Disclaimer - (Cause fanfiction is tricky ground and I hope not to offend the creator of the original story and get sued)

This is a fanfiction, a work of fiction. It is an unofficial, non-canon alternate story based on Riichiro Inagaki's story "Dr. Stone". Most of the media - such as the images and video's used in this fanfiction - are from the web. Thus, most of them aren't mine (because I really, really can't draw) unless mentioned. To fit the story, images are also edited by the photo editor. So they aren't mine, just edited.

Have you ever written something from the back of your head, and then realize oh sh** these were someone else's words. Yeah, that just happened to me, my disclaimer no less. Anyway, like 40% of this disclaimer belongs to KairuSui from quotev

Also if you own a picture or Video that I found online, and you either want your name added, or me to take it down. Please contact me and we can talk it out.

P.s. I also ask that you do not copy my work and publish it onto any other website If you're gonna use my idea, please ask me (I'll 99.99% say yes unless you're super duper rude). If I don't contact you within a week, then just assume I'm giving you the all clear and go for it. Just remember to credit me.

I will be writing out scenes even if my Oc isn't in them. As long as she's mentioned, or influencing the characters in some way. This may seem a bit annoying. But that's just how I write. I like to embed my characters into the story line.

Warnings: Spoilers for episode 13, Slow burn,

{Third P.O.V.}

The next day, while the kingdom of science was getting ready for the long day ahead of them, the people in the village were doing the same.

"It's finally time." The Chief says, watching the villagers prepare for the Grand Bout. "Your husband, the new village chief, will be chosen by tomorrow. Isn't that right, Ruri!"

"Yes." The girl answered from behind him.

"Turquoise! Are the preparations for the Grand Bout proceeding well?" He asked the wife of the vice-chief.

"Yes." The woman answered, and then frowned, "Well, yes... The preparations are, at least. That said..." the woman turned to her husband and smacked him on the shoulder, "Why is Kohaku competing again?! You need to tell her she can't!"

"Any one over fourteen and not yet married can participate. The sole exception to that rule is the medic. The sacred rules of the Grand Bout are immutable." The man answered, looking forward.

"No one expected a girl to complete!" The father of the soon-to-be-bride exclaimed from behind them. "Well, let's let it be. A man who can't even defeat a woman isn't fit to fill the seat of the village chief, anyway." He says, walking down the stairs. Despite his words, the current chief couldn't help but send a quick prayer to the gods, thanking them for the fact that the previous medic wasn't here to hear his words. Actually, it's a good thing the current one wasn't here either, she was her mentor's student after all.

Jasper hesitated, as he thought of the last problem. And decided to bring it up carefully, "Chief, there's actually one more problem."

"Hm?"

"There's a new contestant." He said, cursing himself for not being more careful. He should have recognized the tone in Rika's voice as she asked him to recite the rules of the Grand Bout.

"Your participation in the Grand Bout?!" Kohaku asks, shocked after Senku drops the bomb in them.

Rika sends the girl a small smile. "I was surprised to. But I suppose I should have known that you would want to enter, when you had me ask Jasper about the rules. Turns out, there's nothing about outsiders not being allowed to participate."

"I signed him up!" Ginro cakaled. "Senku is fourteen and unmarried, after all!"

"Yeah, like Rika said, there's no rule that says you have to be a villager." Senku adds, making the same face as Ginro as he locks wrists with the blond.

Rika sighs, "You really think that after Kohaku, they would make the rules a little stricter." she shrugs, "But who cares, it works for us."

"Since when have Senku and Ginro been so close?" Suika asks, confused.

"Their skeevy sids brought them together." Kohaku says, cupping her head in an effort to slow down the coming headache. "But, Senku, you aren't a very capable fighter."

Senku chuckles, "I don't plan on winning." He says bluntly. "I just want to tire them out."

"Plus, if we go up against each other..." Ginro says excitedly, as he explains his plan about just booping Senku once, and him giving up. "We move up without breaking a sweat!" He says, causing his brother to pale. "The more contestants on our side, the better! Right?!"

"Y-Your Ruffin the game." Kinro says shakily. "Your way to underhanded, Ginro."

Rika sighs, "Normally I would be against this too. But we don't have time to debate about what's right and what's wrong. Ruri's life is one the line!" The brunette says fiercely.

Kinro glared at her, "Either way, even with worthy goals, rules are rules. I'm not going to lose on purpose to rig the game."

To his surprise the two sleeve bags laugh even more, "Of course, of course!"

"You look like the best bet to win against Magma anyway, Kinro." Senku says, offering him a hand like the snake who offered Eve the fruit from the forbidden tree. "Save your energy and make it to the top."

Ginro nods, following his lead, "You don't need to cheat, Kinro. We're just going to be all like 'Marcy!' Got a problem with that?"

To add the finishing blow, Rika comes up behind him and says, "Kinro, technically speaking, we aren't breaking any rules."

"None of you look very righteous." He says shakily. He breaks free from them and runs a few steps forward. "Kohaku! What about you? Are you fine with tarnishing the game by rigging it?"

"Well, I mean..." Kohaku begins, clearly being for rigging.

Rika glares at Kinro, "This isn't a game." She says seriously, "Ruri's life is on stale. So if it means bending some rules, then I'm all for it."

Kohaku nods, "If it improves Ruri-nee's chances of surviving, even just a little..." waking away.

After two hours, the preparations were all complete. Rika smiled, as for the first time since he came here, Ginro and Kinro, let Senku cross the bridge and enter the village.

Kohaku chukled, "It's been nearly half a year since he arrived. Finally..."

Rika nodded, "Can't help but feel a little sentimental. It's been so long..."

'Yet I can't help but feel like I've known him my whole life.' Rika though.

"I'm setting foot in the village for the first time." Senku said, "It's the first step."

Rika, Chrome, Suika and Kohaku greeted him with open arms.

I only realised as I was writing this chapter, that I messed up the trimmings a bit. So sorry about that.

I know this way shorter than my usual, but I felt like this was a good note to end the chapter at.
