold or anything." "No don't worry I'm fine" I smiled, looked at him and our eyes met. "Glad to hear that" he said as he happily returned the smile. "Ah f*ck I'm sorry I have to go Axl is probably going to be pissed at me if I'll be late." "Oh yeah of course I'm just throwing the trash out I'm sorry for keeping you" "No don't worry. Allow me to walk you out then."

And that's exactly what he did. We talked some more until he left and we parted ways. I got back to my apartment.

"did you bump into someone? Or are you that slow" "I bumped into Izzy" "OHHHH" "Anyway I'm getting kind of tired so I'm going to head off to sleep" I said and yawned. "Night Jules" "Goodnight Kass"
