'Answer my questions. I won't care if you saved my life or not. I'll cut your throat. What are you doing here? Did you kill the Tekfur?' Bala's face dropped. She knew he would die, but not this early. 'What about the Tekfur? What killing? What are you doing as a Turk here?' But before he could say anything, a loud bang was heard, and he fell to the ground.
Dursun had knocked him unconscious. However, when he looked at his face, he went into shock. Bala crouched beside the man, checking his pulse. 'You were almost going to kill him.' 'Ertugrul's son, Osman.' Bala's eyes widened, as she stared up at Dursun. 'What are you up to? Where did you come from?' Bala slowly stood up. 'Ertugrul Bey's son? The famous Osman, huh?' Dursun smiled, nodding. 'He is capable like his father. They say a child of a wolf, is a wolf.'
'Fulfil your duty. I'll take care of him.' Gonca and Dursun went to the other side of the room, whilst Bala crouched beside Osman. She felt the back of his head, before seeing the blood. She gasped. Grabbing a cloth, she cleaned the back of his head. She reached out for a book, and placed it under his neck. A shuddering sound was heard, meaning something was being moved. Dursunhad found a room. She went over to them.
They entered the room. Searching the boxes, they found what they were looking for. 'Thank Allah for small favours.' 'AllahuAkbar.' 'We must also find the thing which our master told us about.' The girls nodded, before searching the other sides of the room. 'Have you found it?'
Dursun pulled out a long box. 'Bismillah.' He opened it slowly, and the girls marvelled at the object in the box, with tears in their eyes. 'Ina Fatahna Laka Fatham Mubeen. Verily, we have granted thee a manifested victory.' 'Fortunately.' 'Thanks to Allah. Since the Tekfur is dead, they must be busy. We don't have much time, Haydi. Let's go. We must take it out at once.' 'Ya Bismillah.'
They gathered the boxes, leaving the secret room. Bala sat beside Osman, checking his wound. Gonca hurried towards them. 'Let's go. I heard footsteps.' Bala pulled out a vile from her pocket. Holding against his nose, she waited for him to regain consciousness. 'May Allah protect you.' She stood, before leaving.
They pushed the trolley of relics along the corridor.
They entered their secret room, checking the windows. 'Apparently, no one has seen us. It's clear.' 'I'll perform gratitude prayer as soon as we rejoin with our Sheik.' 'You must hit the road early in the morning.' Gonca stepped forward. 'Aren't you coming with us?' Dursun smiled. 'The battle is just beginning, my daughter. Servants of the evil will make a move. The Tekfur was killed. Things will go crazy.'
'Do you think Osman has made his way out?' Bala surprised herself with her own question. 'What if he hasn't?' Dursun avoided the question. 'Thanks to Allah. We have taken the treasure of the Ahi Evran from the enemy. We have obtained the precious relic of the royal highness Yesevi. Thanks to Allah.'
The next day, they redressed as nuns. Bala walked into the church. 'The carriage is ready. It's time to hit the road.' 'They'll wait for you outside the castle. I've informed the soldiers at the castle's gates. If anyone asks for anything, don't make a noise. Those soldiers will save you.' 'Allah help you, Dursun Bey. May Allah make you triumph in this cruel land.' 'Thank you, my daughter. Thank you. I will kiss my masters blessed hands. May him pray for this poor man. Please, let him know that we learn on his prayers and guidance.'
Bala took his hand, and kissed it. 'May Allah be with you, Dursun Bey.' 'Ameen.' Gonca kissed his hand. 'May Allah be with the both of you, my daughters.' They left hurriedly.
They seated on the carriage, getting ready to leave. They came to the gate. 'Open the door!' A soldier shouted. The gates opened, and Bala nodded at the man.
Day and night passed, when the Sheik told Bala to go greet Osman. She rode with the Dervishes, until they met him. They shot an arrow to stop him. 'You shot an arrow in front of me. Yet you appear without your weapons in front of me. Are you an ally, or an enemy? Who are you?'
Akca Dervish spoke. 'We are Alps to evil, and are friends to the weak, son. We are tasked to bring you to what you seek.' Bala finally rode from behind the bushes. She stopped Alaca in front of Osman. 'Now you are in the shape of a Turk.' Osman looked confused.
Another Dervish spoke up. 'You are a brave one, Osman Bey. You came here just for your curiosity.' 'Not because of my curiosity, I'm here for my revenge. Tell me, why are you hiding behind secrets?' 'Come with me if you want to learn.' Bala beckoned. 'I'm in front of you. Tell me now.' 'I don't hold the answers to your questions. If you want to learn, follow me. And if you are not after the truth, go to your own way. But, we need to go alone to where we are going. Tell your alps to wait with Akca Dervish.'
Osman swallowed. 'Alps......wait here.' Bala turned, and waited for Osman to catch her up. They rode faster along the road. They finally arrived at the New Bazaar. They pulled up at a shop, full of pots. Tying their horses to the pole, Bala lead her way into the store. She closed the door, then locked it.
Moving across the room, she picked a few pots up, before opening an unseen door. Bala turned back to Osman, beckoning to go inside. 'You asked for the truth, Osman Bey. This way.' She stepped to the side to allow him to enter. Following after him, she closed the door behind her. They walked down a set of stairs, before coming in contact with another door.
'You are about to learn the truth. You can find the answer to your questions by meeting the head of our cause.' 'Who is the head of the cause?' 'Open the door to the secrets. See them with your own eyes.' Osman stepped forward, opening the door.
Bala watched as he walked towards the figure. 'I would like to know who I'm meeting.' The man slowly turned until they could see his face. 'I'm a poor follower of Allah's way. Our name is whispered to our ear as faith. People know me as Edebali.' 'Edebali?' Edebali folded his arms. 'My father's companion? The light of Oguz, Edebali. I didnt have the chance to see your face until now. Thank Allah for this.'
He leaned to kiss Edebali's hand, but the man did not allow. Edebali kissed his own hand, put it to his forehead, and then to his heart. 'A wolf does not yield, and a Bey never kneels in front of anyone, son.' Bala put her arms up, one hand on either side of her chest. Sheik Edebali allowed her to leave. She left just in time to hear. 'Who is she?' 'The head of the sisters, my daughter, Bala Hatun.'
