Once the girls had finished clearing up and washing up, they gathered in the spacious room upstairs. Excited chatters akin to that of a fish market filled the room as they each claimed a futon as their own and set it down neatly, forming two rows with the pillows facing against each other.

After that, the girls began doing their own things. Nakime was strumming her biwa; Daki was on social media; Mitsuri, Kanao, Nezuko, and (Y/N) were playing UNO; and Shinobu was texting her sister Kanae since she kept pestering Shinobu about the day.

"UNO!" Mitsuri yelled, holding up one card. Up next was Kanao who miraculously had five +4 cards, instantly bringing Mitsuri's card deck to 21 cards. The pink-haired girl was so shocked but the reason why she keeps losing is due to her expression that gave her away.

When Kanao won for the third song, the others gave up playing. Nezuko asked her what was her trick to winning and Kanao pondered upon it for awhile before glancing at Mitsuri.

"I think the trick to winning is to have a poker face, else others can guess what cards you have." Mitsuri looked defeated.

Kanao chuckled before opening a bag of gummies and shared it with the rest.

"Hm..." Nakime hummed softly as she strum the strings, the different notes that emitted the instrument came together to form a tune through Nakime's skillful weaving.

Daki finally finished updating her social media before directing her attention back onto the others. They all sat together and continued talking about god-knows-what.

During the conversation, someone began talking about clubs and societies and the members of Twelve Kizuki and Demon Slayer began talking about their experiences or fun times without disclosing any information related to their research.

"I think what makes these researches fun is carrying them out with your best friend." Shinobu said as Mitsuri hugged her affectionately.

Daki added on. "I agree! Nakime and I are the only females so we really click. I'm really glad that (Y/N) will be joining- mm!" Kanao swiftly shoved a gummy into Daki's mouth.

Blood drained from (Y/N)'s face when Daki mentioned her and how (Y/N) might join the Twelve Kizuki. However, thanks to Kanao's quick thinking, she managed to shut Daki's mouth before she spilled anything more.

"This gummy is grape flavoured. Thought that you might like it." Kanao played it off and offered more gummies to the female who gratefully took more.

The others also shrugged it off however Shinobu went quiet after that, seemingly deep in thought, perhaps wondering what Daki was almost about to say. She had thought of asking Daki to repeat herself but judging from Kanao's unnatural action, she decided to keep it to herself and find out another day.

"It's getting late now, let's sleep." (Y/N) said and everyone agreed. Kanao turned off the lights and the once noisy room went quiet real quick.
