June 20
6:32am
πΈππππ echoed through this riverside loft apartment that lacked doors and was mild on furniture this morning, the day after Juneteenth. This R&B star spent the whole evening and much of the morning up under, on top and beside Schae in his Queen sized bed. They weren't done yet.
Cole's legs were spread as he rested his back against Schae's belly, riding him. Mouth agape, whines and heavy breathing escaped from both men as cream spilled from Cole's dickβ his orgasm causing his insides to pulsate around Schae's member which erupted seconds later, splashing against Cole's prostate. The two rolled over, having lost count of their rounds, still connected. Schae slowly pulled out, wincing at the sensation against his sensitive penis.
Cole looked over at him, "Remember our first time?" He asked, still catching his breath. "On the tour bus." He silently laughed.
"Nah, that shit was crazy. What the fuck were you thinking bro?"
"Aye, niggas acted like the feeling was unmatched and I needed to see for myself. How was I supposed to know it could hurt?" He laughed obnoxiously. "If I knew, I definitely wouldn't have tried that shit out in public."
"Freaky ass."
"You calling me freaky, nigga?"
"Yeah, you a freaky dude." He said softly, looking at his lips. "I never fucked this long in my life." He smirked. "Well, not sober."
"You fuck better now. I won't lie."
"The hell?" Schae laughed. "I was bad before?"
"Nah, you was just... aggressive. You take your time now. Do you know how fucking deep you was in me, nigga?"
"Nah, but I figured it was real deep cause you kept saying, 'you so fucking deep. oh my god.'" He reenacted Cole's voice, earning a side eye.
"Well you wasβ so fucking deep." Cole reached over, fingering the length of Schae's flacid penis.
Schae topped his hand, "We gotta get up. I got a shift soon."
"We cant go one more?"
"Hell no." Schae laughed, "Don't you got shit to do too? I know yo people looking for you after disappearing yesterday. You must turned yo phone off 'cause I haven't heard it ring once."
Cole sighed, still laying down, still playing with Schae's dick. "I'm tired of being Luke James for real. If I don't turn my phone off, i'll never get a break."
"Nigga, you're Luke James. The fuck you need a break for?" He asked, still laying down, still looking into Cole's eyes.
Cole shrugged, "I got no life no more. I'm always on the go. I just wanna lay around sometimes. Like right now. And this little ass bed is comfortable as hell. Feel like I'm laying on some clouds."
"You ain't have to call my bed little, ass hole." He laughed. "To us regular people, this pretty big." He smiled. He leaned over and put his face just inches from Cole's. "Kiss me."
"No, your breath stank." Cole mocked him, leaning forward to kiss the smiling man. The kiss got deeper and Schae ended up on top of Cole, his locs falling around their heads, his naked body grinding up against Cole's naked body.
"Fuck." Schae groaned as his 7:30 alarm went off. He raised himself up, looking for his phone which had fallen to the side of his bed. "I'm supposed to be walking out right now." He mumbled. Still, he sat on the bed, not wanting to move.
"Just call in."
"Nigga I work at a restaurant. Ain't no calling in." He complained, standing up to go to the bathroom. He closed the door behind himself and Cole heard the shower turn on.
As Cole's cab approached his home, he noticed the white Taurus with dark windows in his driveway. Also noticeable, was Lonnie leaned up against said car, smoking a cigarette. Cole watched him in silence through the window as the car grew closer. "This is you, boss." The driver parked, looking at Cole through the rearview. Cole nodded and handed him twenty dollars, thanking him for the ride as he emerged from the mustard yellow car.
"Long night?"
"What you doing here?"
"I heard you were back. Thought they were lying since you aint say shit to me."
"Sorry, I thought you wanted space."
"I heard you invited Sam to NYC with you. If I knew that was an option, our last conversation could've been way different."
Cole unlocked the door and Lonnie followed him in. "I already figured you out Lonnie. Somebody must've been trying to kill you or you tried to kill somebodyβ either way, everytime, whoever you dealing with gotta hear your break up speech just for you to come back a couple days later like nothing ever happened."
Lonnie was silent, because Cole had been right.
"But nobody was trying to kill me this time. I got detained. I was set up by my best friend. But, I took care of it. I just didn't want you hanging around me catching strays."
"Ok." Cole said simply, walking through the house to find the bathroom. "You could've just told me that instead of doing that weirdo shit you always doβ like you preparing to die."
"I don't do that." Lonnie almost laughed at the description. "It's just courtesy. I don't want you to get hurt."
Cole didn't respond, he walked into his room.
"Why you walking like that?" Lonnie asked. "Where you coming from?"
Cole sighed, taking off his jacket then the knitted tank top after turning on the shower. "A friend's house." He walked back into the room to grab towels.
"A friend?"
Cole hummed in response, now looking for a charger to plug his phone up. He opened the drawer beside his bed where he found a white cord and bent over to plug it into the extension cord on the floor.
"Who? Jill? You spent the night?"
"Nah. And yeah."
"It wasn't Jill?"
"No."
"Who was it?"
"You don't know him."
"Him?" He was shocked. "You be having sex with other guys?"
Cole stared at him with narrow eyes. "You never told me you were back." Cole thought aloud, taking their conversation back to the beginning. "How come you didn't?"
"I tried. I didn't know you moved."
"You didn't ask." Cole mumbled. "If you would've reached out, you would've known. You don't think I wanted to share how geeked I was about buying my own house? A lot of shit happened, actually, that I really wanted to tell you about but I thought you were goneβ and had you reached out, nobody would have been able to convince me you were. And, you would've known that I moved."
Lonnie shifted, standing in the center of the room as the words hit him.
"I'm not used to unstable, inconsistent people." Cole informed him, "When somebody stops calling and they stop coming around, I do too because it means they're done. So, if you want me to keep being open to you, you gotta stop doing that shit."
"All right."
"Okay."
"I wanted to ask you about something serious."
Cole sat on the bed, waiting to hear what he had to say.
"Someone told me that you had a video leak a little while ago and I went down a rabbit hole and saw that you also got arrested around the same time and then you also recently got out of rehab. And honestly, I wasn't thinking about any of this beforeβ I was just upset that we went really talking and then last night I decided to look it up. So, I was just wondering if you were okay."
"How long did you know about the video?"
"A couple days. I remember that day on the video actually. Around when we first met."
Cole nodded, "I don't remember it being leaked or it getting scrubbed from the internet. But I do remember that someone sent it to Jemaika and that's how I got arrested."
"What?"
"Yeah. The security guard, Lamontβ he doesn't work there anymore. But, i'm pretty sure he had it, from the security cams."
Lonnie nodded, visibly getting upset.
"That's how I got arrested. I went into the security office and beat him unconscious. After I was released, Maverik got me out actuallyβ but I came home and everything was tore up. That's what confirmed it for me."
"That it was them security niggas."
Cole nodded. "Everything was happening at the same time. The break-in, you were in ICU, Sade was in labor, the next day Cobe was killedβ I guess the video must've been leaked right after that because I have no memory of those next few weeks. I was high as hell. Junkie high."
"I'm sorry I wasn't here."
Cole shook his head, "Why would you want to be here?"
"So you wouldn't have went through it alone. I know it was hard, especially losing Cobe."
Cole looked up at Lonnie with dragging eyes filled with many emotions, but looked away too soon for any of them to be deciphered. "I gotta get in the shower." He said, "Meetings and shit all day today." Cole cut the conversation, not wanting to think about Cobe more than he already had been all week.
"Can I roll with you today?"
Cole nodded, "Yeah. I'll be out in a minute. Getchu something to eat in the kitchen."
"I don't remember how to get there." He laughed, "Can I just sit in here with you?" He asked following him into the large bathroom as Cole agreed. He sat on a cushioned bench on the side of the sinks, across from the shower. "I really like your house." He complimented as Cole stepped into the shower, closing the door made of glass blocks. He sat quietly until Cole came out of the shower. He waited quietly while Cole got dressed. He followed Cole down to the garage where the ice blue bronco was waiting. Cole suggested that he put his Taurus away in the garage until they returned, which he did. Moments later, the two were backing out of the driveway, headed to midtown.
