_____________
Hidden Code in "The Outlanders Jury"

I like to use the Numerical Alphabet alot. I mixed the numbers around too, but the answer was:

"And Hells coming with her."

โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

REFERENCES:

Che'nya being on the headboard on the bed, or hanging around her neck constantly is a reference to how the Cheshire Cat hangs off a tree upon Alices first meeting with him.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-

Phin, Gus and Erza's names, as priorly mentioned, are references to the Hitchhiking ghosts from The Haunted Mansion.
Phineas, Ezra, and Gus.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Hadestown, Ophelias nickname for Idia, is a musical in which in Orpheus and Eurydice's story  takes place in an industrial setting, and instead of the underworld, it is an underground facility known as "Hadestown." that Orpheus is trying to rescue Eurydice from.   Thats the briefest gist I can say without spoiling the plot at all.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
"Junior Chipmunk" being embroidered onto the hoodie from Khnori is a reference to Kronks New Groove, and is something akin to a Kids Scout group focused around nature and talking with Chipmunks and Squirrels.

โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Grim being referenced as a tiny firebender is an Avatar the Last Airbender reference.
โ€”โ€”โ€”-

"I have blood, and not weird blue goo that makes me sing like i'm in a musical" is a reference to the musical "The Guy who hated Musicals"

Vyr Ambrose is based off Varian, from Tangled the Series.  His last name, "Ambrose", is me being kind of a sneaky ass, I won't spoil anything, but someone close to him gets trapped in Amber, which snowballs into the beginning of his villain  ark.

Onyx, the twisted version of Varians Raccoon's name is also a sneaky asshole move of mine, as Onyx is a kind of black jewel, and lets just say black rocks are pretty important to the story of Tangled the Series.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Ophelias contact names for Ace and Deuce, Tweedle Heart and Tweedle Spade, are obviously references to Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-

Ophelias description of Cater was a Dolly Parton reference from the song Jolene:
"Your beauty is beyond compare, with flaming locks of auburn hair, ivory skin, and eyes of emerald green. "  is the original lyrics.

โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
____________________

Vyrs spot in the Catacombs in a reference to Varians Original Lab, which is in his basement, but can also be walked to from underground tunnels (?)
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
The group getting stuck in a Cauldron is a reference to Alice getting stuck in a bottle.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Vyrs creations :  Comothis and Bebothis, are, if you translate the first four words of each, Bebo and Como from spanish, literally "Eat this" and "Drink this"

โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-

Morays actually have very bad vision, as mentioned, but have exceptional sense of smell, hence why Ophelia tells Vyr the smoke bomb might not work.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
"bombes fumigรจnes" literally just means Smoke bomb
โ€”โ€”
"L'un d'entre nous ment" means "One of us is lying."  .
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
The Dancing Coffin bearers is an old meme from who knows when, and is one of my favorites.  Look it up, it's freaking hilarious.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Yadokari means "Hermit Crab" , which is a joke on the fact she's hiding in a cauldron, which can be her "shell"
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
A Shoal of fish is when a large group of fish swim extremely close together.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-

Maekura is an actual brand of Oyster Sauce, and when I visited the bakery I mentioned, I asked the owner if she ever uses Oyster sauce, and she said" the Lee one with the panda" , so I added that too.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Ophelia taking a bit of the guys money after they tried to catch her was actually a tiny Pokemon reference
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
The can K.O scene was the first hint that Ophelia was unknowingly using magic from the charm, and hence why she passed out.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Each of the Heartstabyl rules is based off something from Alice in wonderland!

The Pocketwatch and lateness rule is based off the White rabbit being late, and accidentally causing Alice (who in this case would be considered the non Heartstabyl students) to follow him

The Tulip and Iris mentioned a chapter ago is based on the singing flowers, and the Matching eye and hair color is because the OG queen of hearts in the movie had the same color and shade of hair and eyes

Finally, the one about Rulers moving was based of chess, since the Queen can move anywhere and In any direction until they take over a pawn in the way, where as the king can move anywhere, but only one at time!

โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
MIA means Missing in Action
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Ophelias necklace was inspired by a very VERY old disney game I played as a kid. This is where the obscure Disney references begin. *evil laughter*
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Another set of number clues! The first is 152, which is OB

The next is the time stamp, 18 hours, 21 minutes and 14 seconds, which is "Run"

The other rule count, 14,15, 23, spells "Now"

Its literally : "OB (Overblot) Run now."
hinting at Riddles Overblot happening sooner then it should.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
"They must be delivered by bird (dodo if possible, not required) a hedgehog, a cat, a caterpillar, a hammer, an oyster or a whale.) ". is a reference to many Alice in wonderland characters and animals,

Dodo is a stand in (haha) for Flamingos, since they would be used for croquet, hedgehog is similar, but they probably don't have to prep ((??? Not me making up fucking Pokemon like ass Croquet rules)), Cat is obviously the Cheshire cat, and Alices cat in the very beginning of the movie, Caterpiller is the Smoking Caterpiller, Hammers = Hammer bird, or the Walrus and the Carpenter , Oysters is the tiny Oysters, and the Whale was just for the lols.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Cater saying he promises the party isn't hidden behind the wall is another obscure old disney game reference, where you fly down the rabbit hole as Alice, and if you move to the side and hit a specific wall, you go through it, and get extra coins.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Fun Fact: I actually am allergic to common grasses, mostly lawn grasses and stuff. Two of my favorite comebacks to "Touch Grass" is
"I'm allergic" and "I'm not in the mood for a rash"
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Elephys is based off Pink Elephants on Parade, from Dumbo! If you saw the artwork I did, his earrings are the caravan on one side and the marching elephants on the other!
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Ophelias outfit is (fucking shocker) based off Alices. If you saw the artwork I did, I actually snuck a hint to Riddles premature Overblot in her bow!
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
The Toast Butterflys and Rocking Horse Flys are another Alice reference. I can't remember if its in the movie or not, but its in the book.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Again, the oyster ring toss is another Walrus and the Carpenter scene reference.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
"Alas, she often gave herself good advice, but seldom followed it." Is a quote from the Original Alice in Wonderland, and I thought it fit Ophelia in this scene well, so I popped that in there.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
The 45 minutes was another hint to Riddles premature Overblot, as we later find out it was a timer til it occured, hence why Riddle shows up almost directly after Ophelia checks it.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Forgot to mention this one before, but Che'nyas head jingling when he nods is a reference to a sadly cut song for the Cheshire cat, called
"Im Odd" . The lyric is "My head begins to jingle, most everytime I nod, most obviously, quite obviously, I'm odd!" .
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Ace and Deuces shared reaction to Che'nyas full name was a joke on a Tiktok I saw drawn over with the three. I don't know where the scene originates from, but the audio is : "And you are?" โ€”"Negasonic Teenage Warhead." โ€”"Negasonic Teenageโ€”WHAT THE SHIT?!"
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Vyrs last line of his reaction was a tiny Vine reference, "I'm Micheal with a b, and I've been afraid of insects my whole life" โ€”"Stop Stop Stop, wheres the b?" โ€”"tHeRes A bEe??"
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
"I can stand the sight of the collars, but wearing one might just be too much for me" is a reference to the song of Elephants on Parade, aka what Elephys is based on :
"I can stand the sight of worms, and look at microscopic germs, but Technicolor pachyderms is really too much for me!"
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
What the student says while introducing Riddle: "HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, HIS GRACE, THE HOISEWARDEN OF HEARTSTABYL, RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS." is a near direct version of the Queens introduction: "HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY, HER GRACE, HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, THE QUEEN OF HEARTS."
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Riddle calling Ophelia "Um" is a reference to Into the Looking Glass, where Alice introduces herself as Um, as the Queen is looking for an Alice. She becomes the Queens "New Favorite" and sits by her side, hence why Ophelia is in "Ums seat"
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
"Look up, stop glancing around so much, and don't twiddle your fingers! You are a housewarden, are you not? Act like one." is another near direct, and only slight changed version of what the Queen of Hearts says upon meeting Alice. "Look up, Speak Nicely, and DON'T TWIDDLE YOUR FINGERS!!"
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

Riddle saying "You are far too nice, Avillion, your mercy has a price." was me referencing EPIC: the Musical, because Ruthlessness felt fitting for Ophelia vs Riddle, with them sharing Poseidons parts.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
The students getting dragged away was a reference to the cards getting dragged away during The Queen and Alices first meeting.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Aces insult was me just combining several common insults for the hell of it, but partially did come from how many of the Alice in Wonderland characters are based off common sayings from back then
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Speaking of, Che'nyas mentioned favorite food being Cheesecake is also a reference to the Cheshire Cats Origin.

Back in the day, Cheshire, England, was famous for its dairy products, since it was still commonly believed back then cats loved milk, the term "Grinning like a Cheshire Cat" came into being.

From this, some Cheese makers in Cheshire began shaping their product to look like a smiling cat, and the trend back then was to eat it starting at the tail, then the rest of the body, but leave the smile for last, hence why the Cheshire cat disappears in that order.

BOOM HISTORY LESSON!
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
(Also, Fun Fact, The Mad Hatter is based off the saying "Mad as a Hatter" , which came from many hat makers back then, who worked with mercury in their hats (??? Forgot why) , developing Mercury poisoning, at the time called "Mad Hatter Syndrome/ Disease." , and going insane because of it. Hence, "Mad as a Hatter." )

BOOM MORE HISTORY!
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Did you know, Aces tart stealing also confirms his identity as the Knave of Hearts (for context, Heartstabyl has their suits, but also has kinda a hidden second character: Deuce is the White Rabbit, Cater is the Hare, Trey is the Mad Hatter, and Ace is the Knave of Hearts.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
In the Original Book, the poem goes something like this:

The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts, all on a summers day.

The Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts, and took then all away.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
ANYWAY BACK TO REFERENCE GUIDE AND NOT ME BEING A HUGE ASS NERDโ€”
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

Elephys goes through 3 of the 5 stages of grief before he almost dies, Denial, Bargaining, and Acceptance at the end, but then he is saved

"Maybe I'll come back as a Pink Elephant made of bubbles, or a blue one with ears as big as mine and a tiny hat." Is a reference to the Pink Elephants, and Dumbo.

With the Gelatin save, I didn't exactly mention this, but for the calculations Vyr makes to work, it would have to be a thicker and more condensed gelatin!
โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Yes, the "Time to be Ace and co.'s attorney" was an Ace attorney reference.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
The legal issues and law stuff is based off the Scene in Alice in Wonderland were Alice is on Trial, and insults the queen, telling her she is wrong.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
Boy oh boy, Blues back on her numerical alphabet shit again, the contradictions list number thing, 139, and 1454

"I'm dead."

(I did have to flip flop 13 and 9 because 931 is way too many NRC rules)
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
There is a tiny Mean Girls reference from one of the students talking about Ophelia, which is "She doesn't even go here!"
โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Liam and Dave are inspired by these two throwaway characters I loosely remember from an event, (think it was New Years?) a dramatic pomfieore student and a tired Ignihyde student. I wanna know how those two became friends, honestly.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
The black fog at Riddles feet was, you guessed it, another hint to his premature overblot.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Nevermore having a gun out of nowhere was partially just because I found the idea fucking hilarious, but also a miniature hint to the use of a cannon later on. Revolver? Cannon? Barrels? Im not crazy, I swear.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
The "First Cheshires Tree" is a reference to the tree Alice meets the Cheshire cat on
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-
(Upon writing just now, I made the revelation that Grim is the cat in the beginning of Alice (Cat+ the neck bow+ protags pet (?) ) and the first portal (rabbit hole) is under a tree, and The tree the Cheshire cat sits on, he opens a portal, towards the bottom, of a tree.......DO YOU SEE WHAT IM SAYING)
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
OB Riddles line "THERES NO LONGER YOUR WAY OUT, ONLY MY WAY!!" Is another semi-direct quote from the Queen
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-

Forgive me, but yes, there was a Voltron reference in the beginning.
โ€”โ€”-
The "sleepy door" was a reference to the door Alice has to shrink herself to go through in the beginningish of the story.
โ€”โ€”-

"Open it up and find the fuck out,Pandora!", just incase you might not know, is referencing Pandoras Box. If you don't know the story, look it up if you'd like.
โ€”โ€”โ€”
Vyrs analysis of Elephys's bubble is actually somewhat scientifically accurate. And yes, adding Glycerin to bubble mix would infact make it more durable.
โ€”โ€”โ€”
I chose a Bow and Arrow for Ace because...Ace Shot? Partially kidding, but Its also mentioned he has good aim in a vignette, plus, it felt fitting for him as a character, since he is the type to strike the issue directly, and is extremely good at getting on target with other's issues and isn't afraid to be blunt and tell them the truth. He tends to be right on target with his guesses.

Ha...ha...bad pun, sorry.
โ€”โ€”โ€”
Deuces being a club was honestly such an obvious choice, even if the name part is ironic, considering Trey would be the Club Suit wise, but whatever. Baseball bat attack method for silly spade boi

(Also, the blade mentioned to be on the tip of it was an Epithet Erased reference, Giovannis bat with a knife taped to it)
โ€”โ€”โ€”
A shield felt fitting for Trey, just in personality and character. The 10/6 shillings is the price tag hanging off the mad hatters hat.
Also I envisioned Trey using it for folding things like the certified dorm mom he is.
โ€”โ€”โ€”-
Caters weapon choice was based off the normal spears of the card soldiers, and the pocketwatch and rope was a reference to the Hare!
โ€”โ€”โ€”
Elephys pipe is a reference to the caterpillar.
โ€”โ€”
"Alice Liddel" is the full name of Alice, as mentioned in the original book atleast
โ€”โ€”
"ร†ran, hatan รฆghwa รฆgรฆdere" roughly translates to "Run, Call everyone together."
โ€”โ€”
Cater being thrown across the field in a bubble after being shrunken was another obscure old disney game reference, a level where instead of the hedgehog, you play Alice in a ball and have to run through the croquet field (??)
โ€”โ€”
"I don't think-" โ€”"Then don't speakโ€”" is an interaction between Alice and the Mad Hatter, but I thought it would work well for one of Aces taunts.
โ€”โ€”
"โ€”Make a sacrifice circle and trade an arm and a leg for my consciousness ?" Was a (very obvious) Full Metal Alchemist reference.
โ€”-
Ophelia calling Ace Windmaster is, yes, a TCGF reference.
โ€”-
The idea of Riddle + his Blot thingy being tied down from moving was partially inspired by the scene at the end of Alice in Wonderland where she is running in a tunnel away from everyone trying to keep her there.
โ€”-
"Sorry not sorry, don't lose your head over it!"
Six reference. Obviously.

______________

600 calories a day is less then you'd feed a 3 year old, 1700 should have been Riddles intake, hence Ophelias surprise.
โ€”โ€”-
Calling someone a Tart is an old fashioned insult, in todays way of saying ....uh...not nice names related to sex that starts with either an H, W or an S.

Ophelia is basically calling her a moldy wh*re

Usually I like to refrain from insults like that, but it was too perfect not to use.

โ€”โ€”-
The Daisy field scene is inspired by one of the very first scenes in Alice in Wonderland, where Alice sings about a "world of my own"  to her cat, hence why Ophelia discusses her world there.

And yes, the flower crown and petals falling off Riddles head were referencing Alices cat in that scene.
โ€”โ€”โ€”
"What kind of a Fool are you"โ€”"The Finest, Imported straight from New York."  is a Home Alone 2 reference.  I thought it would be fun to homage to the first reference in the prologue.
โ€”โ€”-
"Its practically the oldest rule in the book!" โ€”"Then shouldn't it be number one?" Is, surprise, surprise, another Alice in Wonderland Quote.

I gave Riddle a sword because its an elegant weapon, but also the original weapon used for beheading in England. The hatchet was the second, if anyone's curious.
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”-

Obviously, Riddle beheading a (Blot/Memory Version) of Riddles Mom was symbolic of freeing himself, but also, losing ones head can be also used to describe someone going insane, or "Mad." (Hehe),
It was also symbolic in the fact Riddles mom likely taught him his signature magic, but in this scene, he was saying the words without actually casting the spell, something I imagine her considering a failure.
