"Katsuki....Katsuki?" You were trying to get his attention, but he seemed so fixated on a rock merely just lying on the ground. Scoffing, you kicked the rock away, that got his attention.
"What?!" He asked, a nasty tone in his voice.
"Your zoning out again, I'm trying to talk to you." You say, tugging on his shirt when he looked away again.
He sighed angrily and looked at you again. He seemed to angry with you for no reason. You wondered why he was acting in this way. You only wanted to talk with him and he's treating you like this.
"What's wrong? Is there something I can do to help?" You ask, trying to get him to focus on you.
"Shut up and leave me alone." He walked away from you.
Confused to his behaviour, you left him be. He was still jumpy after all the villain stuff and All Might. He seemed more or less okay when he somehow make Denki short-circuit. You were dorm rooms now, in case you missed that.
While Mina and everyone was downstairs talking about their rooms. You were knocking over and over again on Katsuki's door. You weren't sure if he was asleep or not.
"Katsuki! If you don't le-...you know what, I'm coming in." You shoved the door open and slammed it shut.
Katsuki was sitting on his bed with his phone. He looked up to you before peering back down at his phone. Huffing, you walked over and sat on his bed. Katsuki looked offended when you did so. You're arms found their way to become crossed.
"Why are you so distant? I only want to help." You say, wanting to get closer to Katsuki, but you stay put where you were.
"Why would I want help?! Do you think I need it now?!" Katsuki asked, growling at you.
"Seriously? What did I do? Are you having a bad day or something?" You ask, expanding your arms.
"No,I mean yes- NO!" He couldn't decided.
"Well? Which is it? Yes or no? Make up your mind?!" You started putting pressure on him.
"Would you just stop being clingy for once in your life?! Fuck off and leave me alone! What can't you understand!?" He let out a yell, his quirk going off a small bit.
"Clingy?! Did you really just call me clingy?!" You started to yell back at him. You closed your eyes and breathed out a small bit, not letting your emotion get the better of you. "I'm going to leave and your gonna think of a reason as to why you fucked up."
You slam the door again and you could hear the elevator ding, you quickly ran down two doors to get to your room. You slam the door shut again, and grab a pillow, screaming into it. You didn't let out much of a loud one though, since the others could hear that one if you truly screamed loud enough.
What the hell was wrong with Katsuki, why is he acting so cold and distant. What was his deal?!
You heard the class walk past your door.
"What was that about?" Uraraka's muffled voice asked, she was probably talking to the class.
"I don't know, was she screaming?"
Aoyama taking it upon themself to talk to you through the door with French.
"รtes-vous bien lร -dedans, aimeriez-vous peut-รชtre profiter du fromage?" Aoyama asked.
"Je ne veux pas de fromage ! Laisse-moi tranquille pour l'instant, je suis occupรฉ !" You yell out so they can hear you.
"Vous รชtes sรปr?" Aoyama asked trying their best to get you involved.
"Aoyama! Je vais bien, vraiment!" You yell out.
"mais รชtes-vous-" Aoyama begins, but yoi cut them off
"Aoyama! Passez juste ร la piรจce suivante ! Pour l'amour de Dieu !" You snap slightly. "Dรฉsolรฉ."
"Ok alors." Aoyama says, switching back to a language everyone knows. "She has busy things to do, let us move on."
You let out a sigh and run your fingers through your hair. It was early and all but you've had a long day so you got ready to sleep.
You laid down in your bed and wrapped yourself in the covers. Sleep took a while, but you eventually fell into a deep slumber.
You woke up in the middle of the night. Your throat was dry and you knew you needed water, silently and quickly, you dragged the covers off your limp body and and hovered your legs over the edge of the bed.
You stretched a small bit, your elbows cracking as you did. You hopped of the bed and moved to the door, opening it and closing it as you went. You walked to the elevator and pressed the bottom floor. When the doors opened, you walked out and tip-toed to the kitchen. When you reached the counter, you reached for a glass and poured water in for yourself.
When you finished the water, you placed it down on the counter and slowly slide down the side of the counter. You let out a shaky breath you didn't know you were holding. Hearing a creak in the floorboard, you shot up and used your quirk to control a knife over to the maker of this noise. Your eyes were wary all of a sudden.
"Y/n!" it was Todoroki. "What are you doing?!"
He was wearing sweat pants and a plain grey top, his hair was slightly messy and his left eye was slightly more shut than his other.
"Oh- I'm sorry, I thought you were- sorry." You apologise and bring the knife back. "You may go do your business."
You place the glass in the sink and walk past Todoroki, you were stopped abruptly when he placed a gripped on your wrist. You looked at him in confusion, the dull light of the moon and lights outside barely lit up his face, but he was looking at you with narrowed eyes.
"Why are you crying?" He asked, pointing with his other hand at your face.
"What? I'm not..." You wipe your face and felt the cold wet substance on your cheeks. "...crying."
"Are you...okay?" Todoroki asks.
"I'm fine, I just need to sle-"
"You clearly not okay. What happened?" He was being nice to you, this was a change.
You looked him up and down before sighing and shaking your head a bit. It would be better to tell someone who doesn't care that much and wouldn't tell anyone, then someone who would tell the teachers.
"I just wanted some water." You said.
"And that's why your crying?" Todoroki didn't sound impressed.
"No, I just...I'm sorry if I woke you up." You went to leave, but Todoroki tightened his grip on your forearm.
"Listen..Midoriya told me recently to try and...make you happy? He said that we got off on the wrong foot and I should try and fix that, do you understand that?" Todoroki said, his face getting more and more confused.
"And you want to do that now?" You questioned him.
"Well, considering that your upset at the moment, wouldn't it be a good idea to try and restart?" Todoroki says.
He was honestly trying so hard to become a better person. You sighed and looked to the ground, walking back to him slowly.
"Why are you crying" Todoroki asks again.
"I didn't even know I was crying." You sniffed and rub your nose.
You look down and play with your hands. Why were you crying? You hadn't cry in so long, it's felt like years. Your hands were shaky and balled in fists, you felt angry as well. Todoroki was quiet for a few seconds before he peeped up.
"I read somewhere that when you express emotion without realising it, it means that you've built it up for so long, your walls are breaking down." He says, getting quieter after each passing word.
"My walls aren't breaking down." You say, rolling your shoulders back.
"I'm just saying." Todoroki puts his hand up in defence. " I can see I'm not doing too well, maybe if you want me to collect Bakugo for yo-"
"No! No, I'm fine, really." You blurted out, cutting the half and half boy off.
"You said that rather quickly. Is there something wrong between you and Bakugo? I've noticed you don't seem to talk as much." Todoroki puts a hand on his chin, tapping it slightly.
"He was kidnapped by villain, of course I expect him to be distance around me, he knows about my pas-, I mean, he is jumpy of all things now, he more on edge." You say, recounting all the times you were around him.
"Is he? I mean, he seemed fine earlier. He was smirking more or less." Todoroki said, without realising how much of a bitch he sounded like.
"He is being lethargic around me.... isn't he. He is being so apathetic." Your eyes were slowly becoming glossed over. He was acting different around you know, acting like the very first few seconds you laid eyes on him. When he wasn't even paying attention to you, instead he was just looking out the window.
"Oh- Um...no, he- ur, he's just-" Todoroki tried to make you feel better, but he didn't know what to say.
Katsuki used to always be in sight of you, you were always in his view. Now, he wouldn't even glance your way. He was become cold and distant with you. It broke your heart. An air of melancholy surrounded you.
"Does he not like me anymore?" You questioned, your lower lip trembling. All your life, you've felt pain and had some scars to show off, now, your in pain and you have no scars. It hurts you so much, nothing like this has ever hurt so bad when those words played out of your mouth.
Todoroki didn't know what to say. He couldn't give you an answer, he didn't have an answer. He did his best to try and comfort you, but that was the one thing he couldn't answer.
A look of sympathy washed over Todoroki's face. He watched you fight back the tears and try not to cry, he couldn't understand why you were trying to hard to not cry.
He gently pulled you closer to him and wrapped his arms around you, resting your head on his shoulder. It took you a few moments before you hugged him back.
Todoroki patted your head as you cried and sobbed. All you could do was hope that he didn't do the same thing tomorrow in front of everyone. You were already embarrassed that you were crying in front of Todoroki.
He stood with his head downcast.
His fists were balled and shaking. He was meant to be there, not Todoroki. He leaned against the door frame with an angry expression under the dark shadow over his eyes. He angrily got up from his leaning state and walked back to his room. Katsuki Bakugo was truly mad now.
