Catalina's POV:

We continued walking through the stalls, the city where we smiled hearing swords clashing through one another then followed a man's voice

Where Corinne and I walked towards the crowd surrounding, cheering

Where Corinne and I smiled watching three men fighting against one man, using their swords

The musketeer on the stairs motioned his right arm in a circular motion, his sword hitting against the other swords causing the three men to back up out of nowhere

The musketeer on the stairs cockily laughed

Corinne and I smiled at each other before I picked up Miette, letting her watch this moment in my arms

Two other musketeers backed away letting the blonde man continue fighting against the musketeer on the stairs while their swords clashed against one another

"You'll have to do much better than that." The brunette musketeer remarked

"I'm just getting started." The blonde musketeer remarked back

The blonde man stepped forward when his opponent was able to send his sword upwards

He caught and then laughed his arms extending outwards, in a right-to-left downward diagonal, swords holding

"Oh contare, I believe you are finished." The brunette Musketter stated

The blonde man walked away letting the remaining two men fight against their opponent

The brunette was easily defeating the two men, using two swords when he wrapped his opponents' swords around, sending them upwards, causing the two to back up and seeing where their swords had gone

One of the two swords was at the top of the barrel and the other in a watermelon

Causing the crowd to applaud and clap as me, Corinne, and Miette gasped in awe after what we just saw then looked back at the brunette musketeer, smiling

"Is there anyone, brave enough to challenge me?" The musketeer asked, his arms extended outwards, holding the two swords

I smiled at Corinne, who raised her hand "I, sir." Corinne says earning the attention

Then lowered her arm "I am going to be a musketeer, too." Corinne announces, placing her arms on her hips

Before I walked forward as well. "As will I, sir." I agreed

But the musketeer was amused, lowering his arms down

"The little girls want to be musketeers." He says, handing the sword to his friend

Before they shared a laugh followed by everyone causing us to frown a bit, we looked at the two musketeers with unsure confusion

When I set Miette down on the stone pavement and then stood up

Before Corinne and I exchanged a knowing nod, we started cartwheeling towards the swords, captivating the onlookers.

Even more when they watched me perform such cartwheeling in a dress

As the two musketeers watched our skills

As Corinne headed towards the barrel and I towards the watermelon-laden cart, we both leaped, executing a side flip and landing flawlessly on the barrel and the cart respectively.

The crowd cheered for us when we grabbed the swords

Unknown to us a dog opened the cart, releasing the watermelons to roll toward the barrel that Corinne was standing on

I gasped when the cart moved causing me to yelp, falling down

Following by hearing Corinne also yelped, falling down

Seeing our falls made the people laughed

We grunted in pain, looking at the people who were laughing at us made us frown

Corinne stood up and walked towards me, extending her hand to help me rise. I smiled and accepted her assistance, grateful for the support.

The brunette musketeer raised his right hand, holding his sword "Why don't you two run along and leave the musketeering to the big boys." He mocked us

We were offended by this before we walked forward to him as my sister took out the letter

"We have a letter for Monsieur Treville." Corinne presented him with the letter

"We're sure that with him he'll make us musketeers." I continued

"So, just tell us where his office is?" Corinne finishes, questioning the two

"Over there." The brunette musketeer motioned his arm, holding his sword to his right

Where it was a building with black gates, with two men guarding the entrance

"Perhaps he will need both of your help cleaning it." The brunette mocked us before the two men laughed once more

Followed by the people, laughing as well

"Come on Lina, we'll show them," Corinne says as I walk next to her to Treville's office

As we walked to the office, a dog bounded over and bumped into Corrine's legs, causing her to yelp and release the letter.

I gasped as I went to retrieve it, but ended up smiling when I successfully picked it up.

"Rine I got the letter." I smiled when I yelped when I felt the back of the skirt of my dress pulled, causing me to fall down, letting go of the letter as well

Corinne tucked and front flipped as I fell down, grunting

As the dog caught the letter, walking

The dog glanced at us and we glared at the dog

"Hey!" Corinne frowned

"Give it back!" I frowned

Before the dog began running off we stood up and began running after the dog

"That's ours!" Corinne told the dog

"Give us our letter!" I yelled at the dog as the dog ran towards the office

We were approaching the gate when the dog leaped over the fence

One of the musketeers raised his hand outwards, to stop us from entering the gate

"Stop!" He yells at us

A few moments later two men who were guarding the door, opened the doors, letting Monsieur Treville and the Regent walkout

"Always a pleasure to see you, Phillip." Monsieur Treville commented to him, turning to face him

The two men closed the door as the two continued talking

Phillip turned his head, to look at Treville "And Treville, you must come and visit me at the Chateau." He suggested

He raised his arms, to motion the gates where the city lies

"Once Prince Louis is King." Phillip lowered his arms down

"I will have plenty of time on my hands," Phillip commented, looking at Treville

Treville lowered his gaze as Phillip said, "I am no longer looking after him or His Grace."

Treville cast his gaze downward briefly before meeting the Regent's eyes.

"You've done a fine job as Regent Phillip and Louis is now ready to be King. Just like Henry is now ready to be Duke and the King's Advisor in two days after Louis' Coronation." Monsieur Treville complimented

Philip began walking away, rolling his eyes as one of the guards opened the gate, letting him pass along with his confidante

When Philip notices us "Young ladies, are you lost?" He asked us

"Certainly, either of you have no business with these..." Regent Philip continues, looking at Treville and the men

"roguish musketeers." Philip finishes as he looks at us with a smirk

"We're not lost sir, Your Regentness," I said

"We've come here to speak with Mister Treville about becoming musketeers." Cor continues, pipped the said man's interest and curiosity

We smiled at this.

When the Regent began laughing causing us to furrow our eyebrows in confusion

"Well, that's a good one, my dears. As if a girl could ever possess the proper skills to be a musketeer." Regent Philip mocked us, offending Corrine

Before he looks at me "And much lesser, someone who has your age to be a musketeer." Regent Philip offending me

Causing us to be mad, placing our hands on our waists, looking at the Regent with mad expressions

Before the Regent stopped laughing as we looked at the dog who was eating our letter

"Your dog has our letter," Corinne informed him

"Can you tell your dog to give our letter back to us?" I asked him

The Regent looked at his dog, pointing his finger in his direction

"Brutus, please give the elder young lady, her letter," Philip commanded his dog

When Brutus heard his owner's command, he stood up, spitting the letter which Rine grabbed the letter, and we see how bitten and chewed it was

We looked at the Regent as Rine held the letter "Good day, Monsieur Treville," Philip glanced at Treville, then at us

"Musketeer?" The Regent remembered, then laughed

We looked at him, taken aback by his offensive laugh, and then we shook our heads in disapproval.

Followed by his confidante smiled, following the Regent then Brutus

Then we see the men close the gate, seeing this is our opportunity to speak to Monsieur Treville

We stepped forward to the gate when the same man who stopped us, once again raised his arm again

"Both of you will have to leave." The man told us before we saw Monsieur Treville begin turning to leave

We raised our hands to get his attention "Monsieur Treville?" Corinne called him

"We must speak to you." Corinne continued after earning his attention

"Please just hear us out...." I pleaded as Corrine and I smiled nervously at him

"I have a letter of introduction." Corinne presented the letter well... chewed letter thanks to Brutus

Seeing the letter, convinced Monsieur Treville to at least hear us out "Come with me." He says, his left arm motioned to the doors

Me and Corrine shared a smile together then to Miette who meowed at us, glancing at us

We entered the gate after Corinne opened the gate, glancing at the men as we began following Monsieur Treville

We entered the building as we walked to the in-ground balcony

"Thank you, sir." Corinne thanked him as Monsieur Treville looked at us

"Monsieur Treville, our mother has told us that you knew our father, Dartanion?" I started

When he began remembering his time with his old friend, our father

"Ah, Dartanion, he was a brave and noble musketeer. What can I do for you two?" He asked us

We looked at each other before Corinne answered "Well, Catalina and I want to be musketeers."

We smiled remembering what we've been dreaming as Monsieur Treville chuckled, glancing down for a brief moment

He looked back at us and said, "Being a musketeer requires more than just desire." He raised his left arm and then lowered it.

"It requires proper training," Monsieur Treville began, explaining as his arm motions turned to pace on the right side while we watched.

"We have trained, every day on the farm," Corinne informed him, her right hand extended widely

"And it requires years of experience," Monsieur Treville continues, looking at us, raising his left hand then lowered

"Every musketeer, must first serve his country and perform brave and noble acts," Monsieur Treville explains, his hands clutching into soft fists and then opening his palms

"Before becoming a musketeer." Monsieur Treville head motioned behind him

We listened to his explanation, as we continued hoping that he would at least he would give us a chance

"We know we can do it, please give us a chance." Cor pleaded

"We won't let you down. Please give us a chance for us to cherish our father's passion." I pleaded

Monsieur Treville walked to the side, doing a hand vertical position, "It is a privilege to protect the Royal Family and the Royal Family's Advisors" Monsieur Treville answered

"One that is not taken lightly." Monsieur Treville told us as he approached us

"I'm sorry, neither of you are just not ready." Monsieur Treville made his decision

Hearing this caused Corinne and I to feel disappointed as we looked down

When Monsieur Treville touched his hands on our shoulders, earning our attention

"But if you Corinne and you Catalina ever need anything, please come to me." Monsieur Treville told us

We only gave Monsieur Treville a nod then Corinne looked at him once more

"Thank you Monsieur Treville." Corinne thanked him

"Thank you for hearing us out Monsieur Treville." I thanked him as well

Then we gave him a last bow before Corinne grabbed my hand and started walking away from him

As he watched us leave his office where deep inside, he too was disappointed in his decision, then looked in our direction with a slight smile
