I wake up to banging noises. I sit up in bed and glance over at my door, where my father is standing, staring at me. "About time your lazy ass wakes up. Now go to damn school, you waste of space," he says, slamming the door behind him. I get up, quickly put on a shirt to cover the bruises from the punch he gave me last night, and grab a pair of jeans. Heading outside, I see Bealch's car pull up, and I get in, slamming the door behind me.
"What'd he do this time?" Victor asks.
"Nothing. Just drive, Bealch," I respond, staring out the window.
We pull into the school parking lot, get out, and walk toward our lockers. I'm talking to Victor and Patrick when I realize Bealch is gone. I glance around and spot him walking over to us.
"Where'd you disappear to?" I ask, folding my arms.
"Oh, the principal wanted to talk to me," he says, putting his stuff into his locker.
"About?" I press, still eyeing him.
"Uh, there's a new girl," Bealch says, turning to face us.
I see Patrick grin. "What's her name?" he asks almost immediately.
"Um... Luna, I think," Bealch responds, glancing at Patrick.
Mmmm, Luna. Nice name.
"A new plaything?" Patrick says with that smirk of his.
"Not exactly," Bealch replies seriously, looking at Patrick.
Since when does Bealch have a serious face? This catches my attention.
"What? Why?" Patrick asks, his confusion obvious.
"Because the principal told me I had to show this girl around, and she isn't exactly a nice, little girly girl," Bealch says, folding his arms.
So this girl isn't nice, and she isn't all sweet and girly. Man, I'm already intrigued. Wait, what am I thinking?
"Then what is she like?" Patrick asks, now folding his arms too.
"Well, from what the principal told me, she has a temper, a bad attitude, and is pretty sassy," Bealch explains.
Patrick seems to think this over, then grins. "What does she look like?"
"Like that!" Bealch says, pointing behind us.
We all turn around, and I lean against a locker. That's when I see her-this girl with icy blue eyes and long, shiny black hair with light purple and white highlights. She meets my gaze for a moment, then looks away, heading toward the office. I swear I saw a little smirk on her face.

Skip time
I'm outside messing with Bill and his friends when I notice Beverly, the so-called "slut," is missing.
"You suck, Henry," Bill mutters.
I turn around and shove him to the ground. "Shut up, Bill," I say, mockingly mimicking his stuttering.
That's when I see Beverly return.
"Look, it's the slut," I say, grabbing Four Eyes and spinning him around to face her.
Then, out of nowhere, a girl walks up to me from behind a tree. She's confident, no hesitation.
"Sup, little boy?" she says, folding her arms.
I take her in, scanning her up and down. Damn, she's fine.
"Take a picture. It lasts longer," she says, and I hear Beverly giggling behind her.
How the hell is a girl making me feel embarrassed? No way I'll let that happen.
"Look, the new slut can speak," I sneer, glancing at my boys, who are smirking.
"So being a slut is a thing around here? What does that make you?" she shoots back with a smirk of her own.
Beverly's cracking up, and the losers look shocked. I glance behind me and see Victor trying not to laugh. Man, this girl is badass.
"You better watch yourself," I warn, "and Bill, you got off easy because of your brother. And you, new girl, the name's Henry."
"I would say nice to meet you, but that would be a lie," she shoots back. "The name's Luna. Remember that, bitch."
With that, she grabs Beverly's hand and walks off, the losers trailing behind.
"I told you she wasn't a nice girl," Bealch says.
We all laugh.
"Definitely not nice," Victor says, laughing his ass off.
"I like her," Patrick says, and I glance at him. I notice Victor's nodding too.
"Look," Bealch says, pointing behind me.
We all turn, and that's when I see Luna, with no hesitation, taking on Greta and her friends. I watch as she completely shuts them down.
"Haha, Greta got no friends," Patrick says, dying of laughter.
I just smirk and walk off.
