The match against Dadada High seemed to arrive quicker than expected. Both teams on the pitch made their final preparations before kick-off. Akira lingered beside Nagi, eyeing the opposition while Reo was trading verbal blows with the captain of Dadada, Nameoka Ryo.

"Why do we have to play such a weak ass team. I'm ready to shred a rich boy's dreams to pieces. Nice to meet you, princess boy."

"Can it, you football-playing meathead. Don't assume you can understand me with that tiny brain of yours."

"Excuse me?"

"You haven't seen what a real genius is like."

"Hahhahhah! It's so nice to see the self-esteem of a greenhouse-grown little boy thriving! I'll crush you with everything I've got, Mr. 'Real Genius.'"

With that, the whistle blew for the game to begin. Reo quickly snatched up the ball and sliced through the first two Dadada players, pressing towards the opposition goal, much to their captain's dismay. "Wh-What are you doing? Stop that preppy boy! Pincer him and take it!" he commanded as three defenders closed in on the amethyst-eyed boy with haste.

'huh,' the Mikage boy couldn't find a way through, as he charged at them at top speed he couldn't help but think back to a few days prior.

"I don't even know the rules of football," Nagi said as he sat in the centre of a pile of equipment, with Akira cuddled into his side after a long day of practising. "It'll be fine, Akira already knows how to play so he can help you too" Reo reassured as he looked at his two treasures, eyes glimmering with thoughts of the future and all they could achieve.

"You both just have to do what I tell you and I'll prove that you two are the best in the world. So Akira, Nagi, you need to...just trust me and play football!"

"Yes, boss."

"Okay, Reo!"

Reo couldn't help but smile as the two in question sprinted forward to join him as they passed the opposition players with ease, and when he saw that Akira had outmanoeuvred his markers and was now in open space. "Go, my darling." the indigo teen mumbled under his breath as he sent the ball flying in the bronzed teen's direction.

As he anticipated the ball's flight path he altered his course to receive it, until he felt someone shove him. Nameoka Ryo. "Take that! Don't get cocky, pretty boy! You can't take a shot if you're completely off balance. The end." He yelled as he continued to shove Akira, the two tussling as they waited for the ball to land.

Now Akira liked to think of himself as a nice enough guy off the pitch, but on the pitch, it was a different story. People often described it like he was possessed, as he fixated on one thing and one thing only. Winning, and in that moment he did not appreciate being shoved so he decided to prove a point to the man marking him.

Plucking the ball from mid-air Akira Scorpion kicked the ball into a roulette volley, sending it flying towards the goal at lightning speeds, leaving the keeper no chance of saving it.

Goal! Hakuho High 1 - 0 Dadada High.

Turning to face Nameoka Ryo for a moment Akira couldn't help but chuckle "Isso รฉ tudo que vocรช tem?" his voice sadistic and callous, it was clear he was enjoying this. His golden orbs looked at his opponent in a mixture of satisfaction and expectance, not even bothering to wait for a response as he walked off to join his team.

The rival captain felt his legs give out as he dropped to his knees in disbelief, at what had just happened. The teen before him didn't even look surprised that he had scored, as if it was the easiest thing on the planet, making Mameoka feel stupid. 'Impossible, what the hell is this creature?' he thought as he watched the rest of his team join him in celebrating his goal.

"Akira! Nice shot!"

"Eat it!"

"First goal, let's go!"

"Great Job, Akira!" Reo said as he embraced the boy in a tight hug, lifting him off the ground slightly. "No celebrate now, more goal to get!" Akira smiled his eyes bright with unspoken determination, the hunger to not only win but to bury his opponents alive.

To which his purple-hair companion nodded in agreement. "Good job," Nagi said ruffling his hair lightly, to which Akira couldn't help but blush at all the praise he was receiving but thanked his friends as they walked back to their original positions ready for the game to restart.

Hakuho High's team now played with a new spark, like sharks in the water they smelled blood and swarmed. The game continued and it was now Nagi's turn to shine, as Akira quickly made swift work of the defenders once again before laying the ball off to his white-haired teammate who had a clear shot on goal and took it.

Goal! Hakuho High 2 - 0 Dadada High.

As their team once again ran to celebrate, the trio were lifted into the air by their other teammates like idols on a pedestal, which only seemed fitting as they were the reason they were currently leading, as the trio went on to lead their team to a landslide 6-0 win. Akira scored two more goals earning himself a hat trick, while Nagi slotted a second home for himself, and Reo also added his name to the score sheet after assisting in a handful of goals.

When the final whistle blew the team couldn't help but roar with joy as they ran to celebrate their well-deserved victory, while their vanquished opponents crumpled to the floor in despair. Akira very much enjoyed the sight after enduring their ceaseless trash-talk during the starting stages of the match.

"Let's do this, Akira, Nagi! Let's become the best in the world" Reo said as he looked to his partners in crime, his eyes bright with triumph.

Akira couldn't help but share in Reo's enthusiasm, as in that moment it truly felt like they could do anything. As long as they were together. While Nagi did find the thought bothersome the joy on the tanned boy's face was enough to make him forget about those pesky thoughts and enjoy the moment.

As the team continued to celebrate amongst each other, they didn't notice a pink-haired woman standing just beyond the gates of the pitch, eyeing up their trio with eager eyes.

"Interim report. I came to Dadada High to watch their practice match for, 'Blue Lock' Project Planner and I've found three extraordinary players on the opposing team. Ego-san...I'll invite all three to Blue Lock."

Teieri Anri was ecstatic after witnessing a masterclass in scoring, 'this trio will be perfect for Blue Lock' she thought as she watched the three mingle. 'perfect indeed.'

Reo hadn't lost a match while playing with Akira and Nagi, as their team were on an unbeaten streak, thrashing powerhouses left right and centre. With little to no effort, and even less help from their teammates, they continued to improve and evolve with each other, growing closer as players and friends. With the duo helping Akira improve his Japanese, while they also learned Portuguese.

The trio did everything together as where one went the others soon followed. From gaming nights to days out, it seemed like there was never a moment where they were truly apart. But why would you ever want to separate perfection?

A sentiment that the media seemed to agree with as the three were constantly grabbing headlines, as with each match they seemed to grow more and more revered.

"Hey. I'm tired, Reo. Let's go home." Nagi groaned as he sat watching Reo run drills, while Akira was attempting to break his record of keepy-ups. "Okay, okay. I get it. But let me do the last ten, Nagi." Reo said, to which the white-haired boy groaned at his friend's response as those were the same words he had said to him...an hour ago.

"Huh? But I'm hungry. Akira back me up here." The lethargic boy said flopping onto the grass in protest, but before the bronzed boy could respond or Nagi could complain any further a voice in the distance drew their attention. "Good work today, Master Reo."

"Hey, Granny. What's up?" Reo's granny was a kind-looking woman with grey hair bunched up into two puffs and dressed in a dark purple uniform. "A letter came for you from the Japan Football Union," she said handing the letter addressed to the amethyst-eyed boy.

"Oh, that. Yeah, I got one of those too." Nagi said glancing at the letter in his friend's hand, "me too" Akira said as he finally shifted his attention from the ball at his feet and towards the conversation at hand. Taking a seat next to Reo who had sat to read his letter, peering over to see what all the fuss was about. "I've been selected as a certified athlete?" confused and interested Reo reread the letter again and again until it clicked.

"Wait, is this a training camp to get into the Japan team?" he asked looking to the two who only shrugged.

"Aw, Man. I don't wanna do training. I just wanna play video games and take naps." The sloth teen groaned at the thought of more work, life was already tedious enough why make it even more?

"What are you talking about? This is our big chance! Showing off our skills there is the quickest path to the national team. Let's practice, Akira, Nagi." Reo lept to his feet pulling Akira up with him as they both looked to Nagi who wasn't going to move.

"Uh, my legs are broken. My cells are dead. My heart stopped." Nagi said as he played dead on the ground, "Are you a zombie?" Reo asked amused at his friend's unwillingness to move. "Nagi of the Dead." Akira laughed as he aided his purple-haired friend in dragging Nagi by the legs towards the pitch.

"Jeez, what are we gonna do with you?" the Mikage boy asked satirically as the three began another harsh round of training before calling it quits just as the sun began to set over the horizon. They walked their way towards the school building, well two of them did, Reo carried Nagi so it hardly counts. Akira stayed silent as he found himself too tired to talk, his body drained from all the training so he walked in silence in favour of listening to his two friends converse.

"Ah, this is nice, the Reo limousine."

"All right, you did a good job today."

"Reo, you're a weirdo."

"Excuse me? Look who's talking"

"Because you don't find it a hassle to be around me."

"It's totally within my range, after all, you and Akira are fun to hang out with. What about you? Are you having fun yet?"

"I don't care for football, but being around you and Akira isn't a hassle, so that's good"

"Just say it's fun!"

"calmo por favor please, no fight!"

"Yeah, Reo listen to Akira."

"Fine..."
