I randomly thought of this and I am so excited to write it. Let's just say in this that you have a hard past(not gonna go too much into detail)This is set when Dazai left the port mafia.

Slight suicide warning. Only mentioned for a brief second though so don't worry.

Angst

He just... left.

Ran off without any warning. Not even a note.

Didn't even say goodbye.

You knew something about the whole "Odasaku" situation, but you weren't there to experience it. And you didn't know what had gone on between them.

For endless nights, you laid wide awake, wondering where Dazai could have gone. He was everything to you. You guys did every mission together. You guys were inseparable. He helped you get through the hardest times, the times where you always said you wanted to end it all. He advised you not to and saved you from your depressive state.

And the one day, you never saw him again. Even if you only got to say one word to him before he left, that would have been enough for you.

Chuuya has been keeping you company is Dazai's place. It is nice to keep someone by your side, but it isn't quite the same. He couldn't make you laugh the way he could, nor could he make you stay up late and talk with him the way he could, though it was nice that he tried. And you cut him some slack because of it. He couldn't be the replacement for Dazai even if you wanted him to. No one could.

When Dazai disappeared, you took Akutagawa under your wing because no one else would. While he would appreciate the praise you gave him, he still felt a little empty inside. Taking Dazai's method and your own, you managed to train him to become a better port mafia member with little effort. And it gave you a slight distraction from Dazai being gone because it gave you something to focus on.

"Again." You said.

Akutagawa attacked you with his ability, which you blocked with ease. You gave him the task of hitting you with Rashomoun. If he got even a single scratch on you, by any mean necessary, his task would be completed. Even though Dazai's methods of teaching Akutagawa were... rather extreme, they were effective. Dodging his attacks were a bit harder than you had expected.

"Again."

He tried to hit you with his ability and you blocked his attack.

"Again. We are not stopping this unless you can manage to get a single hit on me, even if it means staying up all night."

He grunted before attacking you again. And again. And again. You managed to block every single one of his attacks.

"The problem is that your attack are too easy to predict. Even a mere beginner fighter would have little problem figuring out your moves."

He looked down almost as if he were in shame with his hand formed into a fist. "But, what you have to your advantage is your ability. Or to be more specific, how fast and agile your ability is. While one can guess what moves you are going to play out, that doesn't mean that they are fast enough to dodge it. Now, use my words of advice and take them to heart. Hit me with everything you have."

He looked at you with determination in his eyes. You grinned. 'So that's what gets his blood pumping, eh?' You thought to yourself.

Instead of attacking you in only one place, he attacked you in multiple, where you stand and where you could go when you try to dodge. But, instead of dodging to the sides this time, you moved out of the way by doing a backflip. It seemed Akutagawa predicted this movement and also aimed to your current position and all around you. He fixated on where you would move instead of where you were currently standing. You flipped, ran, rolled, and then, you felt something on the side of your leg and then looked down.

A gash with a small amount of blood dripping from it. You grinned at him. "Good job! Since you got a hit on me, you are free to leave for the day, as per the agreement." You praised.

He merely nodded and turned around to leave.

The day was coming to and end and you laid in your bed wide awake, thinking, as you always did ever since Dazai left. He left months ago. You thought you could get over it somehow, but you never did. You had your suspicions that Akutagawa knew of your longing for Dazai to come back, you sometimes saw the way he would look at you when you were lost in thought.

You needed to find Dazai. You needed the closure from him as to why he did what he did.

So, the next day, you where nowhere to be found. And as soon as Mori heard the news, he merely smirked. "It seems she hasn't gotten over Dazai leaving and has gone to find him."

And he was correct. You wandered around Yokohoma. How you would manage to find Dazai was a mystery to you. The thought of finding him was merely an impulsive one. Not very well thought out.

Soon, you heard an explosion come not far from where you were. People started running away. You, on the other hand, started running toward the explosion. You found Akutagawa simply standing not far from the explosion and looked at him. He made eye contact with you and then looked away.

"What is going on here?" An unfamiliar voice asked. Through the dust and rubble, you managed to make out a young man with white hair cut very weirdly and suspenders.

"If I had to guess, there is only one organisation who knows who and where we are. The port mafia. They most likely have come for either of us, Atsushi."

Now that was a voice you definitely knew.

Before long, most people had ran away from the explosion and the dust and debris had cleared.

And there you saw the one man you had been wondering about all these years.

Dazai Osamu.

You gasped. Which was heard by Dazai.

When he saw you, his eyes widened for a fraction of a second. Then, he smirked.

"Well hello there, (Y/N)." Dazai waved to you. You walked closer to him. He merely stood there. When you were almost nose to nose, you slapped him.

He felt the burn of the slap and held his hand up to his cheek.

"You... you bitch!" You yelled. His expression turn solemn.

"You disappeared without a single word! I stayed up every single night, wonder why you just walked away from me without even saying goodbye or why you were leaving! You were my only fucking reason for doing anything! And all I get is a 'hello there'?!"

You could see sadness and maybe even regret in his eyes. "Uh, Dazai. Who is that?" A voice asked. You turned to look at the person who spoke and got a closer look at him. His eyes were remarkable with the perfect hue of yellow and purple . He had a few scratches on his face and had the expression of a frail, innocent boy.

"Atsushi. This is an old friend of mine. I was wondering if you could give us a minute." Dazai requested. It was obvious the boy was hesitant, due to the fact that we are in the middle of a blown up building. But ended up nodding and walking away nonetheless.

Dazai turned to you.

"(Y/N). I truly am sorry. My views on everything changed the last time I saw Odasaku. 'Be on the side that saves people.' He said. And so, here I am. I don't have any justification for leaving you. But I have found where I belong."

You shook your head. "No, Dazai. You belong in the port mafia. You belong with me, Chuuya, and Akutagawa. Please come back. I've missed you so much." Tears started to fall from your eyes. Dazai put his hand up to your face and gently wiped them away.

"My dear, don't cry. I don't belong in the port mafia. I never did. And I found my place. I we both know that you don't belong where I do." Dazai said while backing away.

You shook your head. "No no no no. Dazai! Please come back! Please!" You sobbed and reached your hand out, hoping he would grab it. Your legs gave out and you were on your knees, covering your face to his the tears.

"I guess this is goodbye, belladonna." Was the last thing you heard Dazai say before he walked out into the distance. You decided to try and chance after him but before you could even fully get up, a hand firmly gripped your shoulder. It was Akutagawa.

"We have to go before we are caught. Come on." He said, and lead you to an alleyway as soon as sirens were heard.

You sat down again, hugging your knees. Akutagawa bent down and looked at you with a blank expression. But even in your state you could make out the smallest amount of sadness in his eyes.

"He's not coming back for us ever again. Is he?" You asked, even though you already knew the answer to that question.

Akutagawa shook his head.

I guess this is farewell, Dazai.

I didn't really know how to work around the fact that there was an explosion lmaoo. Anyways. I hope you enjoyed!
