Upon flying back home with the assistance of Benji, you found yourself in a flurry of thought regarding the strange man who had basically stolen your cake. As you glanced towards the direction from where the closed library was at, a look of vexation crossed your features. Musing over how on Earth he could have been so bold and daring.
It suddenly struck you who that tall stranger from the library could beβit was no other than Buddha. Your cheeks flushed with a simmering heat of embarrassment and rage. How could you have failed to recognize him? His well-worn apparel and familiar visage should have been a dead giveaway. After all, hadn't you studied the tales of Buddha in the archives?
"Did... Was that Buddha?!" Everything seemed to come together, making it seem like he was laughing at you with his face lighting up with life.
When landing your island, you were still angry over the day's events. The villagers sensed it and did their best to steer clear of you. You took out paper and pen to write a letter to Zeus, full of your indignation and displeasure at meeting Buddha earlier. You hoped that Zeus could sort out this mess and deal with Buddha.
Dear Zeus,
An infuriating occurrence transpired today. I encountered another deity at the archives, one perhaps familiar to you - Buddha. He was a bothersome being; he entered the archives and refused to depart, not heeding my warnings. He even had the audacity to name-call me.
Alas, it took the sacrifice of my freshly made chocolate cake for the god to leave. I fear he will visit again or he will blabber to the other gods about me.
Such a scary thought. Please talk to him.
Sincerely, (Y/n)
You rolled up the letter and sent it through the small machine box. It was an oval shape with a few glowing buttons and a small glass door, it was a message box. It materialized the letter into mini atoms and it beeps, signaling you it sent the message.
You paused, listening intently for the familiar chime of the machine. His message arrived quickly, and as you read his words a blazing heat filled you with rage. In response, you crumpled up the letter and cast it on top of a candle lit fire.
It was a sloppy smiley face, with its tongue sticking out and a crooked peace sign. Its message? "Nope!"
"That old man..." you huff, the fake smile of yours twitching as you watch the letter burn.

A week flew by in a flurry of anticipation, as (Y/n) prepared herself for the upcoming party hosted by Zeus. She would much rather not attend, but it had been ages since she last attended a more formal event. Perhaps this time around she could actually enjoy herselfβin secret of course.
She was adorned in a majestic gown of black and gold, the gradient gracefully cascading from her head to toe. A large hat with a transparent veil flowed down to her ankles, completing her ensemble. She completed the look with simple gold flats, black gloves, and an elegant black cloth mask that concealed her face.
(A/N: Drawn by me :3)
"You look lovely as always, Lady (Y/n)," spoke a gentle voice.
"Thank you," she chuckles softly, "I'm not looking forward to this party, but oh well. It has been a while since I've experienced the joy of festivities."
"If you ever feel nervous, let us know and we'll be there to pick you up." reassure the voice.
She turned to the speaker, her gaze gentle. "Of course, Visel. I'm not afraid of going, merely irked."

A majestic, winged carriage drawn by Pegasus arrived to take you away. Hermes, the messenger of the gods, was there to greet you and offer his hand. He looked questioningly at your outfit, but you kept silent as he helped you into the carriage.
Once arriving, you beheld the small and big gods alike, gathering in a joyous congregation outside the hallowed halls of Zeus. Hermes emerged first and extended his hand to help you out of the carriage, blinking with admiration at your choice of attire which cloaked you like a velvety void in a star-speckled night sky. His brows furrowed briefly as his gaze wandered from your head to toe before he seemed to shake it off with an amused hum.
"I'm curious..." he said softly, "Why did you choose to seclude yourself from everyone?"
Hermes had pondered the question for so long, and even his father seemed unable to provide a clear answer.
"Hm? She ran away from her responsibilities haha! She couldn't handle the pressure."
"She has a dark secret~"
"I don't know, maybe she got bored."
He admired and respected his father, Zeus, yet at times Hermes found himself tiring of his father's shenanigans. Always curious but not quite sure how to approach you, he now summoned the courage to ask while the fate of your identity was hanging in the balance at Zeus' party.
Your finger presses lightly against your clothed lips, pondering the question. "Ah, I do believe it is because I desired a life of ease and tranquility," you replied after a moment's reflection. "A life unconstrained by annoying gods breathing down my neck." The mere thought of being unburdened from those invisible shackles brought a feeling of sublime joy in your veins.
Hermes blinked, unable to make out your features under the veil of ebony fabric. He could only envision you beaming with a grin at your own response.
"My lady," he stammered. "I do not wish to be rude, but your goddess hood is a blessing beyond comparison; you faced harsh trials but gained infinite rewards. I do not understand why you will choose to leave such an important life"
You stroll past him, murmuring, "That's why I left. I'd rather take my own sweet time when working - all the gods just wouldn't stop pestering me to hurry." You laugh softly.
"Now, lead the way, Hermes."
He held out his arm for you and you gladly took it, interlocking your own around him. "With my pleasure. Lady (Y/n)."

The party was truly a sight to behold. The air was alive with laughter and music, and the walls were adorned with dazzling gold floral designs that glittered in the light. The gods from a myriad of Pantheons dancing and drinking around, joyously reveling in each other's company. Any mortal will be blessed with the chance to behold such a majestic event. It was an awe-inspiring vision, but it was delightful to see the beloved faces of those you have read about in the archives.
You and Hermes moved swiftly through the crowd of gods, weaving between them with agility. Hermes shielded you from view as he guided you around any clusters of too many gods. Careful to keep hidden from sight, Hermes kept close enough that no one could separate him from you.
Hermes guided you to the dining area, where the atmosphere was serene compared to the rest of the bustling celebration.
"Yohoo~" A drunk voice sang out and your gaze was drawn to Zeus, gesturing animatedly with a cup of wine in one hand that was sloshing everywhere as he moved, "Over here"
"Oh? He's already tipsy?" You chuckle in delight as you and Hermes approach the ornate table. It stood out from the other tables, being significantly longer and adorned with beautiful flowers and gold tableware. At the table, a drunken Zeus occupied one seat, while Odin tried to remain composed despite Zeus' wild behavior. Beside Odin sat a tall man with vibrant red hair, seemingly unfazed by all that was happening around him.
"Oho~ You made it!" said Zeus, "I was beginning to think, you'd be a hermit forever, (Y/n)!"
"Don't call me that." you deadpanned, glaring at Zeus through your cloth mask that seemed to amplify the power of your stare, as he called you by your name.
"(Bad/Nickname)!"
"No"
"(2nd Bad/Nickname)?"
"No."
"Just leave her alone," said Odin, sensing your dangerous aura.
Hermes gestured to the chair between Odin and Zeus, offering it as a seat for you. "Please, have a seat my lady, I'll be sure to bring you your meal. Would you like some wine perhaps? Or honey mead?"
"I'll take a (Fave/drink)," You delicately took a seat, careful to not wrinkle your dress.
Hermes nodded, flashing you a charming smile as he stood to fetch your requested drink and food.
"We're surprised you actually decided to come, especially at Zeus' residence," said Munnin.
"Yeah, what gives? Why don't you ever come to our place?!" said Huginn.
"Hm?" you ponder, tapping your chin. "I wanted to look at the gods I had only ever read about before in books. So many new and old faces," you recall fondly, remembering the joyous laughter of the deities as they gathered together at the entrance.
"Has anyone piqued your interest?" Zeus asked, his white eyebrow arching with amusement and a hint of teasing.
You vividly remember when Buddha, the divine figure, found your archives room and took your cake before you had a chance to enjoy it. It was incredibly vexing to witness him and you couldn't help but glare at the boozed up deity who didn't intervene, "Well, perhaps..." You trail off.
As you conversed with Zeus and the crows, Odin stayed wordlessly in the background, letting his birds do the talking. Meanwhile, the red-headed man stared at you with a mix of confusion and sternness, seemingly shocked that you'd be so relaxed in the presence of powerful gods. You conversed with them as if years of friendship had been woven between you.
Who were you, anyways? Your garments gracefully covered your form completely, obscuring what divine presence lay beneath the fabric. Were you a god or something else? His presence had been completely overlooked, though he did not care - he was mainly confused by how this unknown stranger had so quickly shifted the atmosphere in the room. Even his father, who normally wore a stern expression, appeared pleasant and content in your presence? It almost made him sweat a bit. Almost.
Then Hermes arrived, bringing you a lavish spread of succulent meats and vibrant greens, plus an indulgent cup of (Fave/Drink). He settled beside the intoxicated Zeus, preparing to pour him another round of wine.
The night lingered on, as you conversed with only the three Gods, Hermes, Zeus and Odin with his crows. Then there was the mysterious red-headed man who kept silent, his piercing gaze never wavering from you. He seemed desperate to uncover your identity, wanting to know if he had ever crossed paths with you or if he recognized you from the legends he will hear. If only he had x-ray vision then maybe he could have seen through your mask of clothing and revealed the truth.
"Odin...please tell your son to stop staring at me... he's been looking at me the whole night"
Suddenly, all eyes were on him.

Odin gazed at you admiringly. "That dress looks beautiful on you."
You beamed in appreciation as he spoke to you, "Oh! Thank you!"
Zeus interjected playfully, "I'm sure it would look even better on Odin's floor"
Odin and his crows were in disbelief by Zeus' comment, their eyes widening in shock. Odin cast a disdainful glare at Zeus "Are...are you hitting on (Y/N) for me?"
