Hi guys! Just letting you know I have a big surprise for you in this chapter! A few, actually. This is where we reunite with some old characters we so desperately missed and get to see some depth into Crosshair's character (finally)!!!

Crosshair's pov

Things were just starting to get normal then this happens. I just plopped down on my bed only for Wrecker to - no joke -  not just kick open the door, but kick the door off it's kriffing hinges and send the piece of metal flying towards my face. I gasped and ducked into my bed sheets just in time. Tech ran in behind him and leaped on my bed with no warning whatsoever and did the unthinkable. He hugged me.

"Hey big bro!" He greeted like usual for the past week. I wanted so badly to shove him off but I found that once I got used to my brothers touch again, it wasnt as horrific as I remember it being.

"Hey back, Techie Bear."

"Eh, your healing. I'll let that one slide." He gently patted my back twice and broke away from the embrace. We both looked at Wrecker on his knees scurrying to fix the broken door. I rolled my eyes and rolled off the bed I didn't get a chamce to sleep in.

"Ah Wreck. What are we gonna do with you." I teased and stood to my feet. I walked over to my small closet and took out the top pieces of armor and put them over my blacks. On my way out I made sure to walk over top of Wrecker and through the door hole thingy he made with Tech trailing behind me. Ever since I've gotten back and the drugs- I mean, painkillers wore off Tech has been extra clingly.

"Crosshair, glad your here." Hunter told me. He swung his arm up in the air but before he could bring it down I threw myself out of the way landing on some clone. The clome who caught me looked at me clearly amused. I shove dhim away and crossed mg arms. Not my fauly I react badly to no warning to when human contact comes. Hunter looked at me with sad eyes, a little crestfallen.

"I- sorry Crosshair. I didn't mean to startle you." I merely grunted in response and snuck into Wrecker's room to find something in particular. I double checked to see no one in the room. With no one here I couldn't stop the grin on my face as I picked up the original Lula tooka doll right next to the one Omega gave them. Back when I was younger, Lula used to be the only one who could truly help with my sleep paralysis demons. I need Lula now more than ever. When I was on Kamino and got nightmares I had Hunter there to calm me down and Wrecker who always brought Lula with him. But now I feel like Hunter and I are closer than ever yet drifting apart. It's so complicated. Eventually I got tired and too distressed of the drama that memories of my old self were flooding my brain. Memories I wasn't fond of.

"Crosshair!" I gasped and literally leaped off the bed gasping for air. Im the haste of my jump Lula was left behind. Breathing was becoming harder and harder to accomplish as I kept gasping and gasping for air I was in short supply of.

"T-Tech." Was all I could mutter out to whoever called my name hoping they would get the idea. The last thing I saw before it all went black was Tech's worried face skidding towards me.

---

Still Crosshair's pov
The black started to disappear and become blurry colors.

"He's waking up!" I could tell was Wrecker's excited voice no doubt informing someone else. Then somerh8ng odd happened that wasn't Wrecker. Something furry and slightly prickly was brushing my arm.

"Cloudy get down from there silly girl!" A higher pitched voice said. It definitely wasn't any od my brothers and most likely wasn't Ahsoka either. When whoever the voice belonged to yrued to take this so called Cloudy away I clung on tighter to it than anyrhing ever before. Cloudy was the first real physical contact I've had with anyone in over a year.

"Oh Crosshair! That's it, don't be afraid just open your eyes." I tried as hard as I could but the most I could do was squint. Cloudy was the only thing keeping me grounded. I pet the soft fur of what I assumed to be an animal or at least, I hole it's an animal. Either that or Hunter really needs a haircut.

"I told you to wake him up carefully! This is all your fault!" I heard in the background said by an anonymous voice. I just assumed they were talking to Wrecker. Then there was a sudden jolt but it was gone as quick as it came. I rollednover on my side to face where Cloudy was and started petting wherever I was petting with both hands.

"We have arrived at the Rebellion base." Hold on- The what now?

"Were being hailed! Tech get over here!" I paused my petting and Cloudy stopped and stared. Cloudy hissed and pushed itself into my hands to encourage more of my attention. Cloudy got what they wanted.

"But Crossha-" his voice broke in mid sentence when I heard a yelp get quieter. I sighed and tried to sit up but my elbow buckled which almost sent me back tumbling down, luckily someone caught my and held my arm in place. The contact made my eyes bulge all the way open and I kid you not, I fell off the kriffing bed. The cat meowed and jumped put of the way luke a blue blob escaping just in time. The person who caught me rushed over and bent down to assist me up.

"Oh it's you. What a beautiful face to wake up to." I said with obvious sarcasm to Ahsoka who was kneeling in front of me with her hand held out. She scrunched her face and stuck her tongue out but never took her supporting hand away. With reluctance I took her hand and she yanked me up with surprising force for a pregnant lady. Though I wouldn't be caught dead giving her a compliment. Our relationship was weird that way so far.

"Don't worry Snarky, you'll be fine. Just gotta get you back in bed where you can catch up on your much needed beauty sleep." Ahsoka Tano was a fabulous person with great morals and ideals as well as looks and brains, but all her and I could focus on about each other was the negative. Or at least verbally, I mean all we spoke about was the negative. Neither of us minded though. Infact we both laugh when a particularly good roast was said by either of us. The memories started coming back again, but a good one this time. Our first meeting of when we were in the Imperial medbay on the ship about to face Darth Vader. But she when she called the most powerful man in the universe who could kill literally anyone with his pinky toe 'Darthy', I made a mental note to befriend the woman. And befriend her I did.

"You must be looking in a mirror then, Nosy." She scoffed and used her magic hand thing to place me in bed exactly how I was before. I scratched my head where they invaded my brain a week ago and basically ripped the inhibitor chip out. Good riddance I guess, but it hurt like hell though. After a short pause she completely changed the subject.

"Would you like to meet Cloudy?" I nodded gruffly. Just because I wasn't being controlled by an evil chip anymore doesn't mean I didn't want to be open and welcoming. Things should just try to ho back to normalish.

"Here she is?" Day one, hour one, minute one in my toufh guy act and I've already broken character. The soft, genuine smile plastered on my lups burnt worse than hot glue but I couldn't help it man! Cloudy us just the kriffing cutest! I continued petting Vloudy untul the comfortable silence became a little awkward.

"Where's Sargeant Forehead?" Ahsoka let a laugh slip out as she gestured to her left for someone to walk up closer.

"Yes?" Hunter asked.

"Who was hailing us? Do you know why Tech got dragged away?" I asked him. Hunter glanced away and back at me double checking his answers.

"Um... we have a lot to catch up on." Was his short answer that really wasn't an answer at all. Seriously he could be a kriffing politician with that shitty answer that didn't answer shit!

"Well I have a lot of time." I tried to get him to tell me but he kept hesitating looking from what I assume to be the cockpit back to me.

"I don't. Just get up, put your helmet on and act professional!" Hunter whisper shouted in my ear.

"First of all, ew." I said as I rubbed and flucked the Sargeant spitnout of my ear. It was like the worlds wettest willy I've ever recieved and I don't recommend it.

"Second of all, the last time you told me to 'act proffesional' we owed the long necks 25 thousand credits in property damage." Ahsoka spat out whatever she was drinking and wiped her mouth as she uncontrollably hacked and laughed. I stared at her unimpressed. Can't decide who's grosser, her or Hunter.

"Anyways will someone please tell me what's happening?" Hunter left and Ahsoka took his place. I tried to hoist myself up off the bed but she held her arm out and forced me back down into a sitting position.

"Just sit tight Snarky until were all ready to go. Basically the run down of whats happening is Rex got has sime trust issues with this rebellion that his friend Kix joined together with so were coming here to check it out." I stared at her still unimpressed.

"Seriously? Were here because Captain Big-Brain is homesick?" Seh chuckled lightly and smiled but shook her head no.

"No were here to make sure my friends don't fall into someone's trap. I trust the man who Kix is working with but not everyone working with him is necessarily trustworthy yet. That's what were here to examine." This time when she explained it I think the importance of it was more evident to my tiny-ass brain. I made a move to get up again. She tried to protest but I pushed her hamds down and scooted to the end of my bed. My legs swayed back and forth as I looked out the cockpit windows to see a plain grassy mountain top and just to the right of it was a massive low to ground facility.

"Where are we?" I couldn't help but asking. It reminded me of a place I'd been to called Lothal during my inhibitor chip times.

"Welcome to Dantooine. Home of the newly founded Rebellion." She stated, somewhat proudly. This time I took it slow and gentle in getting off of fhe gurni. Ahsoka helped me fund my balance once I was on my feet qnd led me to my room.

"Are you alright from here?" She asked. I could feel her grip on me getting lighter qnd lighter untul it was practically gone.

"You weren't even gonna wait for me to say yes, were you?" Now she let go of me completely stimping out of my room.

"I still have to get ready too ya know!" She shouted before slamming the automatic door back on its hinges. I looked from where she used to be to my rifle sitting there waiting for me.

"Alright then." I grabbed fhe rifle and picked up up gently placing it on my bed. Wrecker helped me paint my Imperial armor so now it was just like my old gear except now it has the bab batch 99 symbol practically everywhere. Wrecker's idea, not mine. Once I was dome disassembling my rifle I placed all the parts to it in mt bag pack on my back. Fhe automatic door opened and I steilled into the cockpit where Tech was turning off the ships primary functions.

"Ready to go?" I jumped and nearly punched whpever said that in the face ... or not. The person who asked that was Omega and all I did was punch the air above her face. Yet she still looked up at me with that glow in her eye and smile on her face. I simply nodded in response with a small smirk of my own. Technically this would be my first mission as a bad batcher since the chip incident. It'd be a lie if I said I wasn't a little excited for it.

"Is everyone satisfactory to go?" Tech asked with his hand hovering over the lower ramp button. We were all gathered in a semi circle looking at each other then nodding. Tech pressed the button and the large stair case ramp lowered to reveal what seemed like an entire compant of soldiers waiting for us. However three men stood out from all of the others, marching forward to meet us halfway. Ahsoka and Rex were leading us down first obviously with Omega clinging to her masters side, then next was Echo and his other clone buddy, after them it was Hunter, Tech, Wrecker and I was in the back. As always.

"Commander, Captain! How wonderful to make your acquaintance aga-" I didn't mind being in the back though. It's the best spot to be on the look out and watch everybody's back and front. Including the odd dude who yelled his greeting at Ahsoka and Rex but was cut off by another clone who nudged him aside to launch himself onto Fives. Okay yes I did know the regs name is Fives but still.

"Your alive! And your here!" The clone who's name I did not know kept saying to his brothers Fives and Echo. I understood the feeling though. I think the whole Imperial experience has finally taught me empathy and how to relate with people. The fancy looking man with grey robes and shiny boots stepped forward with his arms out. He looked oddly familiar. As if I'd seen him before without actually- oh no. You have got to be shitting me.

"Ahsoka!" She giggled and gave him the hug he was looking for. Whoever he is. But I think I might have an idea.

"Good to see you Bail." My hand rested on my DC-17 pistol when the man who I now know to be Bail Organa, my target grom three months ago, his eyes hardened as they landed upon me. He was glaring at me. He only snapped out of his glare when Ahsoka snapped her fingers in front of him. Ahsoka looked where he was staring to find me sending her a two fingered salute.

"Crosshair? Bail? Do you two know each other?" Yeah I do. He was the man I fought on a mission for Lord Vader. Darthy specifically requested I do this mission because of my percision and stealth. As you probably guessed, it didn't stay a stealth mission for very long which is why Organa's not a fan.

"Of course I know that man. He's the one who tried to kidnap my daughter." In an instant every blaster, rifle, any possible item that could be used for a weapon was pointed at me. Some bitch really had the audacity to aim a kriffing slingshot at my face. Yeah real classy dude.

"Well this is going splendidly." Hunter kicked Tech in the shin for his unnecessary comment. To make matters even worse Cloudy stormed out and stood on her two legs in front of me gissung and aggressively meowing at anyone and everyone. I took a quick headcount while waiting for something to be said by someone I acrually cared about. There were exsctly 296 guns on me I just rolled my eyes and put my hands on my hips. It helps me think better.

"Has anyone taught this man about a grand thing called inhibitor chips?" Fives asked. I was surprised he was the first one to defend me. Also a fellow sarcasm user, always a pleasure.

"Bail calm down. He wasn't in control of himself at the time. My friend wasn't the one who attempted to kidnap your daughter." You could see the fury in Mr. Bail's eyes. My chest constrained painfully when a little toddler giggling ran in between someone's legs and tripled on air. Normally I would've laighed in their face, but I know who this was. It was the little girl I almost brought to Lord Vader. Cloidy suddenly stoopped her protesting and growling when the baby tried waddling out but failed epicly. Under his command I was tasked with locating Leia Organa, qnd I almost got away with it if not for-

"Princess please come back! I need to change your- oh. Greetings, I am C3PO Human Cybo-" he was cut off by the Princess slightly raising him in the air and dropping him on the ground. The golden droid was followed by an R2 unit which ran into C3PO's golden metal foot and laughed. Wait droids can laugh!? I mean I know AZI can that's why we unplugged him. But this is a new level of... wow.

"3PO get back inside immediately! And take Leia with you." I heard Ahsoka gasp from the front. Finally Hunter side stepped and let Tech and I off the ramp. The weapons followed me everywhere but I didn't care. They were all aimed at my head. There's nothing up there anyway.

"Yes sir. Right away." The blue R2 unit chirped happily and flat out electrocuted poor C3PO. But it was an effective way to get C3PO up at least. Goldie Locks helped up the little girl who's life I was a danger to apperently and led her back inside the compound. But Ahsoka called put for somebody that caused the blue droid to stop.

"Artooie?" R2 stopped in place and turned around, when he saw Ahsoka his chuckling chirping turned into thrilled screeching. It was earpiercing, but beautiful to watch as Ahsoka threw her arms around the droid in the middle of everything that's happening right now. When Ahsoka finally let go she pet the droids head kindly and stood up using Rex and R2 to support her.

"Ahsoka if he wasn't the one who tried to kidnap my daughter, then who was?" Ahsoka turned serious again as she stared him dead in the eye and said,

"Your best friends husband."

"My what now!?" To be fair did she really think he'd just say 'oh okay' and move on?

"Sir if you'll allow me to explain, Padme Amidala's husband Anakin Skywalker was the one who ordered me to come after your daughter. I wasn't in control of my body at the time and couldn't refuse." A look of realization dawned upon the Senator's face. But oddlg enoufh it happened after the first part of my explanation and not the second. Why was the name Amidala and Skywalker so important to this man?

"I-... I see. If Ahsoka Tano trusts you, I do as well. Everyone stand down!" The people surrounding us dropped or lowered their weapons, some more hesitantly than others. The two clones whose names I still don't know reached forward and hooked their arms around Ahsoka and Rex on the inside and Fives with Echo on the outside.

"I guess... that's our cue to follow them?" Wrecker asked for clarification we couldn't give. It wasn't until Ahsoka winked at us and motioned us forward we knew what to do. And we did exactly what we were told to do. We jogged up behind them with Hunter leading and us behind him as if we've been there the whole time.

"Good acting skills." Tech nudged. His smothering was getting a little annoying now. I just grunted in response and kept walking.

"Skill is skill. When you've got it, you know you've got it." Yech complimented, again. I sighed and sent him a smile he could obviously tell was fake because his real smile drooped a little. When I saw his hirt little face with rhe pouty lip I knew I messed up. Tech only pouts when he's really upset. I sighed and tried to make him feel better by sending him a real smile.

"Thank you for saving me, by the way." Oh my force that was so lame. But ol' Techie Bear is a softie for that sort of thank you and apology thing.

"Happy to be of assistance." We continued walking down the corridors whoch I founs far more comfortable than Kamino's. These halls were a soft grey with slight orange highlights where the wall and roof connect. This corridor was filled with a bunch of maintenance halls but in the center dead ahead was a big metal automatic door with a fancy symbol drawn on it. The symbol of the Rebellion. It didn't stop there though. The fancy symbol had the old mark of the old jedi order madked over the symbol of the Rebellion.
