"Odin...please tell your son to stop staring at me... he's been looking at me the whole night"

Suddenly, all eyes were on him.

The man with the shock of red hair fought to maintain his composure. He could feel the eyes of everyone at the table boring into him, so he reluctantly raised his cloak to cover the lower part of his face.

"Caw! Don't you have any manners?! It's rude to stare!" said Munnin.

"Don't embarrass Lord Odin!" added Huginn.

"My apologies," he murmured, his voice gentle and deep, "I don't believe we've been properly introduced..."

"That's fine..." You raised the bottom of your black mask slightly, revealing your lips as you took a sip of your favorite beverage. Your voice was gentle as you spoke softly, "Though we have never met. I know who you are, Thor."

A smile graced your lips.

Thor furrows his brow in confusion, then turns to his father, Odin, for an explanation.

Odin closed his eyes, reassuringly declaring, "No need to worry about her. She's an old friend of mine."

"Ah, I understand now," Zeus said, snapping his finger as realization dawned on him. "This must be your first time meeting her. Whoops."

"Yes, I was wondering why he was here," You gaze upon Zeus and Hermes, though your black mask concealed the intensity of your glare, "But as long as no one else questions my presence, It should be fine."

"Forgive me, (Y/n)," Hermes said softly, keenly aware of your displeasure, "I had no idea he would be joining us at the table."

Thor turned to you, ignoring Hermes. "Who are you?," he asked, searching his mind for the name Zeus had used earlier. Was it (Bad/Nickname)? What a strange name, he thought to himself.

Odin's voice was stern as he said, "I said not to concern yourself," his gaze falling upon his son.

"No No," you say, with a gentle wave of your hand. " It's fine. You can just call me Lady (Nickname)."

He had many questions, but at least he now had a name, "Very well..." he murmured.

Zeus let out a laugh. "There's no need to be so serious, Thor. Let's just have fun! Why don't you go join Sif and leave us grownups, hehee"

Thor had a look of annoyance on his face as he gazed upon Zeus.

"No." Thor said, not budging from his seat. He will worry about his father's lectures later.

Odin watched him, before turning back to you. "My apologies, Lady (Nickname)," he said, "It seems I must be more vigilant in my teaching of manners"

"I said it's fine," you laughed. "I'm delighted to finally meet the one who wields MjΓΆlnir. Your father speaks highly of you every time we meet. I must say you're quite handsome"

Thor shifted uncomfortably and he looked away in embarrassment, but not without a small smile on his face. It seemed that even if Thor wasn't the most outgoing person, he still enjoyed praise.

"Ah, it seems like Lady (Nickname) has taken a liking to you, Thor," despite Hermes's teasing tone, his fists clenched tightly behind him, his forehead creasing with a hint of jealous envy. "How charming."

Zeus' cup shook wildly in the air as he sloshed wine onto the table. "Enough of this chit-chat!" he declared. "I may be an old geezer, but it's time to show these young gods how to party!" With a large grin on his face, he strode towards the exit of the dining hall and into the dancing area, ready to prove to the other Gods why he is the Godfather of the Cosmos (With his dance moves).

Sighing in defeat, Hermes decided that he must pursue his father before he hurts someone, "If you'll excuse,"

It was just the three of you, five if you include the crows. You couldn't help but notice that Thor and Odin were unmistakably father and son; they had matching eyes but it was their shared solemnity that really sealed the deal. You watched them, back and forth, with an amused smile as both relished their new found moment of silence.

"Hehe..." A giggle escaped your lips, drawing the attention of the Norse pantheons. You quickly covered your mouth to quell the bubbly laughter that threatened to escape.

"What's so funny?" asked Muninn.

"Are you drunk already?" Asked Huginn

"No haha!" You laugh, taking a moment to compose yourself. "It's just that, when I look at Thor up close, he reminds me so much of Odin in his youth. You two are even quite similar in your behavior."

Both men's faces were filled with confusion as they stared at you. "He is my son," Odin spoke softly, "I'm unsure of what you'd expected."

You rose to your feet and went up towards Thor to meet his gaze. Thankfully, he was sitting so you could look him in the eye without having to strain your neck due to the height difference. Odin and his crows watched silently, their eyes full of questions and anticipation.

Startling everyone in the table, you cup Thor's face with your gloved hands, pulling him close to take in each and every one of his features.

The two crows cried out in shock, and even Odin was taken aback by your bold move. Yet he remained still and silent.

"Caw! What are you doing?!" gasp Munnin.

"You're drunk aren't you!!" Yelled Huginn.

Thor was taken aback when you cupped his face between your hands, though you were mere inches away from his gaze, the mask still obscure your features. Still, he could make out the silhouette of your eyes and nose.

"No, I'm not drunk, I'm just curious" you hum in thought.

"You've been out of touch from the Gods for so long that you don't know how to treat one," cawed Huginn.

"That's very rude! You can't just grab a God's face!" Scolded Munnin

You take in Thor's features, ignoring the caws of two crows nearby, tenderly brushing aside his long, fiery locks with your thumbs to view more of his face. "Hmm, you have the eyes of a fighter, but why do they look empty"

Thor gazed at you, his eyes widening in surprise. "What?" he murmured.

"No... not empty..." you mumbled, "more like bored"

"Let him be, (Nickname)" Odin said, sensing his son's discomfort at your intimate proximity.

"Forgive me," you murmur, releasing your grip. "Although you two may share resemblance, it is plain to me that his ambitions are different"

"You're so weird!" Said Huginn. Muninn nodded in agreement.

You gracefully returned to your seat, leaving Thor dazed and impressed by your courage. He couldn't believe you had the audacity to touch his face - a daring but foolish move. But surely, you weren't afraid of him if you could so calmly converse with Odin and Zeus and caress his face. He could not deny the curiosity he felt for you made him feel a strange combination of amazement, confusion and admiration.

"Wohoo," Zeus clumsily made his way to his seat, Hermes following closely with an empty cup and Zeus' cane.

He sang a jolly tune as he sat down in his seat and shot you and the other two gods a puzzled look. "Were the three of you just sitting here? Such killjoys," he scolded with a pout.

"I didn't even want to be here," you stated.

"You are far too old to have such wild festivities" said Odin.

"I was dragged here," mumbled Thor.

The three of you exchange bemused glances, shaking your heads in disbelief at the drunk Godfather.

"It seems that is getting late," you said, swirling your cup in delicate circles by your fingertips, even though it was now empty, "I should head home soon."

"Going so soon?" whined Zeus, "But you just got here."

Your eyes narrowed at him as you uttered the words, "I arrived four hours ago."

"I shall escort you to your carriage," Hermes offered, "though I regret that I cannot join you on your way home"

He firmly grasped his father's shoulders, making sure he didn't fall from his seat. "I must ensure that he is properly looked after," he said.

Hermes couldn't join you for the festivities tonight because of his father, but he wanted to make sure your identity was safe as you ventured out. His heart was warmed by the thought of being able to accompany you on your way, wrapping his arm around yours and silently guiding your path. The evening ahead of him suddenly seemed more desirable now than ever before, because it meant a chance to be by your side and appreciate those brief few moments together. He looked forward to this journey they would share, even if it was going to be short.

His small fantasy was interrupted by Odin.

"No need," said Odin.

"Leave it all to us!" said one of the Crows.

"We'll make sure she gets home safely!" said the other one.

Odin looked to Thor, "Go find Loki and return to the temple without me; I'll be there soon enough."

"You don't have to do that, Odin. I'm sure you're tired," you said.

"Yes," Hermes was seething with envy, but he kept his composure. "You need not trouble yourself, Lord Odin. It's best that you leave it to me. You are our guests, after all." The thought of you leaving here without him sent a wave of jealousy coursing through his veins. He desperately wanted the moment to be with you alone and wasn't about to let it slip away; even if it would only be a short moment.

Thor could feel the thick air between Odin and Hermes, not fully understanding the cause. He spoke up, offering what he believed would be a better resolution.

"Father," he started, gaining everyone's attention, "Maybe I should take Lady (Nickname) back-"

"No!" came the unified chorus of panic voices. You, Hermes, the crows and even his father had all spoken at once. He was bewildered, unsure why they were all against the idea. Sure, he wasn't the most sociable God, but he still had manners.

You politely clear your throat to maintain a calm façade, "That is fine, I'm more than capable of going by myself."

"Eh?" Zeus, who had been drunk and slumbering, opened his eyes in bewilderment. "You're still here?"

"I was just about to depart," you inquired as you began to stand.

"Ah! I suggest taking Odin with you," he attempted to point with his digit, but his intoxicated state made it difficult to direct. "I'm sure he would be delighted in accompanying,"

Hermes was a bit baffled, "But father, I was already planning on taking Lady (Nickname)"

"Eh? What for? Are you going to leave your poor old father here all alone?" whined Zeus.

Hermes sighed in defeat, "Of course not"

"Then that settles it," said Odin "I shall make sure she makes it home safely."

Odin commands Thor to search for Loki and return home. Thor silently takes his leave, giving you a parting nod in acknowledgment as he strides out the door.

"Sorry about this, Odin" You chuckled, "I'll make sure to reward you with some (Fave/food)!"

"No need," he proclaimed, and gracefully motioned towards the exit of the dining hall.

"Oh! (Bad/Nickname)!" Zeus called out to you with a cheerful wave, trying his best to catch your eye before you could depart.

You paused mid-step and made a disapproving sound at the nickname, your voice gentle yet dripping with warning. "Zeus, I said not to call me that."

He disregarded your warning voice and said, "I just wanted to ask if you will be attending the God's Council Meeting, it's close approaching."

"Of course not," you replied with a hint of finality, "It's been eons since I attended one and I don't intend to start now."

You had kept away from such large gatherings since you secluded yourself. It was too unpredictable in comparison to Zeus's celebrations, where you were sure that he and Hermes would safeguard you. The Gods' Council meeting was too daunting for your liking. Every God from every Pantheon was present, and you worried that someone would become suspicious of you. But you knew that no matter what happened, Humanity would be spared by the Gods - as it always had been for centuries.

"Okay then, don't come crying to me when your island of humans ends up dead," Zeus shrugs his shoulders.

You stopped and glared at the Old god, seething anger emanating from your covered eyes, "Excuse me?"

"The Gods are getting restless," mused Zeus as he ran his hands through his beard, "Mankind is no longer what it once was. Even I'm getting tired of them."

You scowl at him through your mask, "It seems you had a bit too much to drink, Zeus."

Odin and Hermes didn't spare you so much as a glance, turning their backs and hiding their disdain. Both silently agree with Zeus that humanity had tumbled too far to expect redemption. No amount of punishment or acts of godly are enough to make them change their ways. An eerie, unsettling sensation filled the room as silence descended upon them.

Finally, Zeus spoke, "Well, it doesn't matter if you are there or not. I think I know what the results will be" he gave you a menacing grin, "But if you do decide to show up, I'll make sure to reserve a seat for you like always."

"Whatever," You rolled your eyes and began to stride away, Odin in tow. You paused and said sweetly, "Oh, and Zeus?"

"Hm?"

"If you lay so much as a finger on anyone on my island, I'll kill you", you walked out from his view.

Hermes stayed silent, his jaw dropping in shock at the sudden shift in your tone. He glanced over to his father who was chuckling away, seemingly unfazed by your threat.

"Hehehe, what a foolish girl,"

Thor ventured deep into Zeus' vast palace, his eyes scanning the many faces of the intoxicated Gods in search of his troublesome cousin. He soon caught sight of him, mirthfully drifting through the air and taunting a helpless minor God who was likely too drunk to understand what was occurring. His laughter filled the space as he carried on with his mean-spirited jest. Thor felt a deep sense of annoyance at this display; he could already feel a headache forming. Thor crept up behind him and grabbed Loki, by the back of his shirt collar.

"H-Hey!" Loki yelped in shock as he felt a sudden, strong pull at the nape of his neck.

"Time to go," demanded Thor, staring down at a dissatisfied Loki.

"But I was just starting to have fun," Loki pouted, pointing a finger at the intoxicated minor god who was wobbling.

"Odin expects us to be home when he comes back," explained Thor.

"Ah?" Loki furrowed his eyebrows in annoyance, "So he gets to stay but we have to go? That's so unfair."

Thor rolled his eyes at his cousin, "Let's just go.

And so Odin, in all his celestial glory, was the one to take you back home to safety. Due to his status, many gods who were fortunate enough to be sober avoided him as much as possible; benefiting you, as they rather avoid looking his way, thus hiding you in plain sight. Those that were drunk, however - giddy with too much mead and nectar - seemed unaware of your presence or would forget in the morning.

Once the carriage of Pegasus had departed from Zeus's palace, you removed your dark mask, revealing your warm face due to the alcohol.

You sighed in relief, fanning your face with your hand and resting your head against the cushions. "Ah, what a night," you thought to yourself. Despite the change in demeanor, Odin could still sense your uneasiness.

"It seems that Zeus got to your skin," he said

You fume, "He always spouts such nonsense when he's drunk!" You wrapped your arms around yourself, desperately trying to calm your wrath as Odin and his crows watched your expression.

"The God's Council Meeting..." he began solemnly. "It's best if you do not attend."

You furrowed your brow, perplexed and unsure how to proceed. An awkward silence hung in the air as you eyed him skeptically, "I wasn't going to..."

He had an expression of utter seriousness, so stoic and unwavering that even his two crows sitting contently on his shoulder seemed intimidating. It was a face that was impossible to read, yet somehow still carried a feeling of grimness.

"Why are you bringing that up?" you ask, trying to break the silence.

He stood in stony silence, his expression still an unreadable mask of gloom.

"Hmph, don't tell me, you're getting tired of humanity?" You retort in disbelief.

His silence spoke a thousand words, and was all the answer you needed.

"You too?" You frowned, recalling Zeus' words.

"They're not but a plague!" said Huginn.

"They're such greedy creatures!" said Munnin.

Your gaze was so piercing that the cawing crows instantly quieted when they met your eyes.

"I'm too exhausted to discuss," you said, feeling more upset than tired. "Let's just sit here in silence." Your eyebrows furrowed as you looked out the window of the carriage, angry at Zeus and Odin (and the two crows). You had no desire to bring up this conversation and simply wished to soak in the ride in peace.

ΰΌΊβ˜†ΰΌ»

Once you descended to your Island on Earth, you brushed off Odin's offer of assistance and leapt out of the carriage in a huff. You glared back at the carriage, trying to hide your feelings of hurt and betrayal as best as you could.

"Have a safe trip back home," you grumbled angrily as you trudged back to your temple, filled with frustration.

Odin watched your retreating form, becoming smaller and smaller in the distance. His frown deepened when he realized that you were angry with him. He had been expecting it, recognizing that you had a strong bond with humans; one which he didn't share or even care for. He couldn't understand why your opinion of them was so positive, why they were worth such loyalty and affection from you. This didn't sit well with him. He thought they were too proud, arrogant and vain for their own good.

He felt as if you would choose to side with humans than with him or any other God. It tore at him, this idea of separation, and in his desperation, he suspected that humans had some kind of control over your destiny. This made him increasingly frustrated and envious all at once; how could mere mortals have the ability to influence such a powerful being like yourself?

You finally arrived home, exhausted and disheartened. Sleep was what you needed, but could you even rest after today's events? Zeus and Odin's attitude and words haunted your mind, leaving behind a bitter aftertaste. Doubts raced through your head - what would happen to humanity? Should you go to the meeting to make sure it goes smoothly? A heavy sigh escaped your lips as you trudged towards bed.

The three gods, Loki, Thor and surprisingly even Odin, ventured out to one of Valhalla's prestigious restaurants.

"You should get the orange soda, it is amazing!" Loki boasted with a devilish smirk.

"Ok," muttered Thor.

The waiter approached the table, asking with a gentle smile, "Good evening, What can I get you to drink?"

"Orange Soda, please!" said Loki.

"I'll have the strawberry soda." said Thor, completely ignoring the surprised gasp released from Loki.

Loki glares daggers at Thor, feeling a mix of betrayal and mild irritation. He had expected his own cousin to be on his side and choose Orange Soda, but apparently he was wrong. Doesn't he know that being betrayed by your own family is the unspoken rule of Godhood?

"Me too, strawberry soda," said Odin, also ignoring Loki's whine of disapproval.

Loki's mouth was agape as his own uncle betrayed him. He was totally bamboozled, shock
