Dark and tranquil and motionless was the room as the girls all tucked themselves into their sleeping bags and slowly drift off to sleep.

Yet, after half an hour or so of Shinobu turning around restlessly in her futon, she reluctantly sat up and looked over at the sleeping girls, lingering slightly on Daki, before her gaze was redirected to the moon shining so brightly in the starry sky.

'I don't think I'll be able to fall asleep at this rate...' Shinobu thought, slowly crawling out of her futon and pulling a cloak over her nightgown before quietly leaving the room.

Shinobu's steps were light, yet they felt heavy and carried a strange sense of unease. The girl descended the stairs and paused before the kitchen. Shinobu walked towards the saucer and picked up a clean glass, filled it up with water and took a couple sips. She sighed and placed the cup down on a coaster.

"'Nakime and I are the only females so we really click. I'm really glad that (Y/N) will be joining...'" Shinobu mumbled softly under her breath. The girl's eyebrows furrowed slightly as she thought with focus. What did Daki want to say?

Shinobu left the kitchen and walked slowly along the balcony on the second floor that circulated the whole perimeter of the building. She took the time to ponder while basking in the tranquility of the night.

'By joining... Did she mean-'

"Shinobu? Why are you here?" (Y/N) asked in curiosity as she stepped closer to the girl.

 Shinobu's train of thoughts were broken as her head suddenly turned towards the source of the sound. Shinobu tightened her grip on her cloak and faked a smile and looked at the girl.

"Nothing much, couldn't sleep so I decided to take a night walk." Lies.

"Mind if I joined you?" (Y/N) asked, taking one step forward.

Shinobu nodded.

"I would be delighted."
