Ashish reached his office. He entered his cabin and his phone rang. He kept his stuff on the table. His phone flashed Sameer's name, the person who was going to take Ashish's interview. He answered the call.

After talking for a few minutes, he ended the call. His interview had been canceled. He groaned. At least he could have spent the day with Aditi.

His phone rang again. This time it was his college friend Raghav. He remembered hosting various college fests with him. They were the mischief makers of the whole class. Ashish smiled and answered the call.

'Yo bro!!!! Kaisa hai saale?' Ashish said cheerfully.

Raghav: 'Bhai mai theek hu.'

Ashish: 'Kaise yaad aayi meri?'

Raghav: 'Yaar woh Aarisha ka birthday hai aaj aur mai bhool gaya thha. Toh woh mujhse naraz hai. Toh aaj uski party mai tu aa payega kya? Teri fan hai na. Toh tujhe dekh ke uska gussa thoda thanda ho jayega.'

Ashish: 'Achha!! Toh girlfriend gussa hai isliye yaad aayi meri!! Ohhooo!! Saale jab mai college ke time pe gussa hota thha toh meri beizzati kiya karta thha. Uske liye tu mujhe bula raha hai. Aur mere liye kabhi 1 rupay ki eclairs leke aaya? Sahi hai beta!! Aaj teri sachhi yaari dekh li maine.'

Raghav: 'Arrey bhai! Kya tu bhi!'

Ashish: 'Nahi kuch mat bol Raghav!! Sab samaj gaya mai.'

Raghav: 'Mazak mat kar. Tu aaraha hai ki nahi?'

Ashish: 'Haa aaraha hu. Mujhe pickup karne aa. Mujhe tera address pata nahi.'

Raghav: 'Bhool gaya na tu🥺🥺?

Ashish: 'Saale tuney ghar shift kiya hai. Housewarming cermony pe nahi bulaya. Kaise pata chalega tera address?'

Raghav: 'Haa haa tere office ke bahar hi hu.'

Ashish: 'Mai nahi maanta. Tu? Aur time pe? Bhak!'

Raghav: 'Arrey bhai aaja yaar. Tere office ke bahar hi hu.'

Ashish: 'Coming.'

Ashish came out of the office. He saw Raghav waiting in his car. He went sat beside him. Raghav began driving. Soon they began spilling things that happened in the few years. They had been apart for so long. Within an hour, they reached Aarisha's house.

Raghav: Oye!! Tu yahi rukh.

He knocked the door. A tall, dark and a beautiful girl opened the door. She had a perfect figure and she looked exactly like a model. Ashish stared at her for two minutes with a little sadness on his face.

The girl was sooooooo beautiful, but she still wasnt being a comparison for his Ranisa. 'Aditi looks better.' His heart said and he blushed a little. 'That's got to be Aarisha.' He thought.

'How do you know?' His brain asked.

'Cuz..... Raghav hugged her?'

'Ohhh.. So thats the case, in that contex you are the boyfriend of every girl you hugged till today.'

'Arrey but she looks like Aarisha.'

'How?'

'Look at her. Uski shakal se samajh aa raha hai!'

'Uss hisaab se toh tera naam Chomu Chanchlani hona chahiye thha.'

'Seriously?! You are my inner voice!! How can you roast me?!'

'I say the truth. Always.'

'Shut the fuck up!! She is coming this way. Do me a favour. Keep quiet and let me handle this.'

Aarisha saw Ashish and she squealed in delight. She hugged him. Ashish hugged her back. Aarisha broke the hug and pecked Raghav on the cheeks. He flushed a little.

'Awww!!! Raghu baby! You are the best boyfriend ever!!'

'I know.'

Ashish smiled. He wished her a happy birthday. Aarisha took him in. She introduced Ashish to her friends.

Raghav: I swear that was the worst day of my life. The scariest actually. I dunno why my eyes were paining alot. So I googled it to see whether there was an explanation for it and Google told me that I had cancer!! I freaked. But then my doctor told me to calm down and it was happening just because of excessive phone usage.

Ashish: Isliye Internet pe kabhi bharosa nahi karte. It doesnt always speaks the truth.

'Yaahh!! Internet also says that you are India's best Content Creator😂😂😂.' Ashish's brain interrupted.

'Shut up!!' He said.

He looked at his watch. It was 12 a.m.!!! Shit!!! Ranisa must be waiting for him!! He hadnt even informed her that he was Aarisha's birthday party. He was about to call her when Aarisha stopped him.

Aarisha: 'Yo!!! Kya kar rahe ho?!'

Ashish: Woh raat bohot ho gayi hai. Mummy pareshaan ho rahi hogi. Isliye call kar raha thha.

Obviously he lied. He just cant go around telling people that he and Aditi were dating. Aditi had strictly told him not to do so.

Aarisha: Before you call her have this drink.

He handed him a glass.

Ashish: No thanks Aarisha. I have to drive home. I cant.

Aarisha: Its just one sip. Come on!!

Ashish tried refusing but Aarisha forced him.

'Ok!! I'll have one sip.' Ashish gave in. Aarisha made him drink the whole glass. After a few minutes, Ashish felt woozy. His vision blurred. His thoughts were blocked. He went inside a room. He tried calling Aditi but Aarisha snatched the phone out of his hand.

'Na na na. I know you are calling your live-in girlfriend.' She said in flirtatious tone. Aarisha stepped closer to him. Ashish stood there numb. His brain ached. His vision was blurry. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer.

Ashish took a deep breath. His vision blurred even more. 'D.. Did.. you mix.. something.... in that drink?' He managed to say.

'Just a sleeping pill bae.' She cooed. Ashish pushed her. He grabbed his phone from her and ran to the door. But the door was locked. He tried but it wont open. He looked at her in frustration. She laughed.

Aarisha walked towards Ashish. She wrapped his hand around her waist. She pulled him closer to her.

'Raunak...' Aarisha whispered in his ears. Ashish's brain gave in. He saw Aditi in her place. His breath fastened. Without thinking anything else, he kissed her. Deep and hard.

Present:

Aditi hugged Ashish. He burried his face in her chest. His hands wounded around her and his grip was like ironclad. He didnot want to lose her. The fear had set in. He sobbed.

'I am sorry Ranisa. Plz forgive me. It was an accident. I kissed her thinking it was you. I was not in my senses. I-' He wanted to say more but Aditi silenced him with a kiss.

'I trust you, Raunak.' She smiled.
